Negative experience: I am a new adult driver from another country, who paid to take a weeks class. 2 days before my class I was contacted by Lauren who told me that the classroom was not necessary to obtain my learners permit, and persuaded me to take one on one classes instead. I had to contact her multiple times to obtain confirmation of any of this in writing. 2 months later I have had a single hour session, during which Lauren informed me that the learners permit test can be taken at home and I can use the drivers manual and as such I didn’t really need lessons. I really feel let down by this company, I am new to the country and told them that I felt more comfortable in a classroom environment and I feel I have been left out to dry after paying $300 for essentially nothing. I’m sure the classroom sessions are fine but I would not recommend this business for any adults looking to obtain lessons for the first time.

Fantastic experience: I'm an adult driver with a license from another country looking to get my US license. Justin has been a great teacher - prompt, clear, concise, practical. Lessons can only be booked a week in advance, but are fairly easy to arrange.

Fantastic experience: I needed a sponsor for my driving test and contacted Grand Prix Driving School for assistance. My first point of contact was remarkable. She provided me with all the details and told me I needed to do a single class so they could assess my driving. This was done and I was recommended for the test. The day of the test I was also given a refresher, and to go over a few stuff. This was very rewarding. I strong recommend new drivers to give Grand Prix a try. You won’t regret it. I have my license.

They don’t have a lot of hours but we called them and asked if they could maybe fit him in and they did. They worked him into the schedule. We appreciate that. The instructor was always on time to pick up my son. We have had a great experience work Grand Prix. We will use again next year when my daughter will be learning.

Positive experience: Both of my kids took drivers ed with Grand Prix and had a great experience and are good drivers. Liam was a huge part of my 2nd kid passing both drivers ed and license test!

Fantastic experience: I believe this is the best Driving School on Cape Cod. The students learn Laws & Rules of The Road along with Safety Skills for good driving for life. Distraction and Road Rage is so prevalent today, students are taught how to avoid this in their car.

Fantastic experience: We have used Grand Prix three times since 2013 and have had a great experience each time. Our youngest son was able to complete his driving hours over two months this summer, and was licensed in September. The one time they had to cancel an appointment, they called us and gave us a new time slot. We found it easy to get the driving times and he was well prepared for the road test!

I took the 5 day summer course in Yarmouth and the teacher was fantastic she gave us all the information that we need and taught it will. Any questions were easily answered. This course helped me property understand the laws of the roads and have prepared me for my permit test.

The extra money to have GPDS sponsor him for the road test was worth every dollar. I am fully confident in my son’s driving thanks to Grand Prix!

Fantastic experience: Our son went through Driver's Ed in a newly post-Covid landscape. He was able to successfully complete the classroom portion online. His driving instructor was excellent and our child was prepared when it came time for the driving test. I highly recommend scheduling the test through Grand Prix with the instructors and vehicles the kids have learned in. We were very happy with our experience.

Negative experience: The lessons themselves were fine but getting the lessons is another story. You guys way overbook and it took my son a full year to get all his lessons which is unacceptable with the amount of money you charge.

Fantastic experience: Great school, they take time to show and teach you how to drive like no other. They care how good of a driver you are, they do everything they can to set you up for success, while most other schools could care less who they pass.

Which I thought she would be because I have also been letting her practice and drive during her permit. That is definitely a suggestion Grandprix makes and I would definitely make. Teach your kids yourself. Let them drive with you when they have their permit. It instills confidence which they need being in a vehicle. Sometimes you can have a kid that drives Great but they have to be aware of other people on the road. Grandprix teaches that also! Haylee had one more hour left before she applied for her test. Negative experience: the state changed the driving test in jan. 2023. the school did not teach in class the backing up into a parking spot they taught parallel parking..test did not have parallel parking on it at all...was only given 20 minutes in the rain to learn backing up move.. did not pass because of this and now has to pay another $200 to take the test in their car..so much for teaching everything in class...just wait til the day of the test to try and teach in the rain right before test.. not a good look

Fantastic experience: The driving instructors are great and it is convenient to schedule driving hours. They are also very helpful if your child takes the driving test with them as well!

Fantastic experience: I highly recomend Grand Prix Driving school. I went there in 1978. My daughter went there in 2009 and now my son is half done with their program. They are courteous and professional and all 3 of us passed our permit test on the 1st try. My daughter and I passed the road test on the 1st try and hopefully my boy will have the same when he takes his road test.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Grand Prix. My 16-year old said that they "made learning how to drive as interesting as it can be". He said the instructors were very helpful and nice. I found that anytime I called with questions, they were happy to help me and gave me the information I needed. I also appreciated the ability to book my child's driving test through them. The whole process was very smooth. I would recommend Grand Prix to anyone who is signing up their child for lessons.

