Fantastic experience: In my honest, humble and unbiased opinion, Roadmaster Drivers School is by far the BEST trucking school in the entire nation! Roadmaster is the Harvard, it is the Princeton, it is the Ivy League of all trucking schools! I graduated this month and I couldn't be more satisfied. The school's staff and instructors were outstanding! As long as you show up on time everyday to class and commit yourself, you will highly succeed here. Unlike Southwest, who offer financing through a third party, Roadmaster offers in house financing. I would highly recommend Roadmaster to anyone and everyone who wants to become a truck driver! Positive experience: So far, I like the school. Only issue I have is when people get a little to comfortable with political and social issues and views being discussed during class. Expressing that “a police officer pulling over a black man because he is black is complete b/s and never happens”, while mocking the actual thought is very disrespectful. Along with other non black students agreeing and making light of the subject didn’t make it any better. As a black person, along with other family members who have experienced police brutality on extreme levels, would never make light of anyone’s experiences.

Fantastic experience: This was a new chapter in my life and this was the best place to do it. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the instructors are top notch. You definitely get what you pay for. The powerhouse trucking sisters Eve and Randy are amazing to watch move vehicles around the pad. They are skilled, knowledgeable and fun to be around. Dave is a solid class instructor. He have real world experience in all his classes. Matthew is quiet but full of fun facts and good information about trucking. Mike, Anthony and Paul are fun to watch. They have a ton of knowledge to share. John is prcise and detailed when it comes to giving you the rules of the road. He is the absolute fount of knowledge when it comes to what you need to pass. Mary at the head of it all is welcoming and pleasant and knows her stiff inside and out. Fantastic experience: Has to be one of the best truck driver training schools that I've heard of when I went there everything was comprehensive the instructors explained everything in proper detail, was able to pass my tests with very high scores instead of just enough to get by and because of that I was able to transition into being an owner operator after only 3 years of driving I now make close to $200,000 a year when before truck driving school I couldn't even make 30 k, so thank you Mr Lehman Carlos the recruiter and my instructor Mr King.

Fantastic experience: My name is Christina Hickman (regrettably married last name lol) This is MY personal experience. I’ve been waiting to do this review, and it’ll be one of the longest ones I’ve ever done. I went through Amazon career choice, I chose Roadmaster from the others purely from the reviews and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This school is absolutely amazing! From day one sitting in Carlos’s office he sold me on becoming a truck driver lol, he was so helpful/friendly/extremely knowledgeable. Mary the head honcho lady is so welcoming/friendly/ and stern. She gets the job done and has one hell of a team to back her up. She is always there when needed and will treat you like a safe professional truck driver! From there came the day I started in the classroom, Dave is an amazing teacher and man in general. Very stern and serious but he will not hesitate to help you in any way. He has a way of teaching so each and every student is capable of learning at the same pace, you’ll retain so much information you’ll be shocked how well you’re doing. I have never done well in a class setting, book test but I aced this class. I was so proud of myself and I owe it all to Dave, I will miss my hugs/conversations with Dave and I hope to visit him in the future tell him all that I’m doing and hear how proud he is of me. Next was PTI(post trip inspection) with Mr.Paul and Matt, this part was intimidating there’s a lot to it, as long as you listen/help one another/take notes you’ll be surprised how much of that you’ll also retain in your brain. Both Paul and Matt made it fun each day and CONSTANTLY helped go over it all over and over again. These two men are so funny and extremely helpful. Always ask for help if you need it, because of them and my classmates especially Jordyn and Tyson I passed with a 100% blew my freakin mind! Next was time for my maneuvers, with instructors Randi/Eve/Anthony/Vince(also Matt/Dave)I have no words for this group of instructors..they ALL will go over and beyond for you. If you’re struggling with anything ask each one of them, something they say might be what clicks for you. They all just want the best for you and for you to succeed. Now you have Michael and John (also Anthony) who are the on the road instructors these guys deserve a medal or something I couldn’t put my life on the line lol they teach you everything you need to know about driving out in the real world (they do give you a lot of information and it can be overwhelming) but know this they will NEVER do anything to put you in harms way, they are watching everything like a hawk and you definitely want them to be the ones sitting in your passenger seat. Listen to everything they have to say and don’t be argumentative. If they didn’t believe in you you wouldn’t be the one sitting in the driver seat. Lastly for my experience, is Shaun (he and Anothny are state examiners/on the pad instructors) I was really intimidated by Shaun lol only because he was the only one I had yet interacted with or created some kind of bond with. But we got a moment in the office to finally speak lol we had a lot in common and I felt so much better, Shaun is a kick a** guy who is only there to help and keep you from loosing your shi* like I did on numerous occasions. He cared for me as a human being and helped me remind myself I GOT THIS. I’m sorry this is so long but each person at this school deserves so much more than a 5 star review. I will forever be grateful to every single one of them, I’ll remember all the tips, the pep talks when needed, the laughs/memories.I’ll never forget hearing YOU PASSED and pulling that air horn cord! I’ll miss all the friends I have made during my time there, hope to stay in touch with them, and see you all in the trucking future maybe at a fuel station or something

