Fantastic experience: 5hour online course was great. Angel kept the class alive with his positive vibes, upbeat sense of humor, and related personal experiences that kept the whole class wondering what he was going to say happened next. He genuinely cares about his students and makes himself available for any questions whenever you need. The class was very interactive, his stories and tips gave you ways to remember certain materials, and his teaching style made the zoom class literally zoom. There was not one dull moment. Driving over 25years and I still learned a few new things. If you need to take the 5hour class, this is the one to take. Thank you Angel!

Fantastic experience: My experience with this driving school was more than amazing. The instructor was very helpful, the staff was very kind and funny, and angel was more than a pleasure. Not only did he make my 5 hour class informative and interesting but he was encouraging and kindhearted as I went to take my road test. Fantastic experience: I passed my road test two days ago on my first try, thanks to the instructors here. I genuinely did enjoy my experience here, I had lessons with both Angel, and James. Angel was always patient which I appreciated, because I get anxious frequently. but also don’t get me wrong, he was disciplinary when he needed to be. Which helped me straight myself out and get better. If you get nervous easily like me, I recommend scheduling with both James and Angel so you get used to not just driving with one person, so when you take your road test, whoever is scoring you, don’t make your nerves get the best of you. James as well was a very honest and kind person to ride with, he keeps it real and genuinely does want you to progress, and gives great advice. Schedule ur lessons and get your license! It is worth it :)

Negative experience: Horrible secretary doesnt know what shes doing. Never had any times available for lessons. Didn't even get my last lesson. Made me miss my test bc they(secretary) couldnt communicate clearly. Literally had to call them like 40 billion times just to get my test scheduled bc they never called me back about it. Regret wasting my money. Do not come here if you wanna learn how to drive. The cars stink and they barley work.

As a first-time driver, I was initially uncomfortable with operating a car, but taking lessons with James helped me get used to steering and parking. He is very nice and helped me pass the road test on my first try.

Negative experience: TL;DR: super unprofessional and disorganized driving school I don’t normally leave negative reviews for small local businesses, but I feel potential customers should be aware of my experiences with One Way Driving. I purchased a $200 highway lesson online, then a $150 three lesson package over the phone. I was placed on hold for almost twenty minutes during the first phone call, and the overall booking experience seemed inefficient/antiquated. Once lessons began, many of them were rescheduled last minute (once due to illness, which is fine)—but I regularly would get a call 15-20 minutes before the scheduled time asking to reschedule the lesson for later that day or another day entirely. Once or twice I understand because life is unpredictable, but this was nearly every lesson and on some rescheduled days as well. The lessons themselves were okay. I am a licensed driver and wanted refresher time on the road as it had been a while since I last drove, but felt that this status de-prioritized me in favor of other students leading to the last minute rescheduling requests. Angel is an old school, moody instructor that can be friendly at times and quite harsh other times. He did make a couple of comments about women that made me uncomfortable as well. Being born and raised in NYC I’m familiar with this old school way of teaching, but it’s not my preference. I didn’t feel like I learned much in our lessons. The highway lesson in particular was asked to be rescheduled multiple times, sometimes last minute. After a few reschedules, I asked for a refund since I was approaching a personal deadline. I was informed that only Angel (the owner/main driving instructor) could issue a refund. However, his office hours are very unpredictable, so I could not visit in-person to collect the refund without an appointed time. Instead, I was forced to follow up via call and email for weeks and was not given a time estimate, nor a specific date to pick up the $200 refund check. Nearly a month after my initial refund request, and many unhelpful calls to the office later, I was finally told by one of the secretaries to come on a certain date but with no specific time. I showed up promptly upon opening, and was told by Angel (who was 20 minutes late to opening and another lesson) to come back a few hours later that day. After being questioned on whether the amount of my refund was legit, I was able to show my receipts and receive my refund. I do not believe that the owner of this business is scamming individuals or intentionally trying to create a frustrating experience. However, the experiences I had with One Way Driving were highly unprofessional and disorganized and need to be noted. The owner/main driving instructor Angel is stretching himself very thin so is unable to fulfill all of his commitments, and students like myself can fall to the wayside. I hope the owner of the school is able to find and accept additional help in the school ASAP, as he clearly cannot handle it all. If you are looking for a good driving school in the area, I recommend San Juan Driving School instead.

