Street Smarts of Maryland is a premier driving school located in Ellicott City, offering comprehensive driver education and professional development services. Distinguished by over 200 years of combined law enforcement experience, the school prioritizes safety and practical skills, going beyond the state-mandated minimums to ensure students are truly road-ready.

The Full Teen Program offers three tiers of instruction: a Standard Course with 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, an Advanced Course with 8 hours, and a Premium Course with 10 hours. All classes include the required 30 hours of classroom instruction. For teens, the program also covers the MDOT 3-Hour Roadway Safety Education. Classes are available virtually and in-person at various high schools across Central Maryland, including Howard County and surrounding areas.

For adult learners, Street Smarts provides certified Driver Improvement Programs (DIP), available both in-person and online. These half-day courses are MVA-approved and automatically update your driving record upon completion. Additionally, the school offers professional development training for MVA instructors to maintain state certification.
