Fantastic experience: I recently completed a CDL Class A training program at Carolina Trucking Academy (CTA). It was a great experience. The classrooms provided instructor led training supplemented with videos for review. With CTA's teaching approach I passed the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles tests together, the first time. The owner, Mrs. Michaela , and office staff, Mr. Scott and Mrs. Teresa, were very thorough in maintaining documentation and ensuring that the scheduling of activities kept you on track to completion in a timely manner. They also have a DMV certified CDL Third Party Examiner, Mr. Tyrone, who was very professional in the administration of the CDL test (pre-trip inspection, maneuvers, and road test). The driving instructors were all helpful in developing skills and the knowledge necessary to operate a Class A vehicle. The instructors included Mr. Roger, Mrs. Regina, Mr. Edric, Mr. Marty, and Mr. Bryant. Mrs. Regina and Mr. Edric were both exceptionally helpful in yard maneuvers and behind the wheel driving.

Fantastic experience: The best school, the best instructors! Great value. The team at CTA walk you through the process and assist you every step of the way. They care about your success all while making sure you are knowledgeable and safe. Couldn't have asked for a better experience or instructors. Put in the time, put in the effort and you will be successful.

Fantastic experience: Loved attending Carolina Trucking Academy. They made sure I had everything I needed to succeed and the staff became my extended family. Anytime I had questions about training, licensing, testing and job opportunities, it was always available and one of the instructors were always available to guide me if I had trouble navigating an app or web sight. Shout out to all of the instructors at Carolina Trucking, but I extend a special shout out to instructors Brother Monk, Mr. Roger and Mrs. Regina for staying on me and preparing me for my finals. I appreciate you all.

Ederic the instructor show me and others his passion and dedication to teach us everything we need to know about pre trip, backing, and etc .he work late hours and weekends when he didnt have to .

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from Carolina Trucking Academy on 22-Aug-24. I learned alot and appreciate all my instructors that took their time and shared their knowledge to help me out. I have to give a Big shout out to Mrs. Regina, Marty, Eldric, Scott & Mr. Rogers they are truly the Best!! If you are thinking about attending CTA, do yourself a favor and soak up all their knowledge. The OWNER is very lucky to have outstanding instructors like them.

Negative experience: They don’t care. As soon as they take your hard earned money they treat you like trash. They were taking way more students than they can handle. Some days you get to practice in the yard twice for 5 minutes in the whole 11 hours day. They also inflate your driving hours to meet the state requirements. Some instructors have no motivation and are on their phones all day long. One of those instructors insulted, yelled at me and threatened me because i didn’t understand his instructions.In the yard They let you in the truck without instructing you what you should or shouldn’t do. They expect you to figure it out yourself. The place itself is one of those prefabricated homes, falling apart and neglected. Trucks are so old and not maintained and most of them have no AC. You will melt if you go there in summer time. In The yard where they do the training, they will make you sit there in the heat and exposed to the elements waiting for your 5 minutes practice time. Please do yourself a favor and don’t make the mistake I made. Do some research about other driving schools before you commit. BTW it took me almost two months to get my license. Don’t be fooled when they tell you 4 weeks. It won’t happen

Negative experience: I am speechless nothing can describe this Nightmare , From the Manager to a Lady called D . To the old lady in the reception … they are nothing but Rude and ignorant. The manager is the worst person in the school she is nothing but psychopath Karens , instructors are Nightmare too , If you ask a question’ clearly they will tell you : read the paper that in your hand ( I felt I am doing online course defiantly 100% relying on my self . Overall experience -0 out of 10

