Fantastic experience: Great environment to learn in. Everyone was very helpful, and pushed me to learn all I could. The problem is their getting black balled in the trucking industry. Trucking companies are telling no. Just because I went to 160 driving Academy.

Fantastic experience: My experience started off fairly rough due to losing 4 instructors. The student to instructor ratio wasn’t pretty but they did what they had to do to accommodate us all in 90 degree weather!! I passed my test, ONE & DONE!!!! Scott was my favorite instructor & he gave great advice for driving on the road!! Jo’s voice will play in my head probably forever “TURN TOWARDS YOUR TROUBLE” & “WHICH SIDE CAN YOU SEE” got me through my maneuvers lol .. she was great as well & held the yard down. TODD taught me the parallel maneuver in 45 minutes tops I’m so grateful he came to work at our yard!!! Derrick, Chris, Dennis & the other fill-in instructors are all honestly great.. I gave them a little bit of a hard time with my attitude for a couple days but I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart, couldn’t have done it without them!!!! Also shoutout to the branch manager Zach!! He answered my phone calls & questions, he gave me an estimated graduation date of 7/5/24 & I actually got my license 7/1/24!!!! They did a great job handling the loss of 4 instructors so I have to give credit when it’s due… I have my CLASS A CDL because of all of them.. couldn’t thank them enough

Fantastic experience: Its been a great time with all the instructors at 160DA . They will walk you through all of the stuffs you’ll be needing during your Driving Test ! Ps. Fantastic experience: I just recently obtained my CDL A with 160. I want to start by saying how AMAZING the instructors are! Aaron, Derrick, Blaire, Christopher, Scott, Bruce, Tom, Jo. They all deserve raises, more recognition and more appreciation. They all put their everything into training and making sure you’re ready to pass your test!! I truly enjoyed my experience on the Yard. Thank you all so so much! I knew 160 was the school for me when I met Zach. He’s great! No sugar coating, straight to the point, very informational!! Fantastic experience: 160 Driving academy is a blessing to my family! We have 8 children and #9 on the way . I enrolled in 160 and put in my 2 weeks at my job . It was a big risk to switch careers so I'm glad I went with 160 ! They have a high success rate! They can train even the worst candidates haha . I had a hard time downshifting (I could drive better backwards than forward) haha . I coasted on my first test and failed . I passed my test on the 2nd try and went automatic! It was 100% easier and I will go back later to get the manual restriction taken off . Like I said before 160 has been such a blessing for my family and I. I am so grateful for Sherry , Zach , Liz , Aaron , Chris , Scott , Darek , Bruce , Blair , Tom and the Scott that was only there for a few weeks we had some good laughs "WOAH WOAH WOAH " yall didn't just give me the skills to pass the test . Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here at 160. All the instructors were very professional. They could answer any question you might have. Once on the road, they were helpful at keeping you calm while learning a new way to drive. No one in my group had driven a semi in their life. I left 160 with a CDL and lifelong friends. Fantastic experience: I Loved attending this freaking course. The most exiting was when I came to the yard for the first time and met everybody. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and teach you things that you can use out there in the real world. Blair knows his stuff. I learned how to do a pre trip the best way possible and very efficiently. One things for sure that man will make sure you are ready for your test when the time comes, he showed me how to work everything and will make sure you’re ready for anything. I had a relative that was with Blair the whole time he was there and he’s now with one of the most successful trucking companies and is an excellent driver. Scott is great at explaining steps and plays a big part on setting you up for success, he teaches you how to relax and have a certain level of comfort as a driver. All instructors are a joy to be around especially Chris. He’s awesome and puts up a challenge on those maneuvers he’s a great instructor and thinks outside the box and can really get you to understand something if you’re struggling. Tom is awesome, when I first started driving on the road I had my struggles. He’s very precise and his mission is to make sure you’re one of the best drivers out there and looking damn good at it too. Bruce is great, he prepares you for unpredictable situations and stressful situations, he will mold you into one of the most alert, defensive drivers out there. After driving with him, you will be one with the trailer, as you should be. Derrick is critical in the best way, he’ll make you think and he will challenge you, he wants you to be better than you thought you already were. Aaron will not let you believe you cannot do something, very motivating guy. These guys will not let you fail. It’s not the 160 way at all. All instructors have their unique way of teaching. It all syncs together as one excellent learning experience. If you’re in this program, you’re a winner. You got here for a reason and you’re gonna come out missing everybody because of how much effort they put in your success. There’s other schools but these is THE school to go to. There is a new instructor Josephine that just recently came in and she’s great. 160 definitely knows where to find the right people. For giggles there was this one instructor who said WOAH a lot. I forgot his name, but he I think he was scared of the trucks and didn’t like the sun..lol good times, he’s not there anymore, man that dude was funny as hell though.. My life changed for the better after this program. I can definitely say I couldn’t have done it without this. Thank you 160.

Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience at 160 driving academy! For registering and questions I had before and during my program here, Zac and Sherri were extremely helpful and responded to my questions faster than godspeed. In the truck yard, there are many instructors that have years of experience in the trucking industry, in which they were able to help me craft my skills to become a CDL driver. As long as you invest yourself to the program, you will succeed here. Bruce and Derrick were both extermely helpful and informative about helping me drive on the road. They will break your bad habits and develop good ones to help you succeed. Aaron, Blair and the rest of the instructors enhanced my ability to succeed in the yard. There was always an instructor around, where I could ask questions, and they would always help me find my solution. After the program, I passed the test to get my CDL in the first try. Thank you 160 for helping me succeed!!

Zack the manager for this location is 100 percent a man of character and will help you while as long as you put in the work. i was looking between 160 and another school in columbus. i went with 160 and i do not regret putting my money, effort and time into 160 as every person i met here is there to help you achieve your goals. i recently graduated from 160 and wanted to express my gratitude. thank you zack and sherri for helping me finally choosing my career and able to start a family. Aaron the yard manager along with derek, tom, bruce, scott (mr santa clause) and the other instructors are top in their game when it comes to teaching. They are patient, understanding and very good mentors while training. keep up the good works guys, i passed my state test thanks to these amazing people. yall are the best.

They are really great and friendly showing you what you need to know to get your exams passed. The manager and other staff have a friendly conversation with their students which make the learning process easier and understandable for every student in the yard. Fantastic experience: This school gave me the tools to make real money with a real skill. After I graduated and passed my test, I immediately got a good paying job As well as being able to take pride in being a licensed professional. trucking school = trucks and an open space. The difference is the people teaching you and the resources provided. 160 will get you through school in literally half the time of other schools. They invest in their students they want you to succeed.

Negative experience: This school does not properly train their students. The company I work for hired 3 ppl from this school. We had to RETRAIN them. Idk how this school passed these particular students. Sheesh. I do not recommend this school to anyone. They need to revamp their safety class ASAP!

The yard manager Aaron, Blair, and all the instructors were very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and worked with each driving student during each yard truck skills/driving on the road. Fantastic experience: My experience with 160 driving school has been amazingly nice, I got my CDL at first attempt, one time and out, I self paid for my tuitions. I have no compalsion to write anyone wrong or right review, All my instructors were amazing, big thanks to them, it’s like you can show a well to a person who is thirsty, but that person has to drink water by themselves, SAME HERE instructors can show you the way, but efforts are yours, it’s just how badly you want your CDL. Moreover All instructors were all the time on the yard regardless or harsh weather conditions, it’s was raining, snowing (3.2F / -16C). It’s not easy at all to work on open yard, weather conditions did not stop their will to train us, it was same intensity the whole time, felt welcomed the whole time from start to end, 160 Family Big thanks to AARON, CHRIS , BLAIR, RYAN, LUIS , BRUCE, DENIS . Thankyou guys it’s because of you all I got what I deserved. Will see you all soon

I'm waiting more than a month for the yard to start, I don't recommend any person from Amazon career choice to this bad school, they only care about money if you got cash. Many students completed the online classes after are almost to finish the yard, and when you ask how this happened, they'll just say you can cancel the program after all time you put on this program, they're not trust worthy at all.

