Negative experience: Having dirt raced for many years I was disappointed that the car wouldn't start in gear without jumping, with the clutch to the firewall as if clutch was going out. I was told not to pass a slower car on the back stretch and was instructed to "hold my position". Wanted to schedule a longer duration but skeptical after my experience. I just wanted to experience the ultimate experience but they prevented me from doing that. Mark Smith

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous when my car hit the track, but very quickly the adrenaline rush kicked in and I put the the pedal to the floor, and with the assistance of the voice in my helmet, I raced around the track at 135 mph. It was one of the most exhilarating feelings I ever had. The only other time I felt that way was after the first time I saw Jimi Hendrix in concert.

Positive experience: Had an 8am start time for Sat May15 for the Andretti experience. Went through the short class with the NASCAR guys and then went out to go. The entire 8AM class and much of the 9AM Nascar class went before I got in the car. Did not get in the car until after 10:15!! Bought Sat tickets for the 4 wide NHRA event and picked the 8am start time on purpose to get over when the gates opened for NHRA. Was late to that due to the 2 hour wait to get in the car.. When asked to talk to someone after it was over I was just shuffled along to the racer checkout and never allowed to speak to anyone!! Experience was great, but staffing and management was pitiful, especially when you pay almost $650!!! Update: Was contacted by Tyler from the company and was able to make things right again. Easy communication, hopefully next time will be 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Great, thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience!! Friendly, very professional staff and operation. Handled my aged and infirmed family with smooth and caring professionalism, and all of us had a SUPER time. Highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: I purchased tickets for my husband's birthday over a year ago. It was cancelled in 2019 due to rain. Then I rescheduled for his bday this year and COVID19 cancelled it. Rescheduled for April but cancelled again due to COVID19. Finally we were able to go today. It was worth the wait. My husband had such an amazing experience and we decided to add the video to capture the memories. Tyler went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our experience was worth it. The entire staff was amazing I just want to recognize Tyler because he went the extra mile for us. Thank you guys so much for all you do!!!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible! Surprised my nephew with this while we were on a tour of the track and the staff absolutely made his day by arranging for him to ride in #24, his favourite. Double-surprise when I told his dad that he was going as well. Both were speechless afterwards. Can't say enough about the friendly staff and drivers. An amazing experience!

Negative experience: It was the worse experience I ever had. It rained the day we were supposed to go, Instead of group one going first then second group etc, they cancelled our groups and had the later ones race. It should have gone the other way. So now I have to try and get my boys together next year to try again. It was their valentine gift. Very disappointed and will NEVER recommend it to anyone! The only reason it got a one star is that it wouldn't post with zero

Fantastic experience: Bought a ride along for my Dad for Father's Day last year. (Kentucky Speedway) He had an absolute blast, there was no wait, and the driver was very friendly. Due a previous stroke, my Dad wasn't able to hop into the car easily, but the staff helped him in and out. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Can't wait to do it myself!

Fantastic experience: I purchased two ride a long tickets for my grandson and my son-in-law for Christmas. They had a wonderful time and kept telling me how awesome it was for them. I am so glad I found out about this and would do it again. Maybe next time I will buy myself a ticket.

Fantastic experience: Great time driving. Friendly and helpful staff. Daughter and wife also took a ride-a-long. Bought a driving experience for my son, but he wasn't able to be present the days that were scheduled at Concord, NC.

Positive experience: It was good but the helmet ended up not being a tight fit & kept sliding down over my eyes - They wouldn't call me in!!! Make sure you get a real tight helmet if you go. Also the video they try to sell you is a rip off - doesn't even have sound

Fantastic experience: Got this package for my son for a Christmas present, then went with him to Charlotte. He absolutely loved the experience and so did I. He has said it was the best present he ever got -- and still talks about it to all his friends.

Fantastic experience: well worth the discounted price at Kentucky speedway it was just fantastic loved it , cars are turned down a little slow compared to chicago and same size track, set at just over 150 mph, chicage was set at 170 mphbut yes would do it again for sure nothing like it . A-plus

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was great the staff was tops. As a former police officer it was a reminder of my time on the streets of Louisville,KY… I think everyone should try this.

Negative experience: It rained the day we were supposed to drive at Charlotte Motor Speedway so we couldn't drive. We couldn't reschedule in their timeframe so we last all our money including the ride alongs I purchased for my daughter and her husband. DON'T DO THIS UNLESS YOU CAN GUARANTEE THE WEATHER. A RIPOFF.....

