Positive experience: Package lessons expire after 3 month. Be careful to read the their policy before purchase (it's 16th! point in the agreement). They were gracious enough to refund one of the classes.

Negative experience: I don't want to be negative but there are many things that should improve starting with the instructor's treatment when taking the knowledge test because you can't focus because he is bothering every 10 minutes pressuring you that time is almost up and that is considered rude. About the location I must mention that there is a restaurant next door that makes noise and it is annoying not being able to focus because the instructor is very demanding. There's not much wrong with that but it's a negative impact. I would definitely recommend going to other places where kindness is part of professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Great driving academy! Lallu is the best instructor here. He is calm, relaxed and helps you learn in a non-stressful manner. He helped me build my confidence in driving and was very supportive throughout the process.

He took the time to focus on my weak points during each practice session, and his patience made a huge difference in my improvement. The tricks he taught me for maneuvers were spot-on and worked perfectly in every situation. Fantastic experience: I scheduled my lessons well in advance and they cancelled on me within hours of my appointment twice in a row. The first time due to a sickness and the second time for an emergency. The owner followed up with me and was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make things right for me. While the cancellations were understandable, it was very convenient for me. I appreciate the follow up from the business owner, his display of integrity, and how he worked with me to find a solution. I’m looking forward to my lessons and definitely a small business to support

Fantastic experience: Was a completely new adult driver with 0 experience. Had multiple sessions with Miss Carr who was an amazing and patient teacher (with many great tips for every driving skill you'd ever need to know)! I passed my driving test on my first try because of the practice I had with her, would definitely recommend her for those who are starting from scratch or need some insight on how to improve their driving.

Was patient instructor and offered a very good learning experience. I went from not knowing how to drive to confidently passing the road test in 6 lessons.

Fantastic experience: I took driving classes with Dino to prepare for my driving license test, and he was a great instructor! Dino made difficult maneuvers like parallel parking or backing around the curb so easy to understand and execute, and he also helped me to feel comfortable and confident on the road! Needless to say, I passed the driving test with an almost-perfect score! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Did my practice with instructor Dino. He was really calm and clear with his instructions. Made me very comfortable with driving. He paid attention to my weak spots and helped me improve step by step. He is a fun instructor to drive with. I highly recommend him. On a side note -- I had some hiccup with instructor Carr. However, the management team resolved this promptly and helped me switch to Dino again. I had a good experience after that.

Fantastic experience: John is one of the best instructors and examiners in my opinion. He’s very calm and experienced and made sure that I don’t get nervous while driving for the driving test. I had a pre-test and a driving test scheduled with him. Everybody even at the office was super welcoming and I knew I was in good hands. Hands down, if you’re taking a driving test here, I would recommend John as an examiner, he’s awesome!

Fantastic experience: Great place with even better instructors! I was always an extremely anxious driver, and after moving to Seattle, I couldn't even imagine myself behind the wheel. It took me quite some time to feel comfortable on the roads, so I booked a lot of lessons and practiced with Miss Carr and John T. Both of them are excellent at giving essential tips for becoming a good and cautious driver and passing your test. I am really grateful for their help! Also, I want to note the website, which I found very user-friendly and helpful for scheduling lessons. I've tried other schools in Seattle, and in my humble opinion, this is the best one! Overall, it was worth every penny, and I totally recommend SDA for anyone who feels stressed out while driving.

Fantastic experience: Went to their class today and learned a lot of things even though I’ve been driving for more than 10 years. I had to renew my license recently and because of Lallu A and his great way of teaching and helping others understand the way of the road and driving safely, I aced my test today with 100%. I’m still yet to do my drive test, but everything was very friendly and sincere and I could tell that they all very much take their job seriously and enjoy what they do teaching people to be safe and understand the laws of the road. I highly recommend Seattle driving Academy to anybody looking to get a good understanding of driving and want to pass their tests.

