Golden Medal Driving School (第一驾校)

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test on my first try. My instructor Francis was patient and helpful throughout all my lessons. He gave excellent feedback and was very clear on instructions. I would 100% recommend this instructor.

Positive experience: I started my driving lessons with Andrew and took seven lessons with him. Honestly, calling him a bad teacher is putting it lightly. He was incredibly rude and short tempered, which was really discouraging since I had no prior driving experience. His harsh tone and attitude made me feel like I’d never be able to drive. I ended up failing my first road test, and while I know I made mistakes, I truly believe a big part of it was due to his poor teaching style and the anxiety he caused me. After the test, I even lied and said it went fine just so I wouldn’t have to deal with his criticism. After that, I decided to book two more lessons, but this time, I switched instructors, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. My new instructor was Robert and he was calm, patient, and supportive. He never made me feel bad about myself and always kept a positive attitude. Thanks to Robert, I passed my road test on the second try. He’s honestly an angel, and I can’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test on the first attempt with help from my instructor, Francis. He's friendly and patient, which were important qualities in an instructor for me because I'm an anxious driver. He never got mad if I made a mistake and I made a lot of them in the beginning. I took 10 lessons and noticed myself improving drastically around the 4th lesson. Towards the end, I felt a lot more comfortable behind the wheel. Our lessons were in English, but he also speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give a big hand to my wonderful coach, Francis, who played an important role in my passing the road test! He was extremely patient! Although I kept repeating some bad driving habits, he never lost his temper and kept rectifying my wrong doings. He also gave me good suggestions and reminders! I am grateful for having him as my coach!

Fantastic experience: Overall a 5-star experience with golden medal driving school --from my communications with the school, to my awesome and ever-so-patient driving instructor Francis. My experience with them was smooth from day 1. The school usually has at least 2 staff receptionists around to help you with answering questions about their packages, to registering with them. After registering with them, they set you up for your pre-licensing class and work with you to schedule your driving classes, as well as your driver's test. They are organised, friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. They can speak both English and Mandarin, which always helps. My driving instructor was Francis. He was always patient and allowed me to feel calm and relaxed whenever I had lessons with him. I had my driver's road test just yesterday at the Kissena Park test site, and I PASSED on my very first try, with FLYING COLOURS! I definitely could not have done it without Francis' guidance and driving tips. He made driving much less daunting, and his car is also very smooth to drive in terms of braking, accelarating and wheel handling. I highly recommend anyone who is wanting to learn to drive to go with Francis (his schedule gets filled up quickly, so better get yourself a spot quickly!!). He can also converse in Mandarin and Cantonese!
