Fantastic experience: After failing my road test three times, I decided to switch to a different driving school in hopes of achieving better results. This decision turned out to be the best choice I made before the New Year. I’d like to share my experience. First, the staff at Mr. Yang’s Driving School was exceptional. I appreciated how quickly they responded to inquiries via both email and phone. They addressed my concerns about the course and the enrollment process when I decided to switch from another school. The staff was communicative and transparent, which made the entire enrollment process smooth and easy. They set reminders for my classes and road test and were flexible with rescheduling when necessary. My driving instructor, Eric, was one of the best I’ve had, especially considering I had three previous instructors. Eric wasn’t just focused on helping me pass the road test; he also taught me how to be a safe, responsible driver. In the beginning, I was only focused on passing the test, but Eric explained the reasons behind driving techniques, such as observation skills, and the importance of driving safely to better prepare me for the real world. As an immigrant, I was nervous about taking my road test in NYC but Mr. Yang's experience and calm demeanor was exactly what I needed. He explained the rules of the road clearly and patiently, and he made sure I understood them before we got behind the wheel. Mr. Yang's cars are also top-notch. They're clean, well-maintained, and easy to drive. I felt comfortable and confident behind the wheel, which helped me perform my best on the test. I took the DMV mandatory 5-hour course and purchased the road test+car rental from Mr. Yang's services. In our 45 minute practice we went through the basics, and got the confidence to pass the tests at the first try. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Mr Yang’s Driving School enough. I started learning how to drive when I was a bit older and I’ve always been a little anxious about driving. Fantastic experience: I can't begin to explain how amazing my experience with Mr Yang driving school was. This is my experience, I got the 5 hrs course that includes a 90 driving session, course was over zoom, you can pick from 2 different schedules based on what's easier for you, scheduled my driving session which was a great help to get my confidence back as an experienced driver. I also got the package where they schedule your DMV appointment, lend you a car and the best part is that you get a warmup 45 minutes session before your actual test, which is a game changer. Passed my test on my first try as someone who never drove in nyc before. Both instructors were nice, professional and personable, felt like having a friend teaching you. Fantastic experience: Found Mr Yang Driving school thru groupon. I got the coupon for the 5 hrs pre-licensing and one 90-minute professional driving session. I am glad I purchased this- they offered the best rates, the class was very informative and the 90-min driving session was great. My driving instructor Eric was very patient and allowed me to learn through my mistakes. He taught me driving techniques which helped me be more confident and safe. Mr. Yang driving school also assisted me in booking for the road test. On exam day, I had about 45 minutes warm up driving around before Eric drove me to the road test area. He coached me minutes before my turn which helped me a lot too. I passed the exam, thanks to Mr Yang Driving School and Eric. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: TL; DR: Learning to drive with Mr. Yang’s Driving School was a great experience. There’s a reason why all their reviews are 5-stars. If you’re looking to decide which driving school to go with, make the easy (and right choice) and just pick Mr. Yang’s Driving School, especially if other schools didn’t work for you. You will be paying for good instruction, not for “instructors” who are in the car with you just to press the brakes for you. Overall Experience: I was a new driver with 0 experience, and I passed the road test on my first attempt after taking 10 lessons with Mr. Yang’s Driving School and almost no extra practice outside of the lessons. I was given detailed constructive feedback on my driving during and at the end of each lesson. We ran through several mock road tests before the road test which helped me to be fully prepared. My instructor was Kenny who is a very thorough, patient, and methodical teacher. He not only prepared me for the road test, but also helped me develop the skills and confidence to drive in NY. He provided individualized attention and was committed to teaching me how to drive. Every lesson felt stress-free because Kenny is chill, fun, and makes you feel at ease. I could see my own improvement with his instruction. His teaching method formulaically breaks down how to drive and helps you identify and correct your weaknesses/bad habits. You will come out of his lessons understanding what, where, when, how, and why for everything you need to know about driving (at least on local roads). You will even be able to master parallel parking within a lesson. Your driving will become so smooth that you could put anyone to sleep in your car, even your most queasy carsick-prone friend . Notes: - Mr. Yang’s Driving School was quick to respond (within 24 hours) to the questions I had before I signed up with them. They were always professional and quick with communications. - Kenny speaks English, Cantonese, and (probably) Mandarin. - I also took the 5-hr pre-licensing course with Mr. Yang. It was conducted virtually, and scheduling was pain-free. - The car used for my lessons was clean, well-maintained, and fairly new (2022 Honda Insight). - Lessons are one-on-one and 1.5 hours. Mr. Yang’s Driving School maximizes the time you spend practicing and ensures that you get the amount of time you pay for. Before I signed up for lessons, I discussed with friends who took lessons at different driving schools that offered 45-minute lessons, which they felt like were always too short because it’d take their instructor 10-15 minutes to drive to the area they’d practice in (leaving only ~20 minutes for actual driving practice). - Kenny is a NYS certified driving instructor, and the difference between his instruction method and lots of other instructors is obvious. You would probably be able to tell during lessons when you encounter other student drivers and their instructor. You will never hear Kenny teach you to drive “just based on how it feels”.