Fantastic experience: I graduated and earned my CDL-A license from CTA on 02/20/24. Best experience ever. The entire staff were very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Mr. Scott coached me through the classroom portion and helped me study for my permit. Mrs. Dee guided me thru the pre trip inspection training and assessment. For the yard and backing maneuvers i was trained by Mrs. Regina and Mr. Rodger. Without their help and positive feedback I don’t think I would’ve graduated at all. When I made it to the road training I was placed under the tutelage of Mr. Doug who put me behind the wheel of a Freightliner Cascadia. At first I was nervous but Mr. Doug watched and guided me every step of the way and definitely put me at ease as I drove the streets of Raleigh and the backroads of Garner. Once finished with the road portion it was time to test out. My test was conducted with Mr. Tyrone. He was all business yet very fair. The only pressure I felt was what I put on my self. At times I would freeze up and have to think of what to do next but he was very patient and never once made me feel anxious or rushed. Overall my experience at CTA was 100% positive and I’d definitely recommend CTA to anyone in the Triangle area looking to earn their CDL A or B license or forklift and heavy equipment certification. Honorable mention, instructors Mr. Alex, Mr. D and Mr. Edric who were all available to help with any questions. Mrs. Terressa who kept things in order and the owner Mrs. Michaela for giving me the opportunity. (Sorry if I misspelled any of the names)

Negative experience: I regret to say that my experience with Carolina Trucking Academy was less than satisfactory and I find it difficult to recommend their services. This sentiment is particularly true for those who, like myself, are unable to take a full month off from work. My personal experience with the academy was disappointing. I was working full-time while attempting to obtain my Class A CDL through their program. Despite being assured that my work schedule would not pose a problem, I found the reality to be quite different. The financial commitment to the academy is substantial, with the cost of their Class A CDL course running into the thousands. I was willing to make this investment in my future, and dedicated myself to completing the course and fulfilling all required hours. However, when it came time to take my final test, I was informed that it was too late for me to obtain my CDL. The academy provided no explanation as to why this was the case, leaving me both frustrated and confused. In conclusion, I would advise potential students to carefully consider their options before committing to Carolina Trucking Academy. The lack of flexibility and communication I experienced was a significant drawback, and one that has unfortunately influenced my overall view of the institution.

Fantastic experience: Scott, Mr Williams and Mr D do an absolutely amazing job they’ll work with you every chance they can and you’ll get the time to develop proficiency in the things that matter and be patient with you and allow you to learn I really appreciate what they did thank y’all so much!

Fantastic experience: I recently attended Carolina Trucking Academies' Heavy Equipment Operators program, and it was a great experience. Instructor Steve's passion and dedication created a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. His teaching style, which includes incorporating jokes as tests, made the process engaging and fun. Steve's extensive knowledge and practical expertise ensured a broad understanding of the subject matter. He provided constant guidance and support, going above and beyond to ensure our success. Overall, this program exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone aspiring to be a skilled heavy machine operator. With Steve's guidance, you'll gain the necessary skills for a fulfilling career in the industry.

Fantastic experience: Carolina Trucking Academy was an awesome experience. The staff is amazing. Mrs. Michaela is the new owner she is doing her best in making sure is ran properly. She is strict, firm but she is fair and wants you to succeed. Scott is an awesome individual who goes out of his way to help in anyway he can. I mainly did my driving with Mr. D and that man will get you right. He is tough but it's only to make you better I learned so much with Mr. D. If I had to do it again, I would request Mr. D as my instructor. He is old school and will tell you how it is. With his knowledge I know I will succeed in my driving career. What brought me to them is they work with your schedule. I had a full time job and was still able to attend class. They let me come at 7am and leave at 12pm. Yes it took me longer than four weeks but i dont know many if any schools that will allow you to do that. I would recommend anyone looking to obtain their cdls to check out CTA.

