Welcome to J&S Truck Bus Driving School, a licensed and experienced driving school located in East Elmhurst, New York. Since 2014, we have been dedicated to training aspiring drivers, providing top-notch education that adheres to FMCSA and NYC regulations.

At J&S, we recognize that each student has unique requirements, which is why we offer a wide range of courses including CDL (Class A) for tractor-trailers, CDL (Class B-P/S) for passenger or school buses, (Class M) for motorcycles and scooters, and (Class D) for passenger cars. Our goal is to prepare students to obtain their licenses efficiently and quickly.

We feature a unique driving simulator and a training yard equipped with three 10-speed manual tractor-trailers and two automatic ones, all of the same year, make, and model, allowing students to practice in conditions closely resembling real-world scenarios. This approach facilitates focused and effective learning.

We take pride in offering a rigorous training program that includes pre-trip inspections and specialized techniques such as double clutch shifting using RPM and MPH. Our students not only earn their licenses but also acquire skills that enhance their lives.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my CDL Class A Road Test, and I owe it all to J&S! Coming in with no prior experience driving trucks—or even using a manual stick shift—I’m thrilled to say I’m now confident in both. My trainer, Joe, was exceptional. As a highly skilled driver with a certified instructor’s license, he guided me step by step from beginner to advanced skills. Joe’s teaching methods were clear, thorough, and incredibly effective. He provided exclusive pre-trip inspection materials, which were invaluable in helping me understand and master the pre-trip portion of the DMV CDL Road Test. Joe also trained me on pre-trip inspections, backing, offside parking, parallel parking, and driving a manual transmission. His patience and expertise made all the difference. For anyone considering J&S, I highly recommend investing in their most comprehensive package if you’re new to trucking. Take your time and don’t rush—driving trucks is a significant responsibility. I started my courses in late August and just passed my road test in full, thanks to their excellent training. The office staff is there to help. They are friendly and work with you to get a schedule to works for you. The office was so amazing, they were able to get my rpad test appointment on my day off from work, which can be a difficult task as the dmv provodes the schedules on their own without giving you the option. A quick note: the actual driving school is at a different location from their office, but it’s conveniently located next to the Q25 MTA bus line, which you can access from Flushing Main Street Station. Thank you to the amazing office staff and instructors at J&S for helping me achieve this milestone!