Positive experience: My family got this for me for a Father's Day. The ride itself was great. The staff and the driver were wonderful from the first minute. My only disappointment is that it is advertised as 3 laps which is technically true. BUT this first lap is getting up to speed for the first half or more and the last lap is mostly slowing down from 180 mph to a stop at the end. You only get one full lap at full speed which was disappointing. I know you can get more but you also have to pay more. Just my thoughts.

Fantastic experience: Richard Petty Driving Experience, Dover International raceway ,Dover DE. 6/27/2018. Arrived at Raceway was driven to the to sign in desk {infield}along with other potential drivers by van. Lady was very nice and reassuring as she seen I was nervous at check in. Photos, video in car were offered as add on at check in if desired. I took the in car video option to prove to friends I actually did it. Attended drivers orientation and instructor was very clear and informative and funny as he could see several men and women were nervous ,to lighten the mood. I highly suggest knowing how to drive manual shift if wanting to experience this, but I think automatics were available? One lady couldn't drive a manual and she was in car behind me in line and on the track with no problem. Got suited up and went to final suit and helmet check. Everyone was nice and helpful. I am 68 years old and a bit non flexible but the guys on the car line up were very helpful getting me in the car. Everything was done to ensure my safety including a spotter on the pit road to warn of any wayward cars approaching. Got a Ford Fusion #35 was hoping for a Toyota but cars were sized and adjusted for body size and the Ford was my size. Strapped in and Hans device on helmet radio check with my spotter and I was set loose. Guided every foot by my spotter on helmet radio. I had an 8 lap ride and first 2 laps were track orientation and gathering speed again constantly guided by my spotter. 4 laps in I am feeling at ease now and they cut me loose for 120mph. I got carried away and hit the rev limiter{twice} but enjoyed every fast foot of the experience even though it was 92 degrees outside,about 120 degrees in the car. Gained a new found respect for the NASCAR drivers. Most fun I had in my life!! Ride at 120mph came all to quick to an end. Spotter was great keeping me safe and line crew very helpful getting me in and out of the car. I want to do Daytona and possibly an Indy car in the future. I am hooked!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great time helping my friend celebrate his 70th Birthday here! Since he is a NASCAR fan, he got me by a few MPH!! hahaha. They can even accommodate people that cannot drive manual transmissions, I was surprised to watch the procedure!.

Fantastic experience: Most Exciting Experience of My Life!!! 172 MPH - me driving the IndyCar!!! So... I am 100% an adrenaline junky. I've gone sky diving several times, jumped off the Stratosphere Tower, white water rafting, driven a trophy truck (rally), monster truck, helicopters with no doors, climbed 150' cliffs, repelling, jet skis, water skiing, wake boarding, snow board all black diamonds, skiing, snowmobiles, skateboarding, BMX, downhill bikes, roller blading, jumped off of ~40' bridges and cliffs into water, etc. I also have a ~10,000 watt electric bike that can do 70mph. This is not me trying to brag, just saying that I seek out experiences that pump me full of adrenaline! And I can say that, without a doubt, THIS racing experience was the most exciting/fun thing I've ever done!!! It's now 3 days later and I'm just still on a high from this experience. I mean I've been thinking about it so much that literally (seriously, not joking), I DREAMED ABOUT IT! I've been non-stop smiling for 3 days straight just thinking about it. I did the driving practice where they let you DRIVE an IndyCar for ~5 minutes. I had actually done the ride-along first in a different location a couple weeks back so I had a good idea of what these cars can do and the line to follow. Because of that, I really pushed this car to it's limits and because I was making good lines, the spotter bumped my RPM's up a notch and by driving JUST under the limiter (where it chokes out), I was able to hit 172MPH!!! My brother, 2 sisters and sisters boyfriend did the ride along experience in the 2-seater IndyCar and they also had the times of their lives! A couple of them got the videos and it's awesome to see how much they're smiling the entire time :) We're all going to go back - some for another ride-along and others to drive. Bottom line: everyone I was there with had a blast and I had one of the most exciting experience of my life. I am absolutely doing this again... but next time, I'm going "all out" and getting the Checkered Flag experience - not the top-tier experience but it's up there.

Fantastic experience: This was a wonderful experience to drive an actual NASCAR at high speeds with no fear of a ticket! The staff was very pleasant to work with, no pressure for any add-ons but, they were available if desired. I was even able to get my Son a ride-along that day while I was driving. With a driving coach talking to you through from start to finish, you are on your own but, always have help if needed. Good time!