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster - Phoenix, AZ The greatest CDL school to go to. Class sizes aren’t too large where students don’t enough drive time or 1-on-1 training time with the instructors. The training pad is well paved, clean and clear, and flat, this allows for a consistent and reliable training ground. Fresh water is provided multiple times a day for all students. Restrooms are the cleanest restrooms that any trucker has ever seen. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that each student gets the highest quality training in each skill taught here. The staff is also very personable and human, they treat you like a person who wants to better their life and expand their skills by acquiring new knowledge- and take into consideration everyone’s different learning styles and pace. Should you need any accommodation- do not be afraid to ask. Mary and the staff will listen to what you have to say and try their best to give you what you need in order to be a safe, professional, and successful truck driver. Positive experience: My Roadmaster driving school experience as class #6 2024 was comprehensive. The initial weeks covered trucking basics, laws, and a detailed pre-trip inspection involving memorizing around 100 tractor and trailer parts. The emphasis on pre-trip inspection verbiage was crucial, and I quickly grasped its concepts. Weeks three and four concentrated on the skills required for the state test. The final two weeks were challenging due to a high student-to-instructor ratio, but this is somewhat expected in a bustling industry. Acknowledging the school's busy nature, all instructors, especially Randi, Paul, Vince, Michael, and John, were knowledgeable, respectful, and communicative. Their guidance played a pivotal role. Ultimately, success in obtaining a CDL depended on personal effort, putting in the work, listening, and asking questions. With dedication, anyone can achieve their CDL. Thank you to Roadmasters staff, state examiners, and instructors.

Negative experience: I went to roadmaster with prejob placements and promises of jobs from these places after graduation. None of these places can take me until beginning of summer and it's January. Unfortunately my bills can't wait that long so I was forced to take a minimum wage job here in my town and still have to pay the school an almost 3,000 dollar bill. It's really discouraging and stressful when you're put deeper in debt when you go to this school to try and get out of debt and better your life with promises of help from said school that has yet to come. I am now stuck a year with a minimum wage class b driving job. Thanks roadmaster for the lack of help and deeper debt just to better your schools name and not your students.

Fantastic experience: My name is Daniel and I'm recent graduate from Roadmaster. I have nothing but praise for Vince, Lyna, Chris, Dave, Dennis, Michael, John and (I'm missing one haha). There was an instructor there by the name Robert but thankfully he left sometime in October which good riddance as he was awful and had numerous complaints against him. Otherwise I feel like the staff there treated us with respect and that they were very easy to engage with. Lots of experience there and I would 100% recommend Roadmaster to someone interested in getting their CDL!

I personally appreciate everyone. My class mates were encouraging we all encouraged and supported one another. To all who are looking to get your CDL; you gotta put in the work no excuses. Stay up on the log books and study you pre trip parts. The In cab inspection is very important also study study study. Pay attention and interact and be ontime and you will do great. One and done!

