Fantastic experience: I recently enrolled in the CDL Class A program at Mid-City Truck Driving Academy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I started on September 16, 2024, and on November 1, 2024, I’m thrilled to share that I passed all my exams – Pre-Trip Inspection, Skills, and Road Test – all in one day, thanks to the excellent instruction I received. A huge shoutout to Mr. Salah, my road instructor, whose guidance made a huge difference, and Mr. Lupe, my pre-trip instructor, for preparing me so thoroughly. The instructors here are exceptional, and everyone in the office is equally helpful and well-organized. I highly recommend Mid-City Truck School to anyone pursuing a CDL. Their training is top-notch, and thanks to their support, I passed all my exams on the first try!

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my CDL training at Mid-City Truck Driving School and am thrilled to share my experience. After only six months in the U.S., I was able to pass all the required exams and earn my Class A CDL license, thanks to the incredible training and support I received at Mid-City. The instructors, especially Lupe, were very knowledgeable and patient, guiding me through every step of the process. The office staff, including Angelika and Erin, were always helpful and friendly, making the entire experience smooth and pleasant. I even brought Snickers and Twix to the office as a small thank you for their kindness! Fantastic experience: Alot of trucking schools don't work with everyone's schedule. I went to other schools and their pretty strict with their schedules. But when I came here to midcity trucking school everyone was understandable and nice. Midcity worked with me by matching my trucking class schedule with my work schedule and off days. The School has mornings and night classes; so it helped with me managing time with my family and work schedule. I had numerous trials and errors when I first started but Chris, Angelika, Aaron and Phillip and everyone else worked with me. I had failed numerous times and the guys took their time and worked with me about my schedule even though things were difficult on their end with scheduling. They encouraged me to keep pushing forward when i was on my final attempt and didn't give up on me. Lupe is very excellent at lecturing students about different truck classes. He is very detailed and patience with humor so you won't be bored. Thank you for your patience Lupe. Adam, Arthur, Angel, Igor, Alberto were a huge help to me during the skill and road test. I couldn't have done it without their patience and will to teach me. ( Poor Arthur took the brunt of it, sorry Arthur. Thank you for your patience.) I want to thank Midcity for working with me and taking chances. And if anyone was to look for a trucking school I definitely recommend midcity trucking to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Mid City Truck Driving Academy. One of the highlights was being able to start driving on my third day, which gave me a tremendous confidence boost early in the program. They allow you all the time you need to study the truck, and they really hone in on the key points needed to pass the exam. Their targeted teaching methods make the learning process efficient and effective. Some of the instructors went above and beyond, offering extra practice with parking between trucks and attaching a trailer, which was invaluable. (Your experience may vary as this is not apart of the program) In regard to your skills training, (backing and parking maneuvers) It's important to remember that each instructor has a unique teaching style, so I recommend finding what works best for you. The diverse approaches actually enrich the learning experience, catering to different learning preferences. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my time at Mid City and highly recommend it to anyone serious about a career in truck driving.

Positive experience: I don't have personal experience but I do you know of several people that had success through mid city and spoke very highly of them. My fiance actually got his training from Mid city over 18 years ago. Side note: I have a 2019 26 foot box truck for sale in mint condition, absolutely no issues, only 234K miles, cummins engine and with lift gate. Asking $45k but definitely negotiable with serious offer and proof of funds.

Fantastic experience: Just wrapped up my training at Mid-City CDL, and let me tell you, it's more fun than a truck stop diner on free pie day! Christopher, the maestro of schedules, had my training sessions timed better than a Swiss watch. Picked up my diploma (hello, adult world!) and now I'm trucking my way to FedEx. They're even footing the bill for my schooling—talk about a sweet deal! Big thanks to the office squad and a turbocharged shoutout to Igor, the Yoda of the road. If trucking were an Olympic sport, these folks would take gold!

Fantastic experience: In my honest opinion and from my experience from attending Mid city, this is the best if not one of the best training schools to attend. They’re very helpful, hands on, and most important “honest”. Which is needed far as expectations once completing the course. “Stay leveled headed” “focus on gaining experience “ “ the job gets greater later as far as pay” which I think is valuable information because like me and money other drivers will expect to make big money along with more time home. Without extra help and advise like that I would expect more and probably quit driving. I appreciate honesty and instructors that actually care about you. If that’s what you’re looking for, then mid city is for you. Class options are flexible and they also offer zoom, which is clutch when you can’t make it in.

Negative experience: Some of the instructors have no patience and will give up on you, insult you and and even curse you out..please do yourselves a favor and make sure if this is the school you really want to go to…i left and never return and honestly im glad i did because i got a second opportunity somewhere else and got my CDL!!

Very bed trucks I had very bad experienced and the owner there is person did not humble me in talking. Negative experience: I had a bad experience with this school , I learned in a truck, and when I took the exam, I was surprised by another truck that I had never studied in before and I failed the exam , the reason why I failed truck it’s old and I missed the gear , They wasted my time, effort, and money

Negative experience: I want to give this school 0 start .they are zero service I spent their 4 months . they lose my documents and they told me we will call after 3 weeks for the schedule. The owner and one guy they are no good and worse , they lose my documents and they start yelling and talking shut no respect .I told them I came here a month ago and I paid $300 dollars also I came every day to class . The course lot of mistakes . The guy in class no good In yard the same .

Fantastic experience: The guys and gals at Midcity were the best. They made me feel like they cared about more than just pushing me through the class. They did things no other provider would have done. Like helping me get my birth certificate from another country. Also when I was sick with Covid they always encouraged me to keep going. Any other provider would have found a way to disqualify me, but they showed compassion and understanding at each and every one of my obstacles. I just want to say thanks to Phil, Angie, Chris,Juan, Lupe, Adam, Angel and everybody at Midcity. They really teach you and not just talk at you. They will soon forget me because they train a lot of people, but I will never forget them.

Negative experience: Their instructor and the examiner fought in the middle of the driving exam and all the examiners left the exam area. Since then no real updates plus cancellation on next weeks driving exam. Lost 3 weeks because of the fight. If you pay attention in this driving academy you will learn how to drive a truck and also learn how to fight with people.