Fantastic experience: Great establishment. Did a walk in permit test then scheduled driving test after with no hassle or headaches. Lallu- the instructor had a very calming presence and explained at the end reasons for his scoring. He was honest and fair. All around wonderful experience for something that is usually a pain to deal with.

Fantastic experience: The place is so nice and clean. I was half an hour early and the staffs are so nice they ask me do I need some water. I didn’t take any class here. I just came to took the driving test. There is not lots of traffic around here and not many stop sign. The best place to take a test. Thanks to John.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved from the UK to Seattle. Despite having many years of driving experience in the UK, an 18-year no-claims bonus, and a clean driving record, I was still nervous about my driving test. After practicing with Lallu for about an hour, I regained my confidence. With the points he highlighted and his guidance, I managed to pass the test on my first try. I cannot recommend Seattle Academy enough if you are an expat in need of getting your Washington driver's license.

Fantastic experience: If you are coming from outside of US with driving experience but not acclimatised to US driving , just take help of instructor Mr.Lallu. He is very good in making you understand the rules and regulations. Don’t forget to take the warmup session before the actual test. It helps a lot.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience taking behind the wheel lessons at Seattle Driving Academy from Lallu. He is an experienced instructor and very good at logically explaining the do's and don'ts of driving. I would definitely recommend them. I took my test as well with him, that experience was also pretty good.

Fantastic experience: An absolute pleasure to take driving lessons with Sara Carr. She was excellent as a teacher and taught me to ace the test with about five lessons behind the wheel. Definitely recommend her. I would also note though, the customer service agent I spoke with when calling the office’s number (not the kind lady at the physical front desk) was troublesome. Multiple times I tried scheduling appointments and I was met with passive aggressive comments and ridiculous statements about false cancellations, and how I was liable to paying full fee’s for failing to be at the location on time (which wasn’t the case). Sara was such a great teacher, she definitely made up for the experience I had over the phone, but would highly recommend trying to get in contact with the office physically, instead of through whoever answers the phone.

Negative experience: The lady at the front desk was really nice and welcoming but the driver instructor was rude and was already mad when we came in even thought we came in on time.

Negative experience: I rarely write negative reviews but I think I should be honest about this one. The process went smoothly overall, but I have a suggestion for improvement. A friend recently had to retake the test, and we were surprised to find out it would expire within a month without any notification, whether written or verbal. To make things better for others, it'd be helpful to give folks a heads-up about this one-month deadline for retaking the test. That way, they can plan ahead and avoid any confusion. Responding back to the administrator: I am lodging this complaint on behalf of my friend, who faces language barriers. I suggest you refer to the posted receipt notification as a reminder of our visit. I assisted my friend in finding your center and throughout the registration process. I was present there with my friend. "You always tell customers" - As we were leaving, you barely acknowledged us, let alone reminded us about important information. Furthermore, yesterday I called your center when I addressed the issue with you, your representative merely offered an apology or any solutions, agreeing that you should have provided a receipt notice or set a reminder after retaking the exam. It seems this level of incompetence is standard practice for your establishment. Instead of resorting to unprofessional behavior and snapping at customers, it would be more appropriate for you to assume responsibility for your actions. Not everyone has the time to sift through your lengthy terms and conditions, you guys know it very well. No thanks necessary. Frankly, I wouldn’t visit your establishment again even if it were free. It's not about the $40, but about how you treat people. I have zero tolerance for such behavior. Goodbye, and I hope you work on improving your professionalism. Even though I doubt that. PS: Just so you know, your "didn't visit" trick won't work to get my review deleted from Google Maps.

Fantastic experience: I had a great learning experience with Ben E as he was very empathetic, patient and soft spoken while teaching. It helped me gain confidence and understand different rules. I strongly recommend him to everyone. One more point that I also took classes with other instructor Sarah, but her teaching style did not match my expectations. However, I switched to Ben E after that and was able to successfully learn and pass the driving test!