Anyone willing to show up every day ready to learn will be taught by great instructors. And with the combined effort of the team they do an outstanding job to not only help you pass the CDL test but to also help you find a career path before your training is complete. Fantastic experience: This program, and the people who make it great, have changed my life. The staff cares about its students. They want you to learn the right way. They care about your success. The personalities amongst the yard instructors make coming to school during this time fun. This has been more than a get-my-CDL experience. This has been that but so much more. They went out of their way to see me succeed and that's the attitude they have towards their students. They truly care. So, I highly recommend this program to anyone contemplating getting a CDL. Fantastic experience: Carolina Trucking Academy is AMAZIIIIIING!!! From the owners, office staff and instructors, everyone was very knowledgeable and willing to help. Being at this school makes me feel so proud of myself, accomplishing something I've wanted for a long time and this school was the perfect place to do so. Fantastic experience: Making the decision to acquire my Class A CDL was an easy one for me since being a professional driver was the first thing I can remember ever wanting to be. Plus my wife and I are full-time RV'ers with a combined weight of truck/5th wheel of 30,000 lbs. hence the Class A (NCDMV laws concerning RV's are very vague/gray and answers even differ from DMV office to DMV office, so better safe than sorry). Now at 54 years old and some 4 years from retirement, I took the plunge. Deciding to attend classes at CTA was the best decision I could have ever made. The entire staff at CTA are the best bunch of people I have ever met. They are all so incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help the students learn exactly what they need to, not to just drive a semi but to drive a semi correctly and most importantly...safely. They honestly care and desire to teach the student and enjoy seeing the students succeed. They even catered to my individual needs of being able to attend Wednesday classes only, due to being employed full-time and made sure I didn't miss any information that may have been passed along in my absence. I would love to name each staff member and something I learned from them but this review would be so long no one would read the entire thing. So, with that said, I would highly recommend attending Carolina Trucking Academy and will tell everyone I meet in the future that expresses the desire to acquire their commercial drivers license the same thing. Yesterday was the best and worst day of my entire experience of attending classes at CTA. Best...I graduated with my Class A CDL. Worst...I'm going to miss seeing the staff members every Wednesday. Thank you to all of the staff members at CTA! You gave me knowledge and memories I will never forget!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from CTA and my experience was great, from the first day the leaders explain to you what to look for in this class and until the end every word was true. Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Gray have a wonderful school and a great team. Your dream can be achieved to have a CDL with the instructions from and leadership and hard work at Carolina Trucking Academy. I learned more from this place than just about trucking.

Positive experience: I am satisfied with my coming to this school they provide all the tool for you to succeed in getting ur cdl if ur a motivated self driven person who takes instruction well you can do well with no problems the instructors are good at their job so if you can focus on the task you will pass no problem the class works if you do

Fantastic experience: This place is great! I was hesitant before starting classes because I knew nothing about trucks but I am so glad I pushed myself to learn something knew. The instructors and owners are great there and by the end of the classes I felt ready and confident to start working. Thanks to CTA I was able to secure a job and start working right out of school.

Fantastic experience: I have attended the school and yesterday I pass the 160 hours required for my class A. The staff was really straight up on what it would take to pass the school and be successful. Mr. Charlie, Mrs. Donna, Mr. David, and Mrs. Teresa made sure all students have equal opportunity and there was always an open door policy. The instructors on the yard was really helpful from the pre trip, backing, and driving. They made sure every student got hands on. Special thanks to Tony he is a great instructor on backing up a tracker and trailer. Mr. Kevin thanks for teaching me how to shift a manual Transmission. This was an excellent experience. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to get there CDL.

Fantastic experience: Carolina Trucking Academy is owned and operated by one of the world’s best families. Charlie and Dona are really great and they treat everybody like the way they want to be treated, with love and respect. Going to this school has been one the best decisions and a great accomplishment. I even sent my son to obtain his CDL. Now we are father and son CDL certified. Very soon my other son and my nephews will attend. Big thank you and love to Carolina trucking academy instructors who worked so hard passionately and sincerely. I was determined to get my CDL and this school got the job done for me and my boy. I will never forget each and every one you. You all mean the world to me. You didn’t give up on me and I made sure I didn’t give up either. I remember seeing David the examiner and Charlie along with the instructors so happy when people would graduate. They want you to succeed and put in the work and it will happen. I’m 61 and it’s never too late. My only regret is that I didn’t attend sooner. Fantastic experience: Carolina Trucking Academy offers exceptional training by the best instructors in the industry. It's not only their knowledge and experience that sets them apart. The instructors care about you as an individual and take the time and patience to help you learn. I also learned from other accomplished students who come from a variety of sectors: master journeymen, seasoned drivers from other countries, folks from the corn and grain industry, etc. Attending the Academy opened my eyes to the beauty of the Trucking industry. Negative experience: The owner Charlie is one of the biggest a** I’ve ever met. First day there he come in there loud being rude saying. “I DONT NEED YALL, YALL NEED ME”. poorest introduction ever. During my time there I saw workers leave due to his attitude. Stir free of him & you will be good.

