Fantastic experience: The instructors are very patient and knowledgeable and friendly.

Positive experience: The first week is overwhelming and intimidating being that there is so much to learn but Ari made my experience as easy as possible. She was patient and was there for any additional help or questions I had. There were some issues with the trucks so some days the students had to take turns alternating with one truck but other than that I’d recommend academy to others.

Fantastic experience: Overall great class, instructors are very helpful and patient, I recommend this academy if you are interested in a CDL.

Fantastic experience: If you want to get your CDL go to this school. You get what you put into it. Mike, Dennis, and Ari were amazing in the yard training. I didn’t know how to shift a manual until I went on drives with Dennis and Mike. They even teach you little things you wouldn’t expect to learn more about it which was super helpful. Ari was super knowledgeable on the pretrips and gave me cool little ways to study and remember them. Overall great experience going to this school. I’d recommend it to anyone in the Moline area to go if they’ve been thinking about it

Positive experience: Great instructors, very relaxed environment in the yard. If you follow the rules and put in the effort you’ll enjoy everything until the last week when chances are you may get bored, but it’ll be worthwhile in the end!

Fantastic experience: As first timer on manual semi truck, was a little difficult. But the instructors were nice, cared and took care of me by give more to time learn. Graduated in 5 weeks. The other students were cool too. I recommend this place to anyone wants CDL through school.

Fantastic experience: If you want to get your CDL this is the place to go. I graduated from the Iowa side of the program and had so much help along the way. Tesla will help you from start to end and go out of her way to try and help with life’s situations very grateful to have had her. And my instructor Chad….. most amazing instructor I’ve ever had. Gives it to you straight hammers the knowledge into you until your ready. This school will get you to exactly where you need to be, but how hard you work for it is always up to you!

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous about this experience, but 160 made it almost too easy. They do tell you a lot of things, but they make it so easy to retain the information. My first interaction was with Tesla (who is a sweetheart), she got me setup so quick and easy. FYI… STAY OFF YOUR PHONE or she will get you lmao!!! My first week in class was a bit much, cause there is a lot thrown at you. But if you listen and pay attention… it’s so helpful. My trainer on the yard made the experience a blast!!! He got me so comfortable with the driving side of everything, to the point to where it’s hard to drive an automatic now. He taught me how to shift and downshift in a manual. Chad is the best!!! I am going to miss the school, but now that I had a great team to help me pass… it’s time to hit the road!!! Thank you so much 160 Driving Academy!!!!

It was as if I had undergone a transformation into an improved version of me. Prior to taking this course, my understanding of tractor trailers was nonexistent. My instructor Chad possesses the patience of Job and the calm demeanor necessary for such intricate instruction. He displayed passion and empathy towards each student's learning process making it clear that no two journeys are identical. Kudos to Chad & team!