Fantastic experience: Best fun I've had on 4 wheels. I've driven Charlotte, Richmond and Darlington with the NASCAR racing experience. I plan to drive as many tracks as I can. Winston Cup racing and the drivers who made it great are gone. This is as close as I can get to remembering how much fun it use to be!

Positive experience: I did the experience at the Daytona track, and was blown away. I had done an experience at the Charlotte track several years ago , and it was enjoyable. The Daytona drive was much better. I joined the 150 MPH club. I'd love to do a drive at Talledega track next time. Can't wait.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. The wait was extremely long, and the individual assigning cars was .... let's just say he was not bright. We went through the training and got in line. My whole group was done and other groups were being called ahead of me, as I'm standing in the suit they put you in, sweating. I'm 6'3", 240 lbs. I thought he was waiting for an opening in one of the larger cars. Wrong. When I was called I would not fit in the car. This was not just my imagination, the employees helping get people into the car said to each other, "why does he keep sending big people over to this this small car?" [When I say a large car, I mean the spacing in the seat and steering wheel, etc.] So back in line I went, waiting for a larger car. Even more waiting. Finally got a car with more interior space. It was still very tight in terms of the leg space and ability to operate the pedals (legs were uncomfortably bent, knees to the side of the steering wheel). So away I went. They said that for first-time drivers the chip would only limit us to a certain rpm. Fair enough, but I didn't realize how painfully slow that was. Bottom line, it was a struggle to not constantly hit the chipped rev limit, and even so I hit it several times. I spent the entire time focused on the tachometer and my right foot, it was not nearly as enjoyable as it could have been if I had been focused on the driving. I think I was just short of 150 mph on average, it was 149.something mph according to the certificate. Far too slow to even worry about any fun aspect of driving given the car's capabilities relative to the track, absolutely no skill required at that pace. Even so, the track driving was moderately fun, despite the dumbed-down low speeds the chip allowed. Even if Google allowed a 0-star rating, I'd still give this 1 star just for the experience of getting out on a new (to me) track. Bottom line: NOT WORTH THE MONEY (even with the low group rate we got), primarily because of how poorly the activity is run, but also because of how small all the cars are (even the "big" ones) and because of how painfully slow the cars go with the novice chip setting. If the only issue was the chipped rpm limit I'd consider going back, to enjoy more speed. But that was not the main issue.

Negative experience: Buyer beware when you purchase the Mario Andretti driving experience, it may take YEARS before you get to drive! Check their policy before you buy. A friend and I purchased this experience for our husbands. We bought it to use at Louden on a summer Saturday. When we got there the first time the weather was not great. We were supposed to drive at noon. When we got there at 11:00, no one had gone yet (e.g., the 9, 10 or 11 o'clock people). Everyone was waiting around. They were hoping the weather would clear. We waited more than an hour and then they cancelled. Not their fault, it was the weather. Next time we could book it was the next summer as they only come once per year. Booked for the next year on a Saturday. In March they called to reschedule for a weekday in May. Before it happened they called again to reschedule to August and they wanted us to do it on a Friday. I knew they were doing it Friday and Saturday and asked for Saturday. They said we could reschedule for a $50 fee! I argued with them, as this was the third time they had rescheduled us, and they made it for the Saturday at 9. A few weeks before, we got called again, and they moved our time to 12 with no explanation. When we got there we got delayed due to rain but did end up going. We had a noon appointment and did not get out of there until 3:30! Our friend got called in the first group and waited at least 1 and 1/2 hours as they kept skipping him. My husband was not called in the first group but was then called unexpectedly and went first. Who knows why. It was fun but, they need to get their act together in the front office. Their no refund policy is ridiculous as you are totally at their mercy and they yank you around all over the place. The few minutes of driving is not really worth all the angst to get there and get it done.

Negative experience: Our experience at the Charlotte Speedway was horrible. My husband went through all the classes and prep and got suited up was waiting his turn went the race track owner decided to close the track for the rest of the day for a marathon race. Our family came to Charlotte specifically for the weekend to do this. Very disappointed!

Positive experience: Overall experience was disappointing....Staffed by hillbillies. Rain delays are not their fault but a 3 hour delay is excessive. Reschedule sooner with free upgrades? Not a single food vendor open within the speedway. My appointment was at noon, I drove 8 minutes and left the track at 4pm. The spotter (Rookie Experience) communicated via headset in my helmet, criticized every lap for minor stuff, like not staying on marked path, calling me "BuddY" the whole time, after they had asked me to give them a name to use. I asked for "Thomas". Hotter than Hades in a fire suit in July for hours. No seats offered in a/c but they did hand out a free mini bottle of water during my wait.

