Gainesville Driving School

Fantastic experience: Very happy with how this turned out. It eased my nerves a ton and I got my license with no issues. Just FYI, this school is a derivative of another driving school in Jacksonville called Jax Driving School. They only have one instructor here in Gainesville, and two of my lessons had to be delayed due to some personal emergencies he had, but he was otherwise a great instructor. Also, I recommend calling them directly if you have any questions or want to schedule lessons. Their website is quite outdated and inaccurate.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience getting my driver's license with them. Their office in Gainesville is closed right now so they basically operate out of Jacksonville. They still have driving lessons in Gainesville though. The driving instructor Ralph was the best, very patient and understanding. He made passing the road test very easy. I could just afford it but it was worth every $.

Negative experience: I think they're closed??? There's nothing on their website saying so, but I've tried contacting them multiple times and went to their main building near UF and it's now a construction site with new apartments. Not sure if they moved, but I can't get in touch with them!

My instructor Daniel was extremely patient, paying careful attention to my learning process and giving me timely feedback that helped me improve a lot. I was able to overcome that initial nervousness and tailor the course to learn and practice different maneuvers until I felt confident. Alex was equally patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking lessons with them!

Fantastic experience: Daniel was very patient, knowledgeable, and all around fun to drive with. I took the 1-hour session and was more than pleased with the results (97% and passed!). He preps you for all aspects of the test and teaches you anything that you're not familiar with. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Very professional business. My mom took their 8-hour driving course, and I'm so glad she did. Daniel was her instructor. He's friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Most of all, he's VERY patient! He found many different ways to explain the concepts and maneuvers to my mom. He helped her gain confidence on the road. Fantastic experience: Daniel is really awesome. He is very polite and patient. I think he developed a very fantastic teaching philosophy to make people confident in and interested in driving. I used to fail road tests because of my dangerous lane changing in the other state. I was really frustrated and freaked out when I had to do the lane changing on the road. It is really like a magic that after several lessons with Daniel that I overcame those fear and became confident in doing that. Alex is the instructor who gave me the test. He is also a nice and patient guy:) I strongly recommend this driving school.

He was very detailed and very helpful before we started . Especially when he knew I was nervous he helped me feel more confident once I got it done. I’d definitely recommend him to anybody and I’d even recommend the school even though I didn’t go to them for my class I’d definitely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Before this driving school, the thought of being on the road and behind the wheel was intimidating. However, as soon as I met my instructor Daniel, I felt like I’ve been driving for years. He’s calm and patient along with being a wonderful person to be around. I’m someone who is somewhat shy around people and Daniel was really easy to talk to. He increased my confidence with driving ten folds the first day, and where I didn’t feel a tiny bit nervous driving on the interstate. This school is definitely worth it and I would recommend everyone who’s afraid or apprehensive about driving to try out this school.

Fantastic experience: Already had my learner's permit so I did the 2 hr+E Class Driver's License package for $250 and have no regrets!. Basically, Daniel the instructor spent 2 hrs with me for a quick practice run through of the exam material before the actual test with Alex, the proctor. If you want, they'll even drive you to the tax collector afterwards to get your license issued on the spot, then they drive you back home. All in the same day. Super fast and straightforward. 10/10 would recommend this route to anyone who's already had their permit.

If you struggle with something they have you practice over and over and also instruct you to continue to practice with others. They are awesome and I thank them so much.