Negative experience: If I could put 0 stars I would. If you are looking to get your cdl do not attend this School. I recommend you get your cdl elsewhere! They lock you in with automatics only and if you ever plan on working in the city you live in or for a company that pays far better than the companies they are attached too. You are going to need no restrictions on your license. As well as, while attending I had to report a trainer several times on how he treated women. The women in our class were too afraid to say what this trainer was saying and how they felt towards him. He would make sexist jokes and acted extremely unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Negative experience: I initially called and scheduled an appointment, prior to appt I called and spoke with a young lady to inquire if school had weekend classes, shortly after I received a call from a guy@ Carlos” who was like I called and I informed him yes as I called to inquire if there was Sat classes he starts rambling that he has lots of other people who would love to see the school, that if I don’t want to show jus let him know…. That their school is Harvard of truck driving, that they did have a Sat class but it was a failure, he jus went on and on in a very nasty manner, when I never said I would not make said appointment, but with first impressions!! that’s a HARD NO! NEVER !! Watch who you do business with & read reviews, people take the time to write a review means SOMETHING…

Negative experience: I completed my training at Roadmaster Drivers School as part of Class 30 in September 2023. During my time there, I noticed several issues that affected the overall experience. The school faced challenges related to overcrowded classes, a shortage of instructors, and limited practice time on the driving pad due to space constraints. Most of my classmates were Amazon Tom team associates, and the facility struggled to accommodate the high number of students. While the instructors were generally helpful and informative, many of them were new and still undergoing training themselves. Props to the instructors for their dedication, especially considering the challenging hot conditions they work in. One significant drawback was the limited time allocated for driving practice. I often had to wait for my turn, which meant I spent a substantial amount of time waiting around. On average, I only had the opportunity to drive for about 30 minutes each day. Which is equivalent to 2 drives per day if I was lucky. The school's facility constraints, as well as interruptions caused by state testing. Half of the pad was closed majority of the time for state testing. This situation significantly impacted my learning experience. My entire duration at the school, from July 24 to September 6, was primarily spent waiting for my turn to get behind the wheel and allowing the school to catch up on evaluating other students ahead of me. On a positive note, I would like to acknowledge Randy, one of the instructors, for her exceptional guidance. She provided clear instructions on how to maneuver the truck efficiently, which was greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: When looking for a truck driving school Roadmaster is by far one of the best CDL schools out there. Please keep in mind that you as the individual must be willing to put in effort and listen and take critical feedback or else improvement just simply won’t happen. I do strongly recommend before you attend get your Class A Permit along with your endorsements because it’ll be one less thing off the checklist to do even though endorsements are NOT required but still might as well complete them rather than later. The first week will be learning policy and procedures so take notes to better protect yourself. The second week is pre-trip inspection. I cannot stress enough to study the truck in every possible way because the sooner you learn the parts of the combination vehicle the sooner you can move to next section. Week 3 is learning to straight-line, offset, and parallel parking as well as on the road driving. Week 4 is polishing and taking the final. Ask questions to the instructors. Instructor Mary has words of wisdom that are like gold so listen and implement that feedback. Instructor John and Michael also provide hands on feedback while on the road so take it seriously. Instructor Shaun and Craig are really great at helping you correct the parking maneuvers. Also even if something is troubling you personally Ms Devon is an excellent source of support. To all those about to attend I wish you luck many opportunities will open with a CDL license.

Positive experience: I went to Roadmaster in April 2020 after coming from another school nearby that was a waste of time. So, I can compare and know what I am talking about. Roadmaster, one instructor to 4-5 students. Other, one instructor to 15-20 students. Roadmaster, the instructors want you to pass. Other, they could care less. Park your vehicle by the road and you can see what Roadmaster does. I made the mistake of going to Roadmaster with my cup half full because I went to the other school when it should have come with an empty cup. The manager, Devon, wants you to pass and will help you if you ask her. But when I went there it was $7000. It's a lot. If you could get the work grant of $4000 and you just pay $3000, it's worth it. If you decide that trucking is not for you then you just owe $3000 but you still have a cdl for other uses. Remember, Roadmaster is own by Werner. If they sponsor you, then you are "working" for them day one of the school. If you have a sponsor from another trucking company, then you make sure you get all the training that is on the contract you sign with them.