Negative experience: I went there today and it was closed, here says it’s open but I went and it was difficult to spot, and they don’t even put their schedule outside of the building or something, so I don’t know what time they open or what time they close you have to guess that

Fantastic experience: Would like to start this review off with the fact that I passed my road exam the first time, practically perfectly. I had the experience of driving with both James and Angel. James however was the person I would practice driving with the most often. Everyone at the school is very kind and respectful and they all help prepare you for the best. Best of luck to everyone who will be taking their exam soon. You’ll be able to do it thanks to them!!

Negative experience: They never pick up the phone. I was trying to contact from last 4-5 days. I went to the office couple of days. I was trying because the school is in same block i live. The door from both side was closed. I knocked so many times. Nobody answered. So unprofessional.

I learned a lot at this school, even more than I did at difficult schools I went to in the past. If you want to pass your driving test, you should take classes with Angel.

Fantastic experience: Great experience going to “one way driving” Very pleasant staff esp Angel who never give up on his students. Very encouraging, and motivated. He’s phenomenal! I didn’t pass after couple try, but he is bent on making it successful! Nothing like feeling comfortable where you have to learn and achieve something, and “one way driving” is the place to go!

Negative experience: Paid for 4 lessons with angel. He was late 3 times. One time he forgot he had an appointment and after 20 minutes the lesson was over. On the day of the road test he was late nearly one hour because he overslept (yeah really). During the lessons he was on his phone mostly talking to people I understand these driving schools are businesses and they don’t really want you to pass. They want you to pay for more “lessons”. In the end of the day it’s my fault that I’ve failed. Also it’s my fault that I trusted and paid him. Won’t happen again. I feel robbed and cheated. Next step: better business bureau. 10/11/2022

Negative experience: I took lessons with Angel the owner, Jeremy, Walter and Ralph. I would say each instructor was inadequate in different ways. Angel may have a lot of experience and knowledge but he lacks patience and gets easily frustrated with you when you don't get things right. Jeremy, Walter and Ralph are all young guys seem really friendly at first but that changes real fast once you make mistakes. I was a new driver, never drove before I had no experience. And I explained this to them when I started to all them when they were my instructor. There would be times when they took at their phones when we are driving. That is very unprofessional and dangerous. I was a new driver and its their job to have eyes on the road as well in case I made a mistake or missed something. If braked too soon or too late I would get comments such as "bro what are doing?!". Their ability to teach is lacking all they did was tell me what to do never explaining how to do it. I paid for ten lessons with them and took five of those with them before asking for a refund for the other five. They did give me the refund for the other five lessons. Angel the owner even offered to give the other five lessons for free for me but after those previous negative experiences I thought it was just best to move on.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at One Way Driving, the school was recommended to me by my sister and I can honestly say that this was the first place I went to that actually helped me. Angel made it seem so easy and he always answered all my questions, he was extremely patient, always very professional, he took the time to explain things. He always gave me tips on how I can improve my driving, I always felt save and confident during my lessons. I learned a lot from One Way Driving and Angel. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. I passed my road test with flying colors!! All the driving instructors are friendly, professional and very helpful.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars just for that old grumpy Angel’s behavior. His name is Angel but actually a devil. I have taken classes with Walter and Jeremiah, they both are very nice, friendly and makes you comfortable. But Angel has lots of ego and attitude. He doesn’t teach you anything and expects you to know everything on your first class. And also the most disgusting behavior please ladies be careful with this old man. He’s 65+ and flirting with young girls in a nasty way possible. I wasn’t comfortable with him at all so I changed my instructor after second class. I had him again on my last lesson because Walter wasn’t available and I had my road test right after my lesson. You guys, he demotivated me so much and passed on some nasty comments. I still can’t believe this type of people exist in this world, never came across such filthy behavior person. So, in conclusion even if you choose this school please don’t choose Angel as your instructor he will ruin your life. He should just retire and sit at home.

Negative experience: Angel only cares about your money. He doesn’t care about teaching you valuable driving lessons. During the lessons, he is always on his phone. He is just old and grumpy and should honestly just retire and hire someone without anger issues. I have heard of costumers that changed instructor because they couldn’t deal with Angel’s screaming and impatience. One time he told me I would probably crash if he wasn’t there. Like who in their right mind says that to someone who’s learning to drive. Another time as I was arriving for my lesson, he pulled his card window up so I wouldn’t notice him. If you are really considering taking lessons at this location, take your lessons with the lovely Erika, or with Justin and avoid crooked Angel at all costs!

