Nova Driving School is one of the most reputable driving schools in the Chicagoland area. We offer a variety of classes to serve our community. Since 2003 we have expanded to 4 locations within Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, Hyde Park, Little Village and Evanston. Nova Driving School offers programs for teens and adults including preparation for written exam and road test. Continuing education programs such as Class C-Non CDL, Motorcycle, Defensive Driving Courses and much more.

Fantastic experience: What a great place to learn to drive. I highly recommend this place. If anyone is looking to book some lessons, I highly suggest you choose David B as your instructor. He gave me a lot of confidence to drive as well as super patient. Nova took care of everything for me to get my Driver’s license.

Fantastic experience: I had Frank, it was always a fun experience with him, he was funny but taught well. With him always in a good mood it made us more connected to him and we listened better, on top of this when he was serious we really payed extra attention.

Fantastic experience: Javier was a great instructor with only a few hours of road time ahead of our classes and with only 8 hours of classes with Javier total I was able to pass and get my license to due to his great communication and knowledge on the rules of the road.

Fantastic experience: Driving Prep Francisco was an awesome teacher! I tried learning from friends and family over the years (I’m an adult new driver), and he made sense of things that just didn’t click before. Road Test Pedro had me laughing and provided great advice, so that definitely helped me feel calm and confident for the road test! Thank you both so much! Phone Line Customer Service The customer service for scheduling and general questions was not good. You could tell they were winging it. Then, they scheduled me at the wrong location for road test and prep (luckily I caught that though). Where the phone team fell short, both Francisco and Pedro make up for it. If you had a funky scheduling experience, I would recommend following through anyways because the instructors were incredible.

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience at Jefferson Patk Chicago location for my DMV driving written test prep. Staff were extremely professional and helpful and the course with test prep was very helpful. I passed the DMV written test on my first attrmpt. I recommend this service from NOVA to anyone in need.

Negative experience: Instructors are great everything else is a nightmare. Scheduling is quite difficult and poor communication led to me missing my driving exam appointment.

Fantastic experience: I was taking classes for driving at Nova, with instructors: Mr. David, Mr. Roberto and Mr. Javier. All instructors are great, explaining all stuff and giving recommendations, and i am strongly recommend to take there classes, for getting driving license or if you struggle with driving. Mr. Javier also helped me practicing right before my exam. That was a great preparation!

Fantastic experience: I chose Nova because one of my friends from work suggested this school for me, because she came here. I was extremely nervous especially behind the wheel, but my instructor: Roberto. O. Helped a lot he had lots patience for me, and always gave me tips for driving, which helped me build my confidence while driving. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn and if you get Roberto his great you’ll definitely learn.

Fantastic experience: I took my 1st time driving test today and I passed. Last year of May 2023 I enrolled to Nova care I dont have any driving experience wayback in my country and never use any vehicles.. I enrolled to Nova on there full course and they teach me really well and they make me comfortable driving in small and big streets, turning right and left, parking and 3 point turn. All of my instructors are really nice, very professionals and friendly. Fantastic experience: Pedro helped me feel confident and capable after having driving anxiety for years that prevented me from getting my license. Positive experience: I just concluded my teen driving education at this driving school. The theoretical classroom instruction was great, Vannesa explained all the concepts, took time to make sure I understood them, and was kind overall. However, the behind the wheel with David was not great. At first it was fine, he instructed me on all the fundamentals of driving. However as the lessons progressed he began using his cellphone more and more, essentially leaving me to drive on my own. I had no prior driving experience, so this didn’t feel safe. Towards the end of our lessons, he would be on his phone so much that he wouldn’t notice how I was driving at all. On one occasion I came to a stop at a stop sign, looked at him for confirmation to continue driving, he continued to look at his phone, I continued driving, then he slammed the brakes and reprimanded me for not stopping. This made me feel very uncomfortable. I reached out to the driving school to express my concerns, but it honestly seemed as if they didn’t care. I am giving three stars only because of the great theoretical lessons, otherwise I would give one star.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. They took my payment, set a date and never showed up or called. When i decided i no longer wanted to work with them because they breeched their own contract, it took forever to get a refund. They were very reluctant on giving ne my money back and it took over 2 weeks for me to receive it. They promised to call back multiple times and never did. I had to contact them multiple times to resolve this issue. They made it hard for me. This was a very traumatic experience and i would never recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had a nice unexpected experience with Nova Driving School. I had to pass my driving license brilliantly because the instructors were qualified and they knew how to give the right orientation for perfect control of driving to me. I would like to thank the entire administrative team who had assisted me online for the subscription without moving, and the instructors who picked me up from my home for the practice. I recommend Nova to anyone who wants to successfully pass their driving license.