Fantastic experience: Overall I thought this was a great school. I didn’t like that the first week we had to fall behind because certain people didn’t have everything that they needed to so the whole class had to wait to move forward and learn. When it came to learning PTI- Dennis and Mary were amazing. I learned a lot from Mary because she always provided the why behind what we were doing. Dennis was always so kind and patient when I asked him a million questions. When it came to maneuvers, I worked with Shaun on offset and he was very patient. Craig was the best when it came to maneuvers, when you do something wrong he tells you it’s OK and we can just fix it going back. You’re over here freaking out that you’re messed up and he’s telling you it’s OK you got this he can still fix it and tells you how. Not everyone does that and that means the world. Truly when it comes to maneuvers he’s why I passed. Next, I drive with Michael- And it was a dream he told me what I did wrong but encouraged me and told me how to fix it And lastly I just want to talk about how amazing the school manager is Devon, any concerns I had I knew I could always come and talk to her. Any questions I had about my progress I can always talk to her. And I hope everyone else does too because she is truly the rock include that holds everything together

Mr. Craig is a Guru, he is patient ,crazy and always seems to know how to correct your mistakes and has a way of making you see what you are doing wrong and shows you how to correct it. Daniel is my guy kept me engaged and pushed me . The only two reason I didn’t give a five star is because I do believe we should have more time on pre trip and also skills and it was hot as HELL !!!! Fantastic experience: I graduated in class 50 Jan 2022. They recommended May Trucking and I have been doing great with them since Feb 2022.

Fantastic experience: THANK YOU ROADMASTER!!! Thank you for help with that critical step closer to realizing my goals and dreams of being a professional truck driver. I attended the Phoenix AZ school. EVERY staff member there was super helpful and easily approachable. Markko my recruiter was informative and helpful during enrollment. Devon the school manager was amazing, constantly busy but always had the time for any student that walked in and had a question. Robert the PTI king was the best at pre trip inspection and taught me a lot. The Backing instructors, Sean, Craig, and Danyel were Awesome. Knowledgeable, patient, and all had different teaching techniques. I learned a lot (more than I anticipated) from their different styles. Big Help! They are troopers to the core being out on the pad all day every day in the Phoenix sun. The driver trainers were a wealth of information and a huge help. Dennis, Dave, and Mike. I can't forget the Red shirts, Rich, Dale and Mary, The state certified CDL testers. Thank you to everyone at Roadmaster for what you do! I'll be stopping by to show you my new May Trucking Co. truck soon!

Negative experience: Don’t deal with them because everything they will told you at the beginning it’s different from the reality. Short instructions,attitude,they don’t have enough people to teach you. You will waiting 10every day to drive 2 times it’s mean you wait 10 hours a day under the sun to drive 30 minutes. The tuition payment it’s very expensive and it’s not worth it. The instructors super rude and they are garbage.

Fantastic experience: Loved my experience here. All the instructors took the time to teach everything in a way where we could understand. Danyel, made it fun to make the day go by faster and having a way where we knew what we were looking for. Craig made it easy to know how to maneuver the truck and use tips to get the truck where you needed it to be. Mary was EXTREMLY patient and let you mess up so you know how to fix your mistakes, like she says (LEfty loosy and Righty tighty) comes a long way and always works. Robert pre trip genius! He helped so much and he put it in a fun way where we could have FUN while explaining the parts on the truck. Devon was extremally helpful and knew where you needed to be to master skills. road or pre trip. She genuinely cares for everyone who is her student there. Dennis was so helpful and made you feel relaxed so you can focus on passing your test. Dale explained the road so perfectly and made sure you understood how the truck works on the road. like he says have RESPECT for the truck NOT FEAR. I always remember that when I am behind the wheel. Lynn was so helpful having one and one when you are struggling on a skill and explains it to where we can understand the skill and what too look for. I am so thankful for everyone who helped me through this journey. Most importantly everyone there wants you to pass and they do everything in there POWER to make that happen. I would HIGHLY RECCOMMEND ROADMASTER!

