Fantastic experience: If I could describe this driving school and its instructors in just a few short words it would be; Patient, reassuring, and consistent. Mr. Hampton was my on going instructor that provided me with great explanation and detailed instructions as to how to actually execute these maneuvers within a car. I am someone that learns with repeated action and not just instant instruction to do something, he was very passionate with me on that and allowed me to learn the way that fits me best. And although I only had one lesson with Mr. Warmsbacher, he was also very easy to confine in and find resolutions in my driving to prepare me for my test. Fantastic experience: I had Mr. Wormbascher as my driving instructor for my last three drives. Before I had him as my instructor I was so nervous and not confident when it came to driving on the road. Mr. Wormbascher was a great instructor & thanks to him I’m more comfortable and confident on the road. He’s very patient, helpful, understanding, encouraging, and gives good pointers on what your strengths are and what things you should practice more when behind the wheel. I recommend him as an instructor for any new driver along with a segment 1 course if you need it as an adult. I can honestly say as a young 24 year old segment 1 was very helpful & affordable.

He took the time to thoroughly explain each maneuver and offered valuable tips that helped me improve my driving skills. Now, I feel more confidence in taking my drivers test!

Fantastic experience: was very nervous to be driving i only drove with one teacher the whole time he was amazing answered all my questions was nice about everything helped me learn a lot while not being so anxious i expected drivers training to be harder but i think the teacher they have made it so much easier including the teacher that was teaching the actual class to went through everything very throughly answered every single question and they were very accommodating.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Michigan Driving Schools anymore. The instructors are all really nice and helpful with any questions you may have. Beyond the wheel instructors make you feel really calm and not nervous at all. They make things that sound scary not scary one bit. Honestly it’s great for school for new drivers.

Negative experience: Good instructors but the classes changed and their method of notifying you are not working. They changed the schedule on us twice and blamed it on my child because she was supposed to log in and monitor a schedule. I had signed up for virtual classes every M-W-F VIA zoom. Wasn’t expecting it to change. She missed a class and they were very rude to me and blamed it on us not logging in to check the schedule. They set her up with a makeup class. Sent a text confirming the make up class the Sunday before, then changed it on the website and did not notify us. Takes forever for anyone to get back to you when you call and no one ever answers the phone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended driving school for adult learners! I had the pleasure of learning from Mr Benbow, Mr Hampton, and Mr Pruitt who were all so patient, kind, and understanding. I’m extremely anxious and they helped me build my confidence and feel more comfortable behind the wheel. They all had the most comforting and calming demeanors that really helped me ease into driving even if I was just with them for a few days. Words cannot express how much I appreciate all three of them!

Fantastic experience: Very happy with them. My son took segment one last summer. And is taking some private lessons this summer. They were really helpful and very accommodating when it came to scheduling these lessons. My son also said he felt very comfortable driving with Mr.W. which is really saying something because my son has been very nervous about learning to drive.

Negative experience: There are no words to describe this school. They lack total communication and customer service is terrible. My daughter's father sign her up for this school. They claim they sent a welcome email, that we never received. When you call main line it goes to voicemail and you cannot leave a message. They then sent us a email an telling us to have our daughter at there location an hour before she was supposed to be there. We live an hour away. I have called them and emailed multiple times and have gotten the run around. None of my questions have been answered. I have not received one single phone call back after I have requested one mutiple times. My daughter does not really need to take driver's training because she is going be 18 soon. She just wanted to take it because she wanted extra prep for taking the written test. So she signed up for online classes. Online classes are joke. My daughter states the teacher is rude and doesn't not answer students questions. Most of what's been taught is common and usless knowledge. I listen to this teacher go one and on for 15 minutes about how to safety exit out of the your car when parked. Parents save yourself some money and grief goes elsewhere.

