Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as pleasant as it seems it was with others who have reviewed. About two months ago, I had only two driving lessons left. I couldn’t make it to one of my appointments over the weekend, and despite texting them that morning I wouldn’t be able to make it, they still counted it as a lesson. I was told I have to talk to a supervisor by the start of the week, but when I tried calling I would just be on hold for too long. I would call around 11 in the morning since that’s when I have a little free time before work. I tried calling for the rest of the week and gave up after the horrible wait times. Never got a refund so they kept my money and my pre-licensing course. Drivers were always great, though. Would not recommend to family and friends!

Fantastic experience: An excellent driving school with very cool staff especially Annie who is and always fantabulous all day.

Negative experience: To begin with, the instructor I had Felix wasn’t a fit for me at all. Constantly on his phone texting and not paying attention and when he was hostile/backhanded comments were thrown my way. In turn, creating a tense atmosphere each lesson. Likewise, he lacked patience and professionalism. The ultimate show of this was during my final lessons instead of showcasing some type of encouragement he constantly insisted on my failure when I was to take the test in the near future. Thankfully, I didn’t listen to said advice and went ahead and took the test and in an actual relaxing environment with my examiner I was able to pass on the first try. Although my experience with my instructor was dreadful the office workers and front desk ladies were extremely helpful. In that of scheduling and making sure I knew all the necessary steps for the course.

Fantastic experience: Great Driving school ! Staff goes above and beyond to provide you with excellent service . Driving instructors are very out going and have a lot of patience when teaching which I love ! In my situation the front desk staff Annie was such a great help with me and always followed up with any inquiries I had. Communication is always key! This school is 10/10 and willing to accommodate students to meet their needs. School is very flexible with scheduling and the staff reliable; always on time for lessons and road test. Which is great because I feel I received full support and made my experience great! Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Driving instructor was texting every class, not paying attention or giving any useful tips. They constantly told me to use my hazards when parallel parking, to speed up at every yellow light, and at the end of every class all I was told was “you did good today” even on days I could recognize my performance not being good. They’d rather make you feel comfortable in their classes than smart to have your license. There’s too many drivings school in NYC to settle, please consider a place where they offer good advice, let alone correct advice.

After completing the 3 course training I was completely knowledgeable and confident in conducting a full pre-trip inspection and operating a full size school bus. I passed on my first road test! My instructor was great and provided me with everything I needed to know to be a safe and efficient cdl driver. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: This school needs more than 5 Stars, they are the best and it’s even an understatement. I made the biggest mistake in my life by enrolling in a CDL school which wasn’t up to the task. I failed my road test and decided to enroll with CROSSWAY DRIVING SCHOOL cos I’ve seen how the instructor of that school teaches the students. He’s called Jose, he’s the best CDL instructor, he makes sure you get the theory side of driving and maneuvers and the practical side. CROSSWAY Customer service was the best experience I’ve ever had. The ladies are very professional and know what they about. Long story short I passed my cdl class A thanks to JOSE and the customer service ladies. Guys go there and pass your cdl on the first trail.

Fantastic experience: In the beginning it was a bit rocky however as Jose was appointed as my instructor everything changed, I even stop watching Youtube videos cus it was no longer needed, you cannot be trained by Jose and not pass your CDL because he teaches in a methodical way, a step by step process of doing the off sets and parallel parking, it’s like magic when you follow these easy steps. Jose is a Maverick, A Maestro the best. My first CDL skill test the first one I passed that’s the proof

I went to another school in the Bronx and I just ended up wasting a lot of money until someone recommended Cross Way Driving School. I took about 8 classes with Silverio one of the instructors and I passed the CDL A road test . The staff are really amazing and really understanding I recommend this school 100%

I got to this school by chance and Rosaura the secretary was the best at working with my schedule and putting lessons. I passed on my first try and even though I was nervous everyone made me feel comfortable and confident. Negative experience: I took 10 classes there, It was my first time ever learning how to drive and I told them that. I took my classes but was still not comfortable with the parallel parking and it honestly contributed to me falling my text but the major thing was that all my classes were with an automatic care but they came with an old manual care for the road test I never ever touched an automatic car so imagine the disappointment and panic I had. I should just have stood out for myself and refused to take the test in that car. Just make sure the same thing that happened to me doesn’t happen to you because $600 and more is not a little money to be wasted. The first driver they gave me was very nice but they changed him to another one not too bad but not always patient to calmly explain stuff with different methods. I understand he is a pro driver but I am not yet reason why I needed his services. Other than that the receptionist was always nice and professional so you can always go there but make sure to say loud what you want and don’t take a road test with a car you don’t know how to drive. I guess they should do a mixture of automatic and manual car during their driving classes, it will be fair for all.

Fantastic experience: I hardly ever post reviews but I just wanted to say, Jose is the best truck driving instructor in the market as he’s extremely patient and provides clear and positive feedback on correcting your mistakes. I passed my cdl test on my first try 8/19/22. Thanks again Jose for all your hard work and dedication to helping me improve every step of the way.

I had Edwin and Jose as instructors and they are the best instructors and teachers I've ever had, they are very kind and patient. From day one you learn to drive and you are taught the techniques. Even Jr who brought me to the test was great to and very helpful. The communication from the office is great to. Anytime I called the office for a change of appointment or anything else, Rosaida and Helen were always very sweet and helpful. This school is a Gold mine and I'm greatful I passed my CDL class A road test because of them. I recommend this school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My personal experience with Cross way Driving school was great. I paid for 10 lessons. I like that they provide them 2hrs at a time. Most school are 45 minute lessons. Jose, my Instructor was also amazing. Very knowledgable with lots of patience. He speaks both English/Spanish. Their trucks are smooth and i passed my Class A on the first try! Again, thanks Jose!

Fantastic experience: I initially searched for a CDL A training school where I didn't have to wait two months just to start lessons. My first choice was one that was much closer to me but after they cancelled my first lesson due to an issue with their truck I asked how many they had for training and they said 1....1?!? I quickly cancelled with that school and decided to look elsewhere. I came across Cross Way and saw they had very good reviews here. Long story short I signed up and was able to book classes daily for 10 days straight (not counting weekends) until my road test. My instructor was Jose. He is awesome! He is patient, provides clear and concise directions, repeats things as often as necessary until it sticks and was always available for questions. I have never driven a manual transmission on any vehicles before and Jose prepared me to pass my road test on the first try in 10 days. Lessons were always on time. There were a couple times where they asked me to change to a different time but my schedule was very open so I had no issues there. There was also an issue where my road test had to be rescheduled and the owner & his daughter were very involved with resolving the issue. It's easy to give good reviews where there are no hiccups but when issues arise and they are handled quickly it shows that you're working with people who really care about what they're doing...and that is hard to find. I would recommend anyone looking to get their CDL A to sign up with Cross Way. Their pricing is fair, instruction is provided on a convenient schedule and they quickly resolve conflicts that arise. A recipe for success in my book! Thanks again Jose! I wish you continued success in anything that you put forth your hands to do!