Fantastic experience: They are the most flexible when it comes to your schedule out of the other schools and they also still offer manual transmission training.

Fantastic experience: Excellent training, however learn extensively how to read maps.. also time it takes to travel from one place to another.. before deciding to lease on a vehicle.. don't be hasty but way out the consequences..put time into working for a company and it will take time..

Fantastic experience: I graduated at Carolina Trucking Academy. I was given the proper knowledge and tools to be able to pass my tests and obtain my CDL (Class A). The owners, instructors and examiners (K-ron and Kevin) are all amazing, encouraging people. Negative experience: Don’t fall for the “ get your cdl in 16 days”. You will be in training longer than 4 weeks. There short on instructors with high capacity classes coming every Monday. With big classes your time practicing in the truck will be reduced a lot. You might get in the truck and practice 1 time for 15 -30 mins out the whole day. The owner is a very disrespectful creature wit no leadership qualities at all. If you can i highly advise you to keep your 5k and go somewhere else to get training.

Fantastic experience: So be prepared to bring your A game (pun intended )! You need to be ready to challenge yourself in this program. You will not get special treatment just because you laid out 5 grand. They will give you the tools you need and tell you what is expected, the rest is up to you to take advantage of the training they provide. This will assure your success! If you do take this program you can only hope that Mr “D” or kevin will be your trainer. Between both of them there experience and knowledge was instrumental in my completion of the program!!!

Fantastic experience: Great school to get your CDL. Instructors are knowledgeable and experienced. Best part is that they have DMV certified examiners at the school so no long wait at DMV or having to ride with a uniform beside you, if that makes you nervous. Also, they have relationships with several big name companies instead of you being tied down to one, like some schools do. They don't guarantee you employment, but their placement is very high and in this day and age with the shortage, pass and you will get placed.

Fantastic experience: This place excepts the GI bill. Give them the info they need on their website and the do the rest. It was very easy to get the info and when they had it, they did the rest. I received the GI housing allowance and the school was paid in full. I only had to pay DMV fees to get my license and it was around 150 bucks in total. They will give the knowledge to pass the permit test easily. They are professional and expect you to study and be ingadge all the time. The 16 day course is busy and there is a lot to learn. They will work with you if they see you are trying your best.

Fantastic experience: Glad I came to Carolina Trucking Academy. Everybody is very helpful the instructors where awesome. Steve was very helpful in teaching how to back the truck up. Kelvin was awesome in teaching us how to drive the truck and not just to get a cdl license these two guys where instrumental in my success. Fantastic experience: Enjoyed my very 1st day Aug 2, 2021!! Mr. Charlie & Mrs. Donna are very good people. Today Nov. 23, 2021, I picked up my Diploma of Completion at Carolina Trucking Academy. Had to stop a couple of months to straighten out vision issues with DMV. Want thank the (CEO)Mr. Charlie, (VP)Mrs. Donna, (Adm Asst) Ms. Teresa and their wonderful knowledgeable staff. Instructors ~ K-ron, AJ, Robert G., Tyrone, Steve, and Mr. D is who I got a chance to work with. All contributed to me achieving the Diploma of Completion and a CDL-B. Thanks Mr. D!! He did my road test. He runs a tight ship, which is good for any potential CDL licensee. THANKS CTA!!