Fantastic experience: So this review is long overdue. I will quickly tell you about my bad experiences with other schools. I’ve spent lots of money and time and didn’t feel comfortable and confident with any of them. When I took the first driving class with Angel, I knew I would learn well with one way driving. I will tell you that I’m a nervous person and lacked confidence. I took first 20 lessons cause I needed to learn from scratch. Then I took 10 more classes because I knew I needed more time. I passed the test with no points. Thank you Angel, Jeremy and One way Driving school. They were professional and very compassionate individuals.

Fantastic experience: One year ago I took 10 classes at this driving school, I had lessons with three instructors: Ralph, Jeremy and Angel. When I drive now my car, I remember many rules I was taught at this driving school. Sometimes I was angry with them and wanted to tell them something, but I was quite and tried to follow what they are saying to me, now I drive my car with no fear, and I passed the test with no problems.

Fantastic experience: If you want to pass your drivers test the first time, look no further. These people know what they’re doing. They’re honest, caring, and patient. I signed me and my ex up for driving lessons here and we both passed on the first try. It took me a while to get it done because I ended up in the hospital with a few health complications. Angel and Crystal called me while I was hospitalized to make sure I was gonna be okay. I really appreciated that. They found out through my ex who, unfortunately, had to take their test without me but THEY PASSED!! & so did I two months later. God bless you guys, you’re the best!

I paid for 6 lessons and was able to pass my driving exam without much stress. The best part about this school is that want to make sure that their students know what they are doing and that their money is being put to good use. They are honest and will let you know if you need more lessons or if you are all set to go. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning here from Angel and Ralph. They each have their own style, and both are amazing. 1) I had no prior experience and no car, so I ended up taking over 20 lessons. Ralph and Angel are great teachers. I think a student can pass the road test with less lessons if he/she has a car to practice with. 2) Ralph is a friendly instructor, and gives a stern vibe when teaching. Angel is like the funny uncle. He gives you proper instructions but also jokes around with you. 3) Special thanks to Angel, for helping me with my nervousness the last couple lessons before my road test. I didnt understand his method until he explained to me, but I realized it did help. He would turn up the radio, give me last minute instructions/directions, and rush me to react quicker. It distracted me and made me nervous the first couple of times, but I eventually got used to it. I'm usually a lot more nervous during a test, but it didn't feel so bad after going through that. And I passed =) 4) I think both instructors taught me well to become a driver, and not just to pass the road test. Each instructor has a car. Learning with different vehicles helped me learn how adapt. I feel that I learned how to drive, and didn't just learn the car. Overall, I highly recommend this driving school. Wish all student drivers luck on the road.

Fantastic experience: I was on a tight schedule, but they were very accommodating, and I passed the driving test on my first try after six lessons. I also appreciate that they call you to remind you of your lessons. Would definitely recommend this place

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. Unless you’re one of the type to entertain older men hitting on you, you will have an unpleasant experience. If you have any respect for yourself you’ll definitely be offered minimal help and attitudes. It’s very evident who they favor and will not help you at all if you’re not ok with their flirtations. The women in the office are clueless. Save your time and money.

Fantastic experience: It is amazing place!!!! People are so polite and kind there. Girls are so nice, they always call you in advance to remind you about classes and help with all questions that you have. My story is little bit crazy, bc I decided to move to California and I needed to get my driver license as soon as possible, we are talking about 10 days :))) I found that school and honestly I wasn’t sure that I could do it ..First person that I met there was Angel, and he really is an Angel...Kind man with a blue eyes and with a loooot of patience. I know it was super hard to teach me, I was scared of everything, I was afraid to be in the car, to turn the wheel, to drive, to breathe, to do anything when I saw the road. I took 15 lessons and I passed the test!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can’t believe that I did it. I did’t have any experience, no car, nobody was teached me before and I’m Russian, sometimes it was hard to understand what they were telling me too :)) Ralph is another great teacher, I asked him to explain me things 10000000 times and every time when he did it, he was calm and positive and never, they never told me something unpleasant. They just supported and believed in me and did everything to teach to drive. My friends told me that it is impossible, everybody told me that I’m just spending money and time, but not them! They are like two superheroes !!! They were always with me. And it is not just to get a license, they are teaching you how to be a good driver, how to be safe and how not to hurt anybody .. I have no words to say how happy and thankful I am. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! Thank you very much!!! Love you from all my heart!!!!

Fantastic experience: After failing my first road test , I had to change my instructor so I gave Angel a try! Today I passed the road test, and that is because he made sure to teach me all that he could so I pass. Not only that, but he also made me more confident behind the wheel.