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience with roadmaster during my time learning and training here. My Recruiter markko was fantastic he help with the process of enrolling and was very helpful and supportive. Ms devin was great person that helped you out was very kind and understanding. Ms lynn was a great teacher she was very helpful both in class and outside class as well i loved having her. The front desk lady help with all my questions and paperwork process as well. Monica was very kind and helpful with the whole werner process as well. Daniel, dave, david,mary, robert,dennis dave, rich,and Craig were all helpful and caring and patience with the whole learning process and thanks to everyone on here i was able to graduate and be able to start on my new career. I would love to thank them all from the bottom of my heart. It was a long , short emotional ride with roadmasters. I thank you all for what you have done for me and Im glad i choose your school. I will recommend you to everyone that wants to get their cdl for years to come. I wish you all the best and take care and once again thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here at Roadmaster. Leslyn was very helpful, gave me great advice and instructions on how to get better at my skills. Daniel is great he makes learning fun and makes the day go by faster with good vibes. Craig is one of the coolest, makes you laugh and simplifies the backing maneuvers. Mary is vibrant with a youthful spirit and has great tips on precision and getting the truck in its place. Dennis is dope on the road, super chill makes you feel comfortable and is there to help. Robert is the Pre-Trip King, has all the game for you to be knowledgeable about the truck. Devon has great energy from the first roll call to the last roll call and throughout the whole day. Dale is pretty cool and there to help and gives great advice.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic school, Markko helped me to get enrolled, Lynn taught me the theory, Robert taught me everything on pretrip, Danyel, Craig, Mary, and Dave are great instructors, and Dave and Dale taught me roadskills. Devon is a great manager, and I'm proud to say I completed the course and passed my State exam no problem. There is an amazing team of instructors at this school! Thank You Roadmaster!!!!!

Positive experience: I can tell you this journey has been a long road if it was not for Robert I would not have graduated he kept me grounded and talked me off the ledge so much thanks for him and Craig Craigs maneuvers and viewpoints worked out awesome and Mary she definitely makes you accountable for what you do she’s like that Toughlove type of lady if you don’t get it she will make you get it, and most def not the least Dennis he really made me feel like I could be a truck driver traffic check traffic check lol and one more check , Mr bobble head really chill guy he made a difference with me big time he’s a human being on top of an instructor the chair method really let you know when you need to open your eyes I loved it great guy great teacher again roadmaster got me to where I wanna be it took an act of congress for me to stay w my home life affected but I made it through thank you Robert✅ Great guy really empathized w my situation Most of all thank you Craig Thanks bro for your points of view and priceless info everything around you as a clue I loved it✅✅ and Dennis✅✅✅ Great guy and really wants to help you learn where some just want to do their job ….And Mary your Toughlove helped me realize how to fix my mistakes or not make them LOL thank you so much roadmaster Worth the confidence to drive a big truck after that you learn with experience as with anything in life

Fantastic experience: Both david instructors are great, reason being is because they let you display your skill set and knowledge and then give you your feed back on your strength and weakness and guide you right. Fantastic experience: I am proud to say that I'm glade I chose Roadmaster Before chosing Roadmaster as my school of choice I compared them to many other driving schools and did my research as well as visiting many of them . And none of the other schools compared to roadmaster.. Not only is the atmosphere great the staff gives you a feeling of family.. they are there with you every step of the way.. Their form of training is easy to fallow and understand . The whole experience with roadmaster was fun none the less.. they are patient and understand to all forms of learning.. And they really want to see you make it into the world of truck driving. You feel that with out them even having to say it .... So I would like to say thanks to roadmaster for getting me to my CDLs...