Negative experience: Word of Caution to anyone looking to sign your child up here: the one star reviews are all TRUE. If this driving school spent a fraction of the time they spend responding to Google reviews on actually taking care of their paying customers, they’d be better off. While they argue that they have quality education and instructors, they are severely lacking in providing opportunities for new drivers to get their hours done. I have only been able to get my son 4 hours in FOUR MONTHS. It’s true, every Monday you have to log on and pray that you refresh your screen at the exact moment you need to to get one of the few hours they provide for that week. I have screen recordings of me clicking on hours and confirming appointments and them disappearing. Our Emails and phone calls are often unreturned, which is better than when they answer and are rude and unhelpful. This system clearly isn’t working for families and they just don’t care. Save yourself the frustration. Go someplace else.

Positive experience: The instructors were patient and friendly to my sons. It was worth the extra money to have them take the boys for their license.

Fantastic experience: i got drives done quick and all the instructors were fantastic. it was very easy to learn and i passed the yarmouth test first try which they say is the strictest one so grand prix must be doing something right

Negative experience: I wish that I could give a good review but unfortunately I am unable to at this time. The service by the front office staff needs improvement. The only time I received good service was when I asked for a refund so I could sign my son up for another school. I believe the staff is overwhelmed by the number of kids needing driving hours and is overburdened. We had to change to another driving school because my son was not getting observation and driving hours at all. We were told that he wouldn't be done with his requirements until the Fall. This was well over a year after he took his driving course and 8 months after receiving his permit. At the new driving school he was done with both driving and observation hours within a months time. They need more instructors to meet the needs!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Dave the owner and driving instructor of my daughter. He works with people who have learning differences and the confidence my daughter has shown due to his expertise and knowledge in how to explain in a way that she understands is just astonishing. Working with Sandy in the office has been so helpful and when asked anything she gets the information to you and makes it very clear on what is needed. If you truly want a place where you will learn, then this is the place to go. Dave is wonderful truly. I also did the parent class, and this was very helpful, and I am having them sponsor my daughters driving test which I highly recommend. Cannot say enough good things.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the Grand Prix Driving School. My adult lesson instructor was Liam Kelley and he did nothing but reassure me, whether it was through his words or actions, that it’s okay to make mistakes and it’s okay to try again if you don’t get it right the first time. I also appreciated his communication during the lessons. I was able to schedule my lessons efficiently and usually, relatively quick. I myself suffer from extreme test anxiety regardless how experienced I am in something, and the driving school certainly made it better, even if I was still nervous. I highly recommend the driving school and I very much so recommend Liam. Thanks Liam, you’re awesome!

Negative experience: After 3 weeks of being online waiting to schedule driving time only to see all appointments gone in less than 30 seconds I’m beyond discouraged with not getting a single appointment. I chose Grand Prix because of their good reviews and reputation I’m starting to wonder what’s going on

Negative experience: I agree with the review placed by Kate earlier today. The classroom education part of this was fine and I definitely like supporting a local, family owned business. However, the scheduling of the driving hours online on Monday at 3 o’clock is absolutely, 100% bananas. It is all consuming to me and my family to try to get a driving hour on Mondays (while I’m at work). We set several alarms and use several devices. It is absolutely comical how quickly the driving hours are filled up. By Monday at 3 o’clock and 20 seconds all the hours are gone! That is not an exaggeration. I do not accept that this is the best system to do this. I have other children that need drivers education down the road, I will not be back to Grand Prix. The road lessons themselves are fine. The instructors have been kind. The classroom sessions were also fine. But this scheduling of road hours is unacceptable.

Negative experience: Impossible to get drive times, the system they use for signing up is so stressful and all slots for the week are gone in 20 seconds.

Fantastic experience: I took drivers ed at Grand Prix when I was 16 and had a great experience. Now my daughter is ready to start drivers ed and I'm happy to know she'll get the same great education that I did. To still be in business since 1975 ya know they are doing it right!

Fantastic experience: Three kids down, one to go. Each licensed on first try. Grand Prix has been great through each kids lessons, whether in person, or online. Overhearing the classes online, I found the instructor informative and enjoyable to listen to. I appreciate the different driving instructors influence on the kids' techniques. Best of all is having them sponsor the road test. They schedule it for you as well as have a warm up beforehand. Highly recommend!