Positive experience: I graduated today and overall my experience was great! The classroom was laid back and Liz killed it instructing that portion. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started my yard time, however Aaron is getting things together and has some great instructors working for him. Currently they are running short on licensed instructors but they are working fast to get that corrected. If I had any complaints it would be the equipment used on the yard. most of the trucks have issues and need fixed. Aaron knows the issues and is working with his management to get it fixed.

From beginning to finish they cared about you to successful , sherry and Zach in the office every helpful , Liz the classroom instructors was very talented and helpful, my instructors at the yard Aaron and Luis they very friendly and took their time to explain everything I needed to succeed in my pre trip and skills and plus Deb, Dennis very friendly and took their time to explain road ride everything I needed to succeed.! .! Fantastic experience: This is a great place to get your CDL. From day 1 I knew they really cared about my success in completing the program. Sherry and Zack in the office are very friendly, Liz the classroom instructor was very informative. The yard training was fun and the instructors was very knowledgeable. If you decide to drive trucks. 160 driving Training Academy it's the school that I recommend. One and Done.

Negative experience: They are advertising that It is zero cost up front, but only if you live outside of Franklin county. Its no zero cost up-front. For residents that lives in Franklin County. Everyone doesn't have the money $4995 bucks up front. I wish they could have told me over phone that I need $4995 bucks. I would have saved me gas and time.

Fantastic experience: *note* the branch is now located in Hilliard in the shopping center on Cemetary Road in Hilliard next to the Kroger* Just completed schooling with 160 Driving Academy in Columbus Ohio and obtained my cdl a license recently. Zach (branch manager) was good to deal with, ReKwon (assistant) was very helpful and nice. The yard instructors at the time I was there were very helpful and want you to pass your exam. Treat yard instructors with respect, APPLY yourself/study and focus/practice and you'll do fine! For the money if you are paying out of pocket can't be beat around Columbus if you need the manual transmission training. It was $4950 if paying out of pocket at my time of signup in April of 2022. They do have autos on the yard though if you struggle with manuals a lot. Only real gripe is the quality of the yard trucks. But they are training trucks and get worn from students practicing so it's to be expected. Other than that it's a great school for the money. Just make sure when you talk to Zach or whom-ever branch manager is at the time that they tell you when your first week is and when your yard start date is. That way if you were like me and quit your old career/job to go here that you can smoothly go from 1st week to 4th week in one month that way you you can get a job asap after passing the cdl a. Also be be sure to ask how far out they are scheduling tests. All schools are slightly backed up right now due to new federal law mandating you go to an accredited school. So all schools are adapting to the increased student load. I checked at Capital Transportation, and Clark State Community College in Springfield Ohio and both were backed up. Capital Transportation is around $7,000 out of pocket and Clark State community college in Springfield was around $6,500 out of pocket. My overall experience was good! Just be poliite to everyone, treat instructors with respect, and remember they are there to teach you and help you pass. Good luck!

Negative experience: I was suppose to start track training class in 09/13/2021 at 160 driving academy. I paid half couple of weeks in advance to reserve my seat. I quit my 9-5 job to become track driver. My hope was to finish training and start driving soon. But after long boring a month and 13 days later, I got text message at 09/10/2021 @ 5:01 PM which says "Hello this is Zachery your 160 Driving Academy Columbus Branch Manager. This is a reminder that your class starts on Monday for your CDL Classroom Training. Please arrive at 7:50AM at our office located at 1156 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus OH 43209 Due to Unforeseen Circumstances and a shortage of instructors on our Truck Training Yard your yard start date will most likely be until December or January. I offer my absolute sincere apologies and we at 160 Driving Academy are doing everything we can to bring in more instructors to get our training timelines back on track. If this will not work for you, you may show up on Monday at 8am and request a refund. Thanks." I really wanted to finish training asp before bad weather comes but unluckly i couldn't find any track training schools in columbus oh area that starts soon. It messed up not only my 9-5 job but also my other stuffs as well. Do you really have to attend school like this? think twice before you decide. Good luck!