Negative experience: I had the driving test today. The receptionist was very nice. Now the issue is: The tester told me a couple info at the beginning to help me and that was nice. I’m originally a good driver and doing this test is to take the license here. He did mention he would trick me. Not sure why a driving test would be based on tricking a driver anyway. The car is hatchback and mine is sedan and so the dimensions are different and so by reversing to turn right, I went over a foot backwards. Steering wheel is high that the speed won’t show to the driver seat. I told him but he never helped and so I had to literally move up with my body to see the speed compared to how I should be driving. So, I once drove on 15mph when I had to drive on 20, and another time I drove up to 35 when speed limit was 25, and all I had to rely on was my own sense!! The test area is not lined I turned left to a street that is not lined and so was driving in the middle. A car came towards me so I took my right and mentioned the lining so he said it’s not needed I never saw any stop sign except a few, totally different than Seattle, real Seattle, where we have more stop signs in residential areas. I once slowed down to turn right so he took a point down for that! When we finished, he said if I had taken the driving lesson with them I wouldn’t have failed!!! I FAILED! That’s just a scam, you either get your lesson there or you will get tricked to fail!! And he wanted me to go back to the office to schedule another appointment Conclusion: With their high review, the trick is to either take lessons with them or you’re out! You decide!!

Fantastic experience: Eddy C really helped me with my driver's permit by testing out my knowledge and giving me a good manual to study from. Wafi is an excellent driving instructor, super professional, his direct approach/method helped me retain information faster, gave me confidence in my ability and assisted in perfecting my driving skills. I had never driven before I started my lessons, but I was given the chance to operate a vehicle on the road from the very first lesson. Eddy was extremely patient when I made mistakes and thorough in explaining how I could improve for next time. I can't recommend Eddy enough. I also took my permit test at SDA, and it was a painless process. **Eddy, I bought a brand new Honda Civic, and I have been safely driving it since September thanks to everything I learned from you! If you see a white sedan with black accessories on the street, it's likely me! Thank you!**

Fantastic experience: I never thought that taking the driving test again could be such a great and educational experience. I think even people who have been driving for years should book a refresher class with this guys. Luel and Lallu are super kind. I took the warming up session and the test with Lallu. He made me feel relaxed and provided very useful tips that I'm actually planning on incorporating on my daily driving. If you are coming from abroad and have a license, I highly recommend taking a lesson or two with him before the test. Not only you'll have fun you'll actually become a better driver.

Fantastic experience: They helped me to help myself that is to get to through those doors that your drivers license will open up just do your part and study

Fantastic experience: I would have given it a 4.5 if there was an option. Took classes with Ben and Eddy and the test with Lallu. I had a great first lesson with Ben, I was having trouble driving to the side of the road and stopping in the first test and he made me do it many times to nail it. The other lesson with him went great too. The lesson with Eddy got off to a rocky start as he was very impatient even though we were never in any kind of danger because I had a tendency to slow down (hence the 4.5). After the initial hiccup with Eddy, things got better and he helped me get a good sense of general driving along with the maneuvers. Lallu is very clear in his instructions and gives great practical tips. I would recommend doing the warmup + test. I also appreciated the pickup and drop-off service at a reasonable price and better lesson availability than other driving schools. A very good experience overall.

I had little to no driving experience before joining the classes but both Teo and Lallu have been excellent in assessing my strengths and opportunities and taught me some great techniques to improve my driving skills. They were very patient and understanding through out the classes and always emphasised on importance of safety. Highly recommending this place.

Negative experience: To expensive and will fail you to get more money

Fantastic experience: At Seattle Driving Academy, I had the pleasure of working with Lallu as my driving instructor. He was always patient and encouraging. He never made me feel rushed or stressed, even when I was making mistakes. He was always quick to point out my errors and offer constructive feedback. He also took the time to explain the reasons behind his feedback, so that I could understand how to improve my driving.