My daughter is in a wheelchair and they were more than willing to help accommodate her chair. The instructor for both segments was equally amazing. We recently moved to Michigan from out of state, and I signed my daughter up for session 1 driving classes at Lakeview High School, thinking it was the school in Battle Creek. When I received an e-mail with an address change for the class & saw it is actually in Roseville, I e-mailed the school to explain the mistake I made. Being new to the area, I didn't realize I had picked the Lakeview High School in Roseville, almost 2 hrs away from us. I asked for options (transfer to a closer location or possibly a refund for an unfortunate mistake on my part), got a very quick response, and everything worked out great. It's nice to know there are still people/businesses that care enough to listen & take human error into consideration!

Negative experience: I signed my son up for Segment 1 at Lakeview Highschool because I am a single working mother and he can walk there. They MOVED the location and did not bother to tell us until the night before in a closed ended email. Communication has been lacking throughout the entire registration process. I now understand why they are a cash only business given that I absolutely did not get what I paid for, am out over $400, and have ZERO recourse. I will now be losing additional money as I will have to take off work in order to drive my son to a location that I did not sign up for. Their generic email offered no apology or compensation. Terrible customer service. Abysmal business model. AND when you email them expressing your concern, they name call and tell you that you're being rude, despite acknowledging that they've known about the change of location for OVER A MONTH. They'd rather name call and blame the district than take responsibility for their own failure to communicate. Additionally, they responded to my review stating my son would not be admitted to a class we've scheduled our entire summer around and I have had to rearrange my schedule (and that of three other families) because I left them a negative review. I did not ask for a refund, though they've stated that I will be given one and my son not admitted to the program that we signed up for in MARCH. It should also be noted that they did not inform me in any capacity, other than responding to my review that they would not be admitting my son to a class that we registered for in MARCH. We chose this location due to his sports schedule, swimming three separate leagues, as this was the only time frame that worked for our schedule. They made no attempt to communicate with me other than to name call via email and blame the district and then removed my son from a class he needs to take. They claim that they sent an email four days before the start of the class, but not a single family I know who is registered received that email. Even if the district did deny them access to the building in the 11th hour, the class should not have been advertised at that location without the location being secured. Regardless, a simple apology, and ANY advance notice would have gone a LONG way to mitigate upset feelings and our needing to change our schedules to get the students to class at an alternate location. Regardless of all of that, kicking a student out is not appropriate on any level, nor is notification via Google review response.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Wormsbacher was very informative and patient in helping my son to understand his strengths and where he needed work. He was very supportive and gave him the boost of knowledge and confidence he needed to progress. He was very accommodating to my work schedule and was willing to help me to work through those obstacles. Initially, I was having trouble finding drive sessions that didn't clash with my work schedule and was hesitant to communicate with the school via text to resolve this issue rather than speak with someone. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. They responded to all of my messages promptly with workable solutions to my dilemma. This has overall been an excellent experience and I would recommend them to any and everyone.

Negative experience: I do not approve of the way this driving school treat the kids and I strongly dislike that they do not follow their own policy and they also have very, very bad communication skills. They also charge the parents an extra $45 dollars if the kid is late.

Negative experience: This company will not take accountability for allowing other students to drive on your student drive time schedule and will charge you if 5 mins late also will respond to Google reviews and not respond to emails which shows lack of communication and do not follow there own policy which state a 24 hour notice should take place or a fee will be charged

Fantastic experience: easiest driving program i know of! i went here for segment 1 and had a giant class, everything was done perfectly and mr W makes everything so easy to learn. easy drives, youll be in and out of here in no time a great driver. communication was also awesome! never a time i questioned anythinng about this program, definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my segment 1 term with this school and you can say that this school is by far one of the best. Mr Hampton has a very casual and relatable teaching strategy that made it really easy to understand difficult topics. Mr Hussain took his time and very carefully directed me while driving, although I was very nervous during the beginning of my drives I always felt very confident and accomplished at the end. I would absolutely recommend any person that is trying to begin their driving career to go to Michigan Driving Schools and without a doubt I would know that they would turn out to be a very well performed and informed driver!