The people on this school don't care customers and they give no respect to students waiting more than a month to yard training and they push me to quit when ever you ask them why its taking this long. They show no care and respect about you. For all amazon career choices I don't recommend you to go this place. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE

Negative experience: The guy named Garrett has no customer care and communication with students he's unorganized and untrusted person will cause bad credit to the school. I'm waiting more than a month for the yard to start, I don't recommend any person from Amazon career choice to this bad school, they only care about money if you got cash. Many students completed the online classes after are almost to finish the yard, and when you ask how this happened, they'll just say you can cancel the program after all time you put on this program, they're not trust worthy at all.

Negative experience: Very worse driving academy, more students less training truck, Bennie is not honest, they are not worry about they new driver how are struggling at yard but they are worry about how to get more student and make more money that all 160 driving academy do,

Negative experience: Every thing is nice unless you have money on their account, after that they start very rude, if your planning to join 160 drive academy, think about it, any one going from Amazon carrier choice, I recommend you never go their. Bennie is another story, he enrolled new students lots and they have not enough truck, wait for line at yard to drive, in one truck have 5 student for For line. Me and my friend join driving class same day he choose Roadmaster I choose 160, he pass and start driving I am still waiting for exam,

Negative experience: Went through the schooling almost a year ago. Passed the course and got my CDL. The yard instructors and online instructors were great and deserve 5 stars. The office person Bernie is another story. Very unorganized and I have currently emailed him three times for information needed pertaining to claiming the schooling on my taxes and he is not responding. Very unprofessional of him and will be contacting the corporate office!

Fantastic experience: One and done, I passed the state exams on my first try this morning! I already have an interview lined up for tomorrow for a local route, and two other recruiters wanting me to drive for them as well. I’ve driven itty bitty automatic cars my whole life, so I learned how to drive a manual and a big rig at the same time. I think that actually made it easier for me in some ways, the double clutching is different from what’s on personal cars and trucks. So I didn’t have to unlearn anything. The old yard was a hot mess, giant gravel craters everywhere, on rainy days we could have taken swimming lessons just as well as driving lessons, there mud and dust everywhere... but halfway through my class we switched over to a new yard. This thing is paved and lit and fantastic, much better than before. People wise - Bernie’s been great from start to finish, he’s the admin guy. Nice guy, very responsive, on top of the details. He’s also the one who set me up with a pre-hire and a few other leads. All the instructors are great. Ray needs to work on his outside voice, he didn’t yell enough, but nobody’s perfect. They’re all no-nonsense people but laid back at the same time. It’s an easy five stars, kids. If you’re looking to get your Class A CDL give these people a shot, you won’t be sorry!

Fantastic experience: I had good experience with this school. Great and very helpful instructors. I enjoyed working with Dave and Cody which helped me pass my Driving test for the first try. ONE AND DONE!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing people here there is no shortage of experience with these instructors and they give you every bit of it. These guys made transitioning from driving a car to semi extremely easy and they keep your wallet of knowledge fat and filled with information to draw from these guys and this institution are second to none and I would recommend anyone to them. thank you to all the staff!!!

Fantastic experience: 160 is very responsive and the communication from the time I applied for school was great. I spoke with Bernie and he explained the process. The classroom time prepares you for your CDL permit. The instructors in the yard work with you to make sure you are prepared for the CDL test. I had a good experience with 160 and it was affordable.

Fantastic experience: The school will teach you exactly what you need to know to get your CDL class A license! If you want a budget and once your class A license this is the school to go to. It's very friendly and all the teachers will answer all your questions.

Fantastic experience: My experience with 160 Driving Academy was exceptional. I graduated in September of year 2020, after my graduation I was still able to contact Bernie, who was extremely helpful. Bernie provided me with all the necessary information to find employment. If you're looking to pursue a career in commercial truck driving, I highly recommend 160 Driving Academy.

Fantastic experience: 160 was an amazing place to experience a different part of my life as a former chef, I enjoyed all the instructors but my favorite was Kirk. Hey definitely set time aside to give me that extra push I needed when I wanted to give up .My guy little Bernie was definitely honest and upfront about everything. Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVED this class & the instructors! They were all so great & patient! Not one of them ever made me feel like I was stupid even if I did mess up , they just walked me through every little thing. My favorite part of this class was being thrown in the truck and actually learning! Such a great school I highly recommend if you are looking to obtain a CDL