Fantastic experience: Great staff included Owners, Teresa, and all the instructors ( David, Steve, k-ron , Kevin, Kelvin, and Travis that were passionate with teaching and some with 40 years exp with trucking. The Industry is paying great wages and CTA has great tuition prices , also NC state grants to help you if you need it...i was very impressed...if you show up and listen to what they say , you will succeed.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin, this experience at Carolina Trucking Academy was one for the books especially as a female driver who needed more support and one on one time to develop the skills I needed to maneuver the truck backwards and forwards. Mr. Charlie is a hoot, and through his humor he is encouraging and adamant about the level of professionalism you as students should display. Mrs. Donna is the sweetest and as the co-owner she supports new students in the classroom as well as on the yard. Mr. Dave never gave up on me, and refused to let me rest from backing after I worked daily to convince him I needed a break . I tested for backing 3 times, not 1, not 2, but 3. I attribute those opportunities to being diligent, working hard, being focused, speaking with the instructors daily and displaying my drive, HOWEVER it was the grace and desire for my success from Mr. Charlie, Mr. Dave, Mr. Kron, Mr. Steve and Mr. Travis (my favorite all time tester), Mr. D and Mr. Kelvin, they were pulling for me all along and I didn’t realize until they all told me. Mr. D, Mr. Kelvin, and Mr. Kevin took me out on the road and taught me how to DRIVE and SHIFT!!!!!! They were so patient, understanding, and literally taught me how to be observant on the road. Get ready for Mr. D and Mr. Kelvin to make you get it right, because they have to ensure you can drive a manual truck not just get a CDL. You will know you made it when all the staff at school calls you a TRUCK DRIVER . I made it because all the staff wanted me to make it and gave me everything they had. I will forever be grateful for their outstanding support, teaching, 1st, 2nd and 3rd chances, and encouragement. I got my tuitions worth x100. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. If I can do it, as a school teacher who never drove a manual car, anyone can. P.S. be kind and respectful and they will wholeheartedly reciprocate. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I don’t get to write GREAT reviews very often , However this is one I look forward to I am a former student at Carolina Trucking Academy in Raleigh NC The staff and instructors are incredibly knowledgeable about their trade Let’s start at the top and I will give you my opinion. Mr Charley is the mussel of the school . Ms Donna is the real boss Ms Teresa keep all things paperwork moving smoothly, not sure what they pay her but it’s not enough . Mr David ( Lead DMV instructor ) On the yard he was incredibly busy , I ask him when he had a little time could he help me with a couple of questions. He stoped in his tracks to help me . Mr Kevin ( Vehicle inspections) I personally watched him sit in the cab of a hot truck for hours and go through in cab with many students and myself. So thankful for his dedication. Mr Karon ( Backing and off set ) day after day student after student, just ask him a question and he will explain over and over if that is what it takes . Mr Steve ( Backing and 90 degree ) I have been around trucking most of my life and I have never seen another person that can backup a tractor trailer as good . He has a very unique way of teaching, his humor and great personality keep the attention of the students. Awesome asset to the school . Mr George ( Heavy equipment ) He is the most vigilant safety and covid compliance person that I have meet . Mr Kevon ( Driving Instructor and USMC ) The most patient person that I Have meet in along time . His teaching methods are incredible. I think he could teach you to fly a plane . Mr “ D “. ( Driving Instructor) If you get in the truck with Mr D you will understand what I am saying If you want the unfiltered truth and a honest answer as to how you are Driving or not Driving , He WILL tell you . Great, Great Teacher. Mr Travis ( Driving Instructor and DMV Examiner ) I wish that I got to spend more time with him , He has a great personality, very easy to talk to and you can tell he enjoys his job . Oh and he has the coolest bracelet that I have seen . I am sorry my review was so long but I stand behind every word . Fantastic experience: First off, l want to say, Thank you Carolina Trucking Academy for allowing me the opportunity for a career change. I appreciate the structure and the timely manner in which l was able to become knowledgeable of the trucking industry. Fantastic experience: I learned a lot through this academy. Not only were the instructors easy to work with, they helped me where I needed it most. The program is well thought out and very straight forward. If you attend CTA with a desire to attain your CDL’s, and the will to listen and learn, you will leave with your CDL’s. Fantastic experience: It is important to know that discipline is everything. Carolina Trucking specializes in discipline because they know truckers have a great responsibility in their hands. If you don’t have discipline, this job is not for you, but if you have discipline and enthusiasm, you will be able to obtain the CDL. It is important to know that you will receive a lot of information in just 4 weeks. Many times, it is very difficult to process everything in such a short time but take a lot of courage, follow all the instructions of the instructors. They will help you with everything you need but remember that you must do your part and have a lot of patience. Do what you are told and you will be successful. When you come here just make sure you pay attention and get all the information you can because just like the real world... no one is going to baby you !!!! You have to want it ! Positive experience: There’s a lot I could say but to much to type. So I would just go and thank you all for everything. But quickly if I could change something about the school the thing would be having one set standard on how the instructors would teach the backing. I didn’t have much of an issue with this but I did notice some students having trouble due to being with a different instructor everyday and the instructor teaching their own way. It would confuse some students. James and Travis thank you both for teaching me how to drive the truck for y’all’s patience and all the knowledge I was able to get from y’all in the short amount of time. Jeramie ( sorry if I missed spelled your name ) man I have to say if not for your help on backing I would of failed so thank you. K’ron your just the best a pre-trip thank you for everything man. Steve.......... man leave the whistle at home for one day. Just one. Haha just kidding. Thanks for teaching me the In-cab George I wasn’t in you class but your a good man. Study pre-trip man. Fantastic experience: What can I say? Carolina Trucking Academy is a great school to go and get your CDL. The staff is awesome from the receptionist to the owner. Emmy is awesome! She will help and answer any questions that you may have. Donna is very helpful too, she helped with the VA paperwork, and told me what I needed to do and fill out. The instructors are great! There’s Mr. Billy, Mr. K-Ron, Mr. James these gentlemen are there to help you out to get your CDL. They will teach you the best way they can. Just listen to what they have to say and I promise you will be alright. I definitely recommend Carolina Trucking Academy!