Negative experience: bought a racing experience for my boyfriend for Christmas and scheduled it so the actual "race" would take place on his birthday weekend. he had been dying to do something like this for a long time and i thought it would be a great gift for him and we could make it a weekend getaway for us and our 2 kids. I spent hundreds of dollars on the actual experience, and the hotel, and everything. then we had a 5 hour drive to the hotel. when we got to the track ready for the experience we were told that it wasnt there. i called the andretti racing experience and they told me they sent an email that it had been cancelled. after searching my email i have yet to find it. we were so upset and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and then said it was ok because they had given me a "store credit". your store credit isnt going to give me back my wasted weekend or all the other money i spent . now i have this store credit for company i dont trust and dont think i will be brave enough to schedule another disastrous weekend. they had my phone number , my email, my mailing address and you supposedly sent me ONE email that never made it too me. they could have sent a letter or a call or even another email as they obviously hadnt gotten a response from the first one. i wouldnt recommend this to anyone and have made sure everyone i know knows about this nightmare .

Fantastic experience: Was a wonderful experience. I have run at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Talladega. The staff that help with this event is awesome! If you haven't had the experience I would encourage to try it.

Fantastic experience: My best friend and I did this last summer at MIS. A great birthday present from him. Really fun. An experience I won't forget. Drivers and staff were friendly and efficient.

Fantastic experience: My husband bought me this experience because he knew it was on my bucket list. The staff on the track was awesome, as were the spotters in my earpiece. There's not a lot of instruction so you need to be ready to get behind the wheel when you get there if you do the Rookie. My husband got some great pictures. Highly recommended if this is on your list too.

Positive experience: This was such a fun experience. I had a great time. The only thing I wish is that we got an actual 3 laps of track speed. Once you pull out and get up to speed that's lap one, then one full speed lap, then they slow to come to pit road again. Again, smiles from ear to ear the whole time in the car, just would be great to have a few more moments of full speed!

Fantastic experience: Two years in a row I bought driving experiences for my husband for his birthday. The first year a ride along, the 2nd year a driving. He loved them both!!!!! Has recommended them to numerous friends

Positive experience: The ride itself, on the track at Daytona, was absolutely fantastic, and well worth the price. The wait for the ride was unacceptable. It should be easy to balance the tickets sold with the rides available, especially since everything is sold ahead of time and with a time stamp on the ticket. Unfortunately, it seems they oversell and the result is a long wait (over two hours before they stated they would not be able to accomodate the folks in line and sent us away during speed week), but again over an hour when I rescheduled on the following "normal" Friday. Best advice is to book an early ride so the line doesn't have a chance to grow. Booking a double ride (with additional cost) also allows you to skip to the front of the line. The line forms in the hot sun, so wear sunscreen (they were providing it for free to those in line).

Positive experience: The ride along experience in itself was great. The wait time was awful. We had a 1 o'clock track time and didn't get to run until after 3:30. Weather had originally delayed things but I think they overbook from the start.

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience that both myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst it is not cheap it is well worth the money. To be able to be driven at speed around a NASCAR circuit high up the banking was breathtaking. To be surrounded by the noise, smell and heat gives you a true understanding of what the drivers go through during a race. There was an option to drive yourself but these were not allowed to go go up the banking so I do feel the option to be driven around is the better one to get the true thrill

Fantastic experience: Had a Great Time at the Texas Speedway. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The weather was great. I had the track all to myself, perfect, no one to slow me down. My goal was 160 mph..!!!!!!! I surpassed my goal. I hit a Top Speed of...................168.97 mph !!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to come back again, I must beat my own speed. My new goal is ....................175 mph. Not bad for a 65 year old. EH !!!!!!! Yes I live in Canada. Keep up the good work down there.

Negative experience: I attended the Richard Petty Driving experience in August 2018 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The experience was excellent. Because the in car video malfunctioned I was given a voucher for another race experience which was very good customer service. I chose to go to Richmond International due to its proximity to my home. Again the experience was amazing. The track was not as much fun as Charlotte in my opinion, but its still getting to drive a race car over 100 mph so it was great. I got a video of my in car driving and it was played back to me and everything was good. However, when I got home and attempted to play the video for my children there was nothing there to view. It is that reason and that reason only I have rated two stars, otherwise it was most certainly a 5 star experience. The event was well run and everyone that works there acted very professionally and made the experience very enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I did my experience at Daytona. Let me tell you, getting out on those big banked corners in a fast car was a dream come true for me. I did four, 8 lap sessions, getting a little bit faster every time. My spotter was great and got me on a little bit better racing line, which helped me maximize my speed on the last set of laps. I truly enjoyed the entire experience which ran like clockwork. If you are on the fence, just do it! You won't regret it!

