Established in 2009, Enhanced Driving Institute (EDI) is an award-winning, WI-DOT accredited driving school proudly serving the Coulee Region of Wisconsin, including Onalaska, Holmen, La Crosse, and surrounding areas. Recognized as the "Best of La Crosse" driving school for multiple consecutive years and holding the highest reviews on Google, EDI goes far beyond standard state requirements to produce safe, aware, and proficient drivers.

Founded by Adam Newbloom, a former law enforcement officer and MBA holder, EDI combines real-world expertise with patient, engaging instruction. The institute offers comprehensive programs tailored for both teens and adults, ensuring every learner receives personalized support. Their curriculum focuses not just on passing tests, but on building mental readiness, enhanced observation skills, and confidence to handle real-world challenges like panic or loss of control.

EDI provides flexible learning options to suit any schedule. Choose from structured In-Class Courses for those who thrive in social, group settings, or the innovative Self-Guided Online Program. The online option is instructor-led by the founder himself, featuring engaging video lessons, confidence-building quizzes, and the convenience of learning at your own pace from home—with options to complete it in as little as 10 days. For adults, EDI offers judgment-free training and supportive road practice to help you regain confidence behind the wheel.

Beyond core education, EDI specializes in niche courses that set them apart, including Master Winter Driving for navigating snow and ice, and a Parent Driving Instruction course designed to help guardians coach their teens safely from the passenger seat. They also offer Make-Up Options for teens needing additional behind-the-wheel hours and Permit Prep Courses to reduce test anxiety. Whether you are a first-time learner or returning to driving after a break, EDI’s bonding and licensing ensure you are in expert hands. Join the thousands of students who trust EDI to build the next generation of safe drivers.

Fantastic experience: I was a little hesitant to sign my son up for online driver's education but in-person did not work with our family's schedule. Not only did he complete the course, he was actively engaged and completed it sooner than we predicted. I am very pleased with EDI.

Positive experience: The videos contained thorough information about driving rules and the responsibility of driving. I appreciated the lessons about distracted driving - good review for parents. The instructor was easy to listen to, as well.

Fantastic experience: The student course is VERY thorough. It has been many years since I went through Driver's Education. The instructor was engaging and I love the incorporation of so many videos to bring lessons to life. As a former law enforcement officer, I was especially grateful for the videos that drew much-needed attention to the dangers of distracted driving. My son was riveted to the lessons and that speaks volumes to me. The parents' course was REALLY helpful. I have never taught anyone how to drive before so I genuinely appreciate the help.

Fantastic experience: Julie is literally the best! So accommodating and helpful. She makes the drives fun, but she is also very professional, and knowledgeable. Julie teaches/reviews by using little songs. It really helped my son! He was so nervous and her demeanor calmed him down immediately. He was dreading driving, but now is excited for his next drive with Julie. THANKS JULIE! You are literally the BEST!

Fantastic experience: For a subject that I was not that familiar with, I felt that I was able to learn quite a bit and it has raised my confidence moving forward. It is a very detailed course with lots of useful information.
