Fantastic experience: Best driving school in New Jersey. My instructor was Tony. He is so nice calm patient and very good to teach. I had refreshing class with him before road test but I have no idea of parallel parking he make me to pass the test in the first try. The office staff is perfect too. I was disappointed with other driving school and cancel the appointment but they find a way to keep my road test on the day that I appointed and send the the best instructor. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Kat was my daughter’s instructor and she felt really comfortable with her! Kat was always on time. She took my daughter on all sorts of different roads. My daughter really took the tips she gave her and applies them always. We will be using Kat an hour before her driving road test for added instruction!

Fantastic experience: It took 1 visit to the office and HDS set up the rest. The wait for driver training was a few months but went well. HDS set up the test appt at the DMV. Overall a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Am 61years old and wanted to learn to drive, so i got in touch with the Howell driving school. The lady that i talked to was very nice to me. We talked about what i wanted to do, after which she told me the name of the person who would be at my house to pick me up on the day in question. His name is Carl. I think he's the best person to teach anyone to drive. He's so patient and know how to get you to be calm and relaxed. Well the whole thing is because of him and his patience with me i got my drivers license. I would recommend anyone who wants to learn to drive just going touch with the Howell driving school and ask for Carl. That's my view.

Positive experience: Knowledgeable, patient, and overall amazing instructors and staff, however the office opening at 2pm is very inconvenient. I woke up feeling sick the day of my second lesson (today, as of writing) and was unable to reschedule because the office was still closed, and therefore unavailable for calls. In the end, I ended up doing my 2 hour lesson anyway despite not feeling my best. My instructor Kat was very understanding and helpful, but since I wasn't feeling well, I don't think I fully absorbed the lesson. I definitely recommend this school for first-time drivers of any age, but make absolutely sure you pick a time when the office is open while scheduling your lesson so you can reschedule or cancel, if need be.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Howell Driving School for our daughter. The staff was very friendly and efficient when scheduling our daughter for her driving lessons. The instructors were great and arrived on time to take her for lessons and did a great job teaching her to drive. When the DMV location she was scheduled to take her road test at closed down suddenly due to Covid, they quickly got her test moved to another location for the same day which we greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend them and we are in the process of using them again for our second daughter.

Fantastic experience: My daughter’s school does not offer driver’s Ed so we relied on HDS for the entire licensing process. The staff was very helpful and explained the process from initial permit to license processing thoroughly. They scheduled her road test a year in advance of her 17th birthday which turned out to be a blessing because we were coming out of quarantine on her 17th birthday and DMV appointment wait times were weeks long. The instructors were punctual with pick up and drop off. The cost was competitive with other driving schools in the area. I would strongly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: We used Howell Driving School for my 16 year old son's driving lessons. First of all, Chanelle at the front desk is very professional and helpful. She is very knowledgeable and walks you through the process including my son taking his repeat written driving exam in the office and scheduling his lessons and driving exam with the DMV. She also scheduled all of his lessons with the same instructor Don which was helpful. Don did all 6 hours of behind the wheel with my son and he was excellent. Patient and knowledgeable and also explained to me the process after his lessons were concluded. We are hoping to schedule his refresher lessons with Don. I highly recommend this driving school they were excellent all around and picked up my son at our home for all lessons.

Fantastic experience: We use this driving school for both of our children. They did an excellent job. Currently it was complicated because it was in the middle of the pandemic. They were very clean and took every precaution. Their teachers are excellent. The vehicles are spotless and we’re looking forward to our second son I’m passing this test in June! Although they are in Howell we are in Manalapan and that was it no way an issue. I highly recommend the driving school!

Fantastic experience: School was great used them for my daughters 6 hours and they took her to test and last minute practice before. She passed 100%. Worth the money! They were always early for pick up and she felt very comfortable driving with them and was more confident in driving after lessons. Negative experience: Suck bad!!! Daughter can’t drive! Can’t make turns properly, can’t park, don’t even know how to merge onto on coming traffic! Taught her nothing! Waste of my money

Fantastic experience: My son took his driving lessons through Howell Driving School. He was nervous, because he had very little experience behind the wheel before meeting his instructor. They hit it off immediately, and his instructor had him feeling at ease, and helped him get confident with his driving right away. The office was clean, and the staff was extremely professional and friendly. They're prices were in line with everyone else in the area. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Both of my daughters used Howell driving school for their 6 hours and the refresher course before their road tests. One also took her written test there since she turned 16 before she had drivers ed at school. They made the process very easy and both Richard and Tony were great instructors. They accept competitor coupons so be sure to look for one.

Fantastic experience: The driving instructors, are all nice, understanding of my first time learning to drive. They where able to provide a lot of anwsers to my questions. They gave me clear instruction and procedures on how to prefer specific techniques, that i would need on the road.