Negative experience: My son recently went there to register for classes passes the instructor his paperwork the instructor tells him "your handwriting is terrible" then asks him if he does "dope" this place is unprofessional don't waste your time

Fantastic experience: CTA is set up for safety It's not here are the keys to a 150,000$ truck and drive They test you out at each level safely as you move at your own speed through the course Of 4 weeks They teach DMV basic requirements to pass so you can start driving I discovered that there is a lot more hugging and prayer in trucking than I first thought The instructors and students encourage you in a professional and family like atmosphere There are a lot of pitfalls in trucking but CTA can help you avoid some with a good base knowledge of the truck, rules of the road and safety. If you are starting out new in trucking Carolina Trucking Academy is a must attend school for starting a successful career. I would drive across country to attend this school but I am blessed that this school is in my hometown of Raleigh NC

Fantastic experience: Charlie and Donna are great people that want to help people to be successful. They talk to and treat you like family. The yard staff: Special K, Rodney and Kevin are absolutely OUTSTANDING! They do everything they can to put you in the best possible position to "get it done". The road staff: Leon, James, Mr. D and Dewayne all have their own way of getting you to perform. They work you so that you can be in position to get your CDL on your first attempt. My experience at CTA was incredible. Everyone knew my name and they were all supportive during the whole process. When. Things didn't go well for a student they all rallied around that student and encouraged, motivated and inspired that student! If you're looking for a school, this is the one!

Fantastic experience: The staff and instructors at Carolina Trucking Academy are "GREAT". They will work with you every step of your journey. If you need a question answered, they will provide the answer for you. I can say I had some favorite instructors and 1 favorite person in the office, she is a true blue Carolina girl!!!!! If you are looking for a place to get your CDL Class A license, this is the place. It is well worth the time and the money. The days will go by fast and if you are willing to listen and learn the material, along with studying, you will graduate with no problems. Fantastic experience: This is Jamarielle, I am one of many who obtained a CDL from Carolina trucking academy. The course required effort but the owner Charlie, David, and other instructors are amazing at helping students, it's almost like family. You will get the experience and all, it's well work it. I never drove a manual transmission car and never drove a automatic truck of such and yet I can now shift a 10 speed 18 wheeler like I own it!

