Fantastic experience: Best move I've ever made. Anna was very helpful with getting me setup and any questions I had after. The Niles yard is definitely the one to learn at. Archie, Chino, Ms. P and Joel are a really well greased machine. If they can't teach you, nobody can.

Fantastic experience: Overall, great place to get your CDL. Everything is made easy in regards to what you need to do, where to go, etc. The learning part is entirely up to the Student. While some of the yard instructors may be a bit on the aggressive side, they are experienced and know what they're talking about, and what you need to get your license. I would say it's not for the faint of heart but then again, this industry is not for the faint of heart. I highly recommend this Academy to anybody looking for move into the commercial driving industry!

One thing I way say about this school is that you can’t take any short cuts you have to put the work in and the instructors will push you to make sure you succeed. Negative experience: Place is a money scam. You are in class for a week watching videos and then they send you to Niles at “yard” with 3 trucks. There’s a line of people waiting to hop on the truck and learn with 3 instructors 1 for each truck. You basically have to learn on your own. Instructors just sit back and watch you and dont care. Which they will tell you straight up. Your outside in the cold. Would of thought with the amount of money you pay you would at least get some kind of shelter with heat. Nothing. Stay away! Go to a better academy.

Fantastic experience: Earned my CDL 1.19.24!!! I looked at alot of trucking schools in the area and felt they were disorganized and kind of giving me the run around and very expensive. 160 DriveAcademy was not that way. Anna was my point of contact in Bensenville and got me into class on the day i went in to meet her (start every monday). My yard time was completed in Niles. All the instructors there have decades of trucking experience.. Mrs P, Archie, Chino, Keith, Hugo and Joel are all the yard instructors i interacted with in Niles. I dealt with each one and different points of training and have no complaints and each has great nuggets of advice. Very happy with my decision on this school and so is my wallet.

Not so great instructors Dave Dave was lazy and rude, didn’t do anything, left his trash in trucks, Cursed students out Called students names and more. Other than Dave, the 4 instructors that I named made the process easy for me and helped me along the way to get my CDL!

Fantastic experience: Just graduated 4-14-23, but first thing first , greatest people to help you go through process and making sure you will get CLASS A CDL, dream accomplished. Don't look for other schools, even if is little farther from your location, 160 Driving Academy is the BEST under rain , snow or sun . Marta office manager is on top of all paper work , and she will prepare you 100% to start education at 160DA, don't sleep at class and you will go through with no pain, Chino great guy with lots of positive attitude and humor, will make sure you 100% about ; in cab , combinationconnections, and part A B C, about combination vehicle, when you ready with this ,he will send you to Joe to learn skills, but don't ask Chino , 10 times in first week , when I will start straight back, he will know when , then Joe will explain how to straight back with precision from startto end line , then perfect offset park , and finally perlow parking semi with trailer , then finally when Joe decided you ready for road skill, you will go with Hugo over the streets. Pay attention when Hugo is correcting your mistakes, never be offended, by him or Chino and Joe , they push you hard forward to help you go and get your CDL . So when Hugo is saying you not double clutching, don't back talk to him you double clutching, basically you lying your self , it's simple. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend 160! Marta was extremely helpful throughout the WHOLE process & I really appreciate that. Dave is very knowledgeable and was great at teaching general knowledge in the classroom. Chino, Joel & Hugo are great Yard instructors yes they can be tough on you but it is only because they want to see you succeed. These guys are extremely knowledgeable and do a great job at preparing you for all the state exams! I truly appreciate Chino he’s the best!! From day one he was very patient with me and ALWAYS went out of his way to make sure I understood everything. Chino is the instructor for pre trip but he helped me with everything, Pre trip, Skills & Road. Anything I was having a hard time with Chino put in extra work to help me understand it and never once got frustrated with me! If you want to really learn how to become a truck driver look no further 160 is the best way to go !!!!

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience starting from Martha setting everything up and walking through all the steps to Dave going over all the need to know information throughly. When moved to the yard even tho it was cold all three instructors Joel, Chino, and Huego taught, explained and gave all the information needed to learn, understand all the information. Chino explaining all the incab, connections and pre trips to great extent. Then Joel explaining the skills part to how to accurately perform each of the skills needed to know. And Huego taking the time to explain, demonstrate and correct on each mistake made without discouraging you from learning the proper way to learn how to drive a tractor trailer combination. Highly recommend and am thankful to have the opportunity to come and learn from each one of them from the life experiences of being a truck driver. Thank you

Fantastic experience: It took me a while but I finally got done with school and got my CDL , shout to Joel and Chino , if you guys are gonna sign up to a 160 driving school sign up here they will make sure you pass they can be hard on you but it’s all worth it at the end they make sure you pass no matter what , had a bad experience at the Harvey location that I do not recommend it is nothing compared to here .

They are concise and to the point and absolutely hilarious. The amount of 1 on 1 instruction I was able to receive really helped me get through each stage of getting my cdl. They are passionate with what they do and will do everything in their power to get you to leave with a CDL and I can't thank them enough for that! The ladies in the office are also amazing, they helped me out with so much behind the scenes. They are quick with answering any question and provided me with the best route to take to solve any issue I had. The whole team is top notch for sure and I'm so grateful to have worked with them!

Fantastic experience: 160 is the best. Whether your doing 240 hours or 160. The instructors there are top tier. And Marta in the office is awesome! From the time I first went to check it out she made me immediately feel at ease. They will give you everything you need to get your Class A. Chino knows his stuff! And he’s going to make sure you know yours. Joe is going to give you the push you need to perfect your skills. And Hugo is going to make sure you know what your doing behind that wheel on the road. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me to succeed. My hats off to all of them. They definitely earned the title 160!!!!

Negative experience: Be careful here! A lot of students(especially the non latino) students have complained of racism and discrimination practaces against some of the instructors here. Theres a difference between being strict and verbally abusive. Also some of the instructors will talk bad about the other students behind their backs. You'll get your cdl but compared to other recent grads you'll know alot less at your first job.Wouldn't recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Before I started school I was nervous only because I wanted this so bad and just wasn’t sure how hard it was gonna be but all those fears went away the day I started thanks to 160 school academy it was a great experience and the instructors were hands on between them and me wanting this more then ever I now have my cdl and can’t thank them enough!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is honestly the best school around. Don’t waste your valuable time looking elsewhere for the best training around. All of the instructors are amazing, and take this very seriously. Joel and Chino push you to always do better, even if your doing good they let you know your alright and to do better. Fantastic experience: I just graduated from 160 in Bensenville a couple of days ago and I will say I felt very prepared to pass my exams. I passed on the first try and it was all thanks to Joe, Chino, and Mark. The instructors can be harsh on you but I promise it’s for the good!! They want you to graduate just as much as you do and especially prepared knowing all your information. The only way you will pass is if you do YOUR end of the bargain and study. They will feed you information that may seem overwhelming at first but you’ll get the hang of it. Don’t be scared to ask questions, they are there to help you. The ladies in the office were very nice. Maggie made sure that I was always comfortable especially since I was a woman and made my experience much smoother. Overall I enjoyed my experience here.
