Since 1999, Southwest Truck Driver Training has offered CDL training to prepare drivers for an exceptional career in trucking. Our programs include Class A CDL, Class B CDL, a Refreshers Course for returning CDL drivers, and RV driving.

Southwest Truck Driver Training is an independent trucking school, not owned by a trucking company. Why does that matter? We are student-focused and not worried about filling up our trucks.

We also provide financial aid and career assistance to students to help them in finding the job placement they want.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about SWTDT. After leaving a nearby school for abhorrent practices, I was so relieved to see that SWTDT was not anything like that. Their instructors actually care about their students doing well. The facilities are very nice. I never felt bad for asking a question and the answers my instructor, Lori, provided were concise, accurate and confidence-inspiring. My examiner Dave was professional and very fair during the testing process. By the end of the instruction, I was so ready to take my exam, I can honestly say I was excited. Just make sure you pay attention and ask questions. Stay off your phone and take advantage of the valuable time you get with the instructors. Very highly recommend this school for your CDL.

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best choices I’ve ever made to go to this school never thought I would get my CDL but thanks to Jorge he was a great instructor, patient with you and able to make me feel comfortable and confident to be able to learn and easy to explain things to understand it all and thanks to Tom my examiner that I didn’t feel pressured and able to do my driving test with easy and I would recommend this school to anyone that wants to get their CDL

Negative experience: I started school in October paid all my balance and still don’t have my license in December. They pushed me to test and failed me and then dropped me. If you’re interested in getting your CDL call MG truck driving school in Glendale . They have English and Spanish classes they are patient and helpful. Southwest’s was only helpful when I was paying. At least return the half of money I pay

Fantastic experience: My husband got his A from here 16 years ago. Everyone was great. The only issue was carmine. He well let's just say not rapped to tight. Other then that great school.