Fantastic experience: I had no idea what to expect when I first called. Ms. Donna was able to help me over the phone with lots of information. I was able to use my GI Bill and did not have to come out of pocket for the course. The course itself was great. It was fast-paced, but all of the instructors are very knowledgeable and willing to talk about the industry. Overall I had a great experience for the 16 days it took me to complete the course.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have made a better choice when picking my CDL school to attend for my CDL. The instructors were all great! Ma. Rhonda, the lady at the front desk is friendly and more than willing to help. Kron the pretrip instructor did his best. Rodney and Kevin, the two backing instructors during my time, were great. They helped me stay motivated and made it fun! Leon is sarcastic but funny. He is a great guy and I’m happy I got the chance to get drive time with him. Mr. D is cool, calm, and collected. His tone almost never changes so that helped me stay relaxed while learning, which is greatly appreciated. The last instructor I did drive time with was Wayne. He has his own style of teaching. During the time I was with him I absolutely hated it but in the end, I appreciated it. I learned how to downshift like a champ. LOL. David is the DMV examiner. He cannot instruct, because he does the exams, but was friendly and answered any questions he could, which was helpful as well. I would highly recommend the school to anyone who is looking to get their CDL and go. The program is 16 days Monday- Thursday and it’s not easy. In the words of Charlie, the owner, “it’s a process”. He is definitely entertaining and also helpful with job placement. His wife, Donna, is super friendly and works in the office as well. Good luck to anyone who decides to attend the school! ✌

Fantastic experience: CTA was good experience.. If u go there focused and dedicated. I just graduated Monday 7/1/19.. In the 4 weeks there I showed up everyday and listen to the instructors. The staff were great.. I even picked up my forklift certification while i was enrolled in CDL training.. The instructors i must say there was a few that were great to learn from and some that just doesn’t well at teaching.. GEORGE- My heavy equipment instructor was a easy goin guy for the 2 days i had him. Was a blast to be around very classy and respectful guy.. KEVIN - great person, Good instructor & great patience LEON - Great guy and funny lol. He will teach u great shifting if u will listen and pay attention. Has great patience and if u grind his gears his favorite words to u will be “GOODNESS GRACIOUS “ but good guy.. Mr. Leon was a blast to be around. MR. D - Even though i didn’t get a chance to ride with him his overall demeanor seems laid back and always keep a smile on his face. WAYNE - This guy is a instructor nobody likes to go out with. I must say i learned from him and he isn’t that bad at all.. He doesn’t like to give credit when u do something right but will criticize u when u wrong lol and that’s his favorite word “WRONG” lol but good guy overall just pay attention. WAYNE’S WORLD.. BRIAN - This guy here is a young cool, laid back, jokingly instructor who’s main purpose is to see you do great and graduate. He’s very PASSIONATE about what he does and you can see he’s not there just for a paycheck. I seen this guy take a student who had no confidence in they self to making them feel like they belong in the trucking industry. CTA biggest problem is they do not have enough BRIAN’s on staff and I say that with all honesty. This guy is the TRUTH and won’t let up until u get it. Take me for instance i was a great student but with his knowledge it made me a greater student and took my backing maneuvers and up shifting and down shifting to another level. When i would drive and he’s on the passenger he was just as relaxed like i was a veteran behind the wheel. If Charlie (the owner of CTA) could clone this guy it would b great money spent lol joking.. But this guy i will miss but good thing we are from the same county so i know i will see him around. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if in the future he had his very own academy. Brian is respectful at all times and treats u like a adult and not like some kid. Some think he’s a show off but I see a man that’s PASSIONATE & knows the in’s and out of a truck. Brian takes his time to make sure you understand and have the knowledge of safety, maneuvers and driving.. THATS MY GUY Keron- he’s a fairly new guy but i appreciate his pointers he give and he’s a fairly good instructor that doesn’t get enough credit but a good guy.. DAVE (DMV INSTRUCTOR) - Nice guy who makes u feel relaxed and comfortable. Dave will share his knowledge here and there very thankful for this guy and gave me a good pointer on my 90 degree backin. MR. CHARLIE - the owner.. A very serious but funny guy that puts u on point every time he speaks. He’s a big DUKE fan so if your a UNC fan just find another academy to attend lol just joking. Good guy that’s gonna let u know u here to get your training..

Fantastic experience: Carolina trucking is one of the most best schools I ever attended I didn’t know how to drive a stick shift to save my life but all the instructors mold me in to being a lean mean truck driving machine sure it was scary at first and they even gave some tough love training but bein out on that road is no joke know that driving those big trucks require a lot there no synchronized computer to make that truck move it’s all in the man behind the wheel.