Fantastic experience: My husband and i are in our late 30s and haven't had or needed a driver's license in 20+ years. We recently needed to be able to drive, so we both each got three hours' worth of lessons as well as the test administration and everything went great. Very satisfied with the service/lessons/test administration we got from this place. Eddy was extremely kind and professional, easygoing calm manner during all my time with him, and the cars were clean. I was a little nervous about driving after such a long period of not driving, but Eddy put me at ease with driving, and i passed my driving test the first time around with a fairly high score; now i have my license, and my spouse and i drive around just about every weekend. Thanks to Seattle Driving Academy for enabling us to learn how to drive again and be successful.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a wonderful experience at this driving school. The instructors were extremely patient and offered valuable tips to enhance my learning process. Booking a 3-hour driving class was a breeze, and the pick-up and drop-off service was convenient. I was able to schedule my classes within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 2 weeks. My instructor, Julio, was fantastic. He was exceptionally patient and even provided handwritten instructions to aid in my understanding. When it came time for the pre-test and driving test, I worked with Lalu. He was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in covering all the necessary skills to pass the test. He also provided essential pointers and ensured that I was well-prepared. Lalu's kindness and consideration were evident throughout, and he made sure I successfully passed the test. I particularly appreciate his advice to get my license on the same day given my knowledge test was expiring the next day. Overall, the staff at this driving school is exceptional, and I highly recommend them. As someone who had previously attended defensive driving school, I found it to be highly overrated. Most of the instructors there either lacked the passion to teach or focused more on theory knowledge instead of practical practice and learning. In contrast, this driving school stands out as a superior choice.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience doing the 30 min pre-test and skills test with Lallu. He gave me lots of useful tips to help pass the test, and was a friendly and knowledgeable teacher. Also did the walk-in knowledge test here which was seamless. Overall, highly recommended if you’re an adult driver who’s just immigrated to the US and needs to get a license.

Fantastic experience: Seattle Driving Academy is a great place to take lessons to drive in the US. I have been taking classes with Ben and cannot recommend him enough. He puts you at ease from the first class itself and builds your confidence. When you do something right, he gives positive feedback that makes you feel you are learning and improving. He is patient and clear in his instructions. He is open to listen, and clears all your doubts and provide answers and guidance. He makes you practice a move multiple times till you get it and is very patient with you, and encouraging until you get it. I feel confident that with him as the instructor, I should be able to learn driving in the US and get the license.

Fantastic experience: Very nice instructors, make it easy to learn driving

Positive experience: Since I didn't see any reviews mentioning Eddy yet, here's one. I recently took my skill test with Eddy, and he is a knowledgeable, clear, patient, kind, reality-respecting instructor/examiner. I took a few lessons here too, and that all met expectations. The online booking platform works well, just remember the 48-hour cancelation rule.

Negative experience: Lolla was really impatient and rude. Horrible experience.

Positive experience: I trained initially with John who did not coach properly. I had booked two 90 minute sessions with pick up/dropoff ($290) and he spent only 60 minutes on the first session when I had to go the center in person. 15 minutes out of those 60 was him driving and asking me to watch. Overall not a great experience with him and not worth the $ spent. However, I booked with the owner (Mr. Lallu) next and he was very kind and trained really well. I did not regret failing the 1st driving test under him as it was for the right reasons and he coached me well on the mistakes I was making in the follow-up.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Seattle Driving Academy for your driving lessons and testing needs. I needed my license really quick for travel and Lallu helped me get through the entire process (knowledge test, permit, lessons, and road test) in just 2 weeks. Lallu also helped me with scheduling and added slots to his (already booked) calendar to accommodate my short timeline.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a DOL knowledge test a couple of weeks in advance and they cancelled it the night before. Rescheduling proved to be too difficult and they would not refund my money. Beware! UPDATE after response from owner: YOU were the one who cancelled my appointment, you called me at work the night before and told me you had a staffing issue. Why you have no record of that is ENTIRELY ON YOU. The rest of your "explanation" is confusing and pointless. If you want to make this right, give me back my money, period.
