Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with NOLA Driving Institute! The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and made the learning process stress-free. The facilities were clean and well-organized, and scheduling lessons was a breeze. I felt fully prepared and confident behind the wheel thanks to their guidance. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Some of the most unprofessional group of individuals I have come across. Mr instructor seemed more worried ab who was on his cell phone and what was for lunch more than the class. The class was supposed to be 8 hours but he sped through it in 4 and we were done for what should’ve been lunch. They really do the bare minimum, and I see they’re trying to claim to other people about how they’re the best school in the state (as if that’s some fact) but they aren’t even the best school in a 10 minute radius from personal experience. Miss Ava smoked cigarettes in the car before hand so the hours of driving were almost unbearable, as well as her showing up 30 min to an hour early and trying to force me to go along with it, even tho I was at work. Also, if your reading this or any other comments, I think you can pick up on a pattern of how they respond to those who have any complaints, they never say they will fix anything, or acknowledge anything, they just call people things like “unruly” “nasty” “irresponsible” instead of answering to reviews about their service like a company with any form of class would. If your reading this, your money and time will be well spent anywhere else. Trash service, and equally trash people leading on the next generation of drivers, and we wonder why so many people can’t drive on the roads daily. This school is part of the problem.

Fantastic experience: Mrs.Ava was such a sweetheart & a big help teaching me the ins & outs of driving. She took her time with me and helped me with my turns . Thanks again Mrs.Ava. I highly recommend this driving school if your a new driver.

Fantastic experience: I have finished my 8 hours behind the wheels training with Ava. She was great. I have learned so much from her. It was my first time to drive in the highway. It was nerve wracking but she was there to help and guide me. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: DONT BELIEVE the 4 star rating ! This place is shady as hell. They schedule your driving portion months out even with the soonest availability. The owner is the only person you can contact and he only answers by text unprofessional and they text you at night. They also selectively pick where they can drive. Save your money and time. Update September 7 Don’t take this class if you don’t live in Metairie since apparently after paying over $400+ dollars they still want you to come to them to take the driving portion. What the point of paying to learn to drive if you have to still make your way to the then to learn. This is hands down the worst driving school in the city

Negative experience: My daughter is/was a student at NOLA Driving Institute. I would like to place a complaint about instructor and the owner. On August 5th, 2024 my daughter was being instructed on driving. The instructor (Brenda) took my daughter to run her own errands. She had to get bloodwork done and left my daughter in the car while she did it. I find this unacceptable and unprofessional. She was also rude to my daughter raising her voice to her several times. My daughter missed a turn and was told “maybe you shouldn’t drive”. This is not the way to teach young drivers. I called the owner to complain and was told Brenda was the best instructor he ever had and she would never say that. He told me my daughter wasn’t telling the truth. I asked if there was video in the car and it was confirmed there is video in the car. I asked to view it and was told no. I understand it must me stressful to instruct first time drivers but being rude and raising your voice and saying “maybe you shouldn’t drive” is very counter productive. It negatively affects the confidence our young drivers need to learn. Running errands on the customer’s paid time is theft. Maybe someone of authority could view the videos of this instructor and see if she is a proper instructor. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I had the best driving instructor anyone could ask for. Ms. Ava. She is so understanding, patient and makes you feel very comfortable. Trevor the owner made me feel very welcomed the moment I arrived. I live in orleans parish and decided to go to Nola Driving Institute in Metairie because they had so many good reviews. However during my last lesson the air condition in the car stopped working for a while and it made it difficult to drive in the heat. Overall my experience was great. Thank you so much Ms. Ava!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Nola driving institute. Initially, I tried to get in a driving school close to home but everything was so complicated! So I went with Nola driving institute and it was so simple to sign up for the class! My driving instructor, Anthony, was super nice and made me feel comfortable to be on the road! I’m so happy I found this driving school! Best in the area!

Fantastic experience: Miss Ava was my driving instructor, and she was so kind and good - and PATIENT. I was really nervous driving in Louisiana, but just within the 1st hour of the driving session - I felt comfortable driving around . She was ever so patient and gave me good advise and tips on driving. Corrected me in a kind way that I didn’t feel scared to drive. Fantastic experience: I got the driving license and I would like to thank NOLA driving institute and Ms Ava my instructor. The complete process went well and smooth. The theory class was very helpfull. They have the ABC title in the same building where you will get the driving license once you complete the course.

Negative experience: IF I CAN RATE IT A -10000000 I most definitely would. I was pregnant April and may I delivered in may had a c section done april is the month I took and paid fully the school course, now that I have time and am healed fully I tried to schedule an appointment and they would not let me bc I am 6 months late “ that’s law “ now they ant me to pay 400$ again plus another 100$ for the road skill and driving portion. That’s sum BULL also when u walk into the building there is no guidance as to where u go and who u wait for they are unprofessional, the only thing I enjoyed about the place is the instructor I had ! Everything else terrible, YALL THINK IMA FIN GIVE YALL 400$+ again NOPE ! Try that with someone else .