Fantastic experience: I chose this driving school after checking Google for the highest reviews nearby and booked 10 sessions since I had no prior driving experience. The reviews were spot on! From my initial phone call inquiry to the Goodluck wishes for my road-test, the customer service was excellent. I passed my road-test yesterday (first try)- yay! Most of the credit goes to the school, especially to my instructor Eric. He is friendly, approachable, and thorough in teaching what you need to be a good driver and pass the test. Fantastic experience: If you’re a first time driver and are looking for a school to begin this journey, PLEASEEEEE do not look or go anywhere else!!! For context, I started out with another school and purchased a package consisting of 10 lessons and 2 road tests (plus add on lessons), but failed TWICE, inheriting driving insecurities and anxiety in the end. If you’ve failed the road test, and have no clear understanding what causes the mistakes, but feel like something is off, it’s extremely frustrating. With that preface aside, I cannot RAVE enough about Mr. Yang’s Driving School. The difference was night and day! My only regret was that I didn’t start with them to begin with. Kenny was my instructor, and he is Godsend! He diagnosed the mistakes caused by bad habits never corrected before with a weak fundamental, i.e., understanding the types of turns, how much to turn the wheel, and patterns. How I was allowed to take the road test twice by the previous school remains a mystery. After the first assessment lesson, he helped me pick out the right package. I was just gonna buy the one with the most lessons in it in my desperation; talk about integrity when doing business. With the Sensible New Driver package, we focused on the weaknesses and break bad habits to prepare me for the road test, only 5 lessons later. He is professional, verrryyyy patient (breaking bad habits is hard folks), and kind, while also meticulous about the details. Our sessions are relaxed and fun, but also felt like state-of-the-art drill exercises, dealing with real-life scenarios. The explanations he gave were straight forward, clear, and effective. I saw a difference in my driving and the consistency in the results. Not only does he prepare you to be a safe driver, but also a knowledgeable driver; knowing why you do the things you do and execute the right techniques! He knows what they’re looking for, the level of expectations on the exam, and makes sure that you are well prepared. I took the road test again after 5 lessons and passed! Kenny has opened up a whole new side to driving and I’m so grateful to have found this school! I’ll be continuing with more classes with them in the near future. I’m definitely getting my confidence back on this journey, thanks to Mr. Yang!

( I’m taking from the experience Mr.Yang driving school was my 3 rd school which I went to in New York area and I’m so grateful that I finally found the school which is really TEACHING students how to drive/ and how to pass the exam! ) I only regret that I didn’t find them back in 2022 when I just started to learn how to drive! I had a possibility to have a classes and drive with both Erik and Kenny! Thank you both for your professionalism, for your driving tips and being so helpful! Fantastic experience: If it wasn't for Kenny from Mr. Yang's driving school, I don't think I would have passed the road test. Having ADHD and high anxiety made driving so much more difficult for me, however Kenny's patience and guidance allowed me to excel and trust myself especially during the test, which I had failed 2 times with another school before coming to Mr Yang's Driving school. Highly highly recommend especially for people who have anxiety and who have not succeeded with other driving schools.

Fantastic experience: Eric is a great instructor, I've taken lesson from another place many years and they just yell at you when they don't do things properly but don't explain. Eric took the time to explain things and in a way where you understand, and also gives you great confidence to even when you are nervous. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had felt nervous after I failed first attempt last time before enrollment. So I decided to take 2 sessions with Instructor Mr. Kenny before taking my 2nd road test. Fantastic experience: I took the road test before and it didn’t go well, even though i am a driver , i didn’t pass the road test, i felt Very disappointed.I didn’t know how many lessons i needed, i took the consultation lesson with Kenny and he suggested i only Needed a refresher (3 lessons), this saved me money and time because i didnt Need to take so many lessons. Eric was my instructor, he was so helpful and so detailed. I couldnt Parallel park to save my life, and now i can! I picked the sensible driver package which includes the 5 hour class, 5 driving sessions, 2 road tests and 1 extra driving session before my road test. My instructor was Eric. Fantastic experience: What can i say, these guys (Eric & Kenny) really do teach you with the right material and patience. I had been driving before but these guys gave me what i needed for the test and better ways to do things. All my wrongs they corrected and were straight to the point.. that way i understand immediately why i shouldn’t do what i was doing. My parking was off, and with a simple tip they fixed it quickly. They were patient with me and had me consistent with practice. I recently just passed my test because of them. All i can say is thank you to Mr Yang Driving School.

Thanks to his expert guidance and encouragement, I gained a newfound confidence in my driving skills, even though I only started behind the wheel a mere two months ago. Fantastic experience: Look no further, this is easily the best driving school in Queens, NY. Kenny is an amazing instructor who assisted me in preparing for my road test. I didn’t have any experience at first but he taught me all that I needed to know to pass and be the best driver I can while being on the road. His packages are affordable and totally worth it. I particularly liked that each lesson was 90 mins in comparison to other schools that are only 45mins with similar price points. When you attend make sure you spread the good word. Thank you Kenny!