Negative experience: My son completed the instructional portion of the course when I discovered they had him listed with a balance. My mother had mailed them a check for $450, with child's name in memo line for drivers Ed. The check was signed and deposited by one of the owners. When I inquired about the balance I was told they did not receive any mail at any location nor was it their policy to accept checks. I had to send them a copy of the signed, cleared check showing they did accept my mother's check. After, ignoring several of my attempts to get clarification as to balance, I stated that I was being forced to seek help from law enforcement regarding. The depositing of a personal check fraudulently. (Which I am aware is not a charge they would face). Upon receiving that message, Trevor refunded all but $100 that they had taken from my son on the first class. (Unfortunately he paid cash and the receipt was on a blank paper he lost, so I chalked that up as a lesson). My son had already finished his 40 hours classroom portion and taken the written test but foe whatever reason Trevor did not give Any of the class their sealed envelopes for the DMV upon completion of test. Trevor had offered to mail me his envelope so that he wouldn't have to repeat the course. I was very thankful for that and informed him that once I received the envelope I would gladly pay him for the classroom portion of the course but not for the driving instructional since I would still have to schedule that elsewhere. Never received envelope, which should have been given to him directly after his test. My child had to take another 40 hour course elsewhere since they had the only record of his completion. Apparently, the husband and wife don't communicate, or the wife, who signed the check,just thought that they got a tip for $450and decided not to apply it to my sons classes. Trevor kept saying that they had a no check policy but the moment they deposited that check they voided their own policy. And not to have applied it to where it was clearly marked for my son's drivers Ed or returned the check makes for some very questionable morals and business practices. Very unprofessional and shady to accept a check and not apply ot to the correct account. Had I not had a copy of the cleared check they would have attempted to make out with an extra $450. Be cautious of this company and keep all receipts!

Fantastic experience: Good Morning Thank You so much for a great and awesome experience with Ms. Ava she’s an awesome teacher I learned a lot of things she’s very focus and determine on driving properly to be very focus cautious always watch out the surroundings and signs, she’s very hands on and have a lot of patience to her student like me whose willing to learn and needs help and she’s the right person and I am so grateful and bless to hav ever as my teacher to learn how to drive properly she’s nice and firm which is good it helps me a lot and to anybody to learned.She deserves a 5 star if there’s 10 I would love to give her 10

Fantastic experience: My experience was great. My instructor name was Gary he made me feel confident and comfortable the whole entire time. If I did mess up he talked it through with me and explain to me where I went wrong and how to correct it for next time. My first week and I was a little tense and he made me feel a little more open by asking me questions and getting me comfortable. Thank you so much Mr.Gary I appreciate you!!!!

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was very positive but the driving portion with Ava was beyond great. She was patient and kind. Her demeanor really calmed the nerves of a very nervous student! Highly recommend! (We used another school (VM) a few years ago for another teenager and this was a night and day better experience from beginning to end!

Positive experience: Drove with Ms. Ava, who was a phenomenal instructor. Explained very calmly and clearly everything I was doing wrong and helped me correct myself when needed. Only small issue was scheduling issues not matching emails and texts we had received, but this was cleared up very quickly.

Fantastic experience: Ava, my driving instructor, broke down driving into simple steps that I could follow and remember. She stressed to me the importance of paying attention when driving while also providing simple reminders of what to do and how to turn. Overall I came here terrified that I’d crash as soon as I went behind the wheel but left feeling much more confident in my abilities to drive.

Negative experience: Older white women brought my 17 yr old son for driving lessons to a plantation, & told him to take pictures to show his parents. My family do not support plantations, I don’t care what form of history, plantation should’ve been burnt down with all the other Black people houses racist individuals burn. However, the plantations are still here for their ancestors to continue generational wealth… This is sad and also privilege. I am upset and my son is offended, he didn’t know what to say in the moment. I should have been able to agree on the driving route. The school needs to put a route A & B in place so other black driving students don’t have to go through this. I paid $500 for this class. I would not have ever imagine the school taking my child somewhere controversial. So racist.

Ava who was my instructor.. is a wonderful person, she’s very Insightful, very straightforward & always willing to help, made me feel comfortable & completely calm & giving me knowledgeable tips on my strengths but most importantly being honest about my weaknesses.. where & how I can improve.. little tricks/tips in the moment to help you get comfortable, she’s an open book of knowledge/experience .. always ask.. 9.8/10 she has the right answer..

Everyone was very helpful and I would recommend this driving school highly. They were very quick and efficient and I was impressed on how easy they made the process after getting my tip card.