Negative experience: The Texas Motor Speedway cancelled ALL track usage due to Icy Road Conditions. So, I expected to be able to reschedule our session over the phone as a normal, reasonable operation would allow for their customers to do. OH NO ! This outfit told me over the phone we had to be present at the track to reschedule. Not Right ! So we drove for over 2 hrs. to get there.... Putting our LIVES and VEHICLES at RISK, Wasting our Time, Wasting our Gas when this situation should have been handled over the phone !! Making people drive for several miles on DANGEROUS ICY ROADS is NOT GOOD BUSINESS and JUST PLAIN NOT RIGHT ! One Lady who we met there FLEW IN FROM OUT OF TOWN just to reschedule ! I'm sure this company makes ALOT OF $$$ off of "NO SHOWS" A REAL RACKET ! BEWARE ! When we came for the reschedule time.... We told them we wanted to do the Ride-A-Long FIRST, THEN go for the Solo!! They didn't let us do that either! So they stuck us as First-Timer's doing Solo... I did make it to 149.7 without blowing the Governor on the last lap!! Which was great but , for the first few laps I had to gauge and weigh things out before I was comfortable.... By then, then the session was almost over... If they would have let us do the Ride-Along FIRST... At least we could have had a "FEEL" for the Track ! BS

Negative experience: Drove at Chicagoland for the 5th time. Always have a great time. Unfortunately last experience was disappointing. Cars chips (rev limiters) set so low was impossible to go more than 100mph. Timed several other cars just to make sure & yep...hit chip around 100mph. My street car would do better. Was told if you signed up for longer drive times you would be given faster cars. What??? ALWAYS hit 150mph with no problems previously! But this drive didn't stack up to previous ones. Audio was bad. Difficult to hear. Very basic orientation. Staff great as always. No complaints there. But won't drive this one again or recommend. Usually very crowded on Father's Day but wasn't. Wondered if this was why?

Fantastic experience: This is a great experience! My husband and I did this years ago so this year we decided to give the ride-along experience to our son as one of his birthday gifts. Our 11yr old can't wait until he's able to do this after seeing his older brother do it now!

Fantastic experience: Loved my time in the NASCAR. I will be back to try the open wheel next. The people operating the event we're really a fun group. They knew the ratio of fun and serious. After all you can really get hurt playing with these toys. I did the max sessions I could. If you can swing it, you should. You can really feel what it's like. I wished for more power at the end of course. The guy on the radio was great, he said it's an amusement ride not going to let you splat yourself. LoL Made perfect sense. Fun to be part of the 150MPH club too.

Positive experience: Really enjoyed riding at 180, or whatever, at Daytona. Wish I could do it again soon. Amazed at how the tires held the car in the turns with the incredible G Forces.

Positive experience: The girl who checked us in didnt know what she was doing which almost cost us $100. I paid for double laps and almost didnt get it because she didnt give us the tag we needed for it. But the rest of the staff were awesome. I also paid for the video package and our equipment malfunmalfunctioned and didnt record, so we got to go again. I'd recommend it. But the packages are definitely overpriced. Next time we wouldnt buy any add-ons

Negative experience: I Got my driving experience from my wife and kids as a Christmas present 12/2017. In January of 2018 I scheduled my drive for a weekend in July. Well the summer of 18 it seemed to rain 9 out of 10 weekends. It was raining that morning I was to drive and the forecast even called for a total wash out but due to the risk of losing my time we drove the 2.5 hours each way to the track in Dover. I got an e-mail canceling the days rides as we sat at the track waiting to get in. What a waste of my and my extended families time! So I went to reschedule a summer date in 2019. No luck! due to construction at the track there won't be any rides this summer. So I have about a large sum of money in a gift card that I just can't seem to use. I'd just prefer a cash refund at this point!!

Fantastic experience: I was given a package at Talladega as a gift. I arrived at the track for the scheduled drive, and wow what an experience. You are treated very well and then you get in a race car and drive the track! Yes, if you do well they continually allow you to go faster and faster. I was able to go 160 mph around the speedway, and yes you do need to drive the car! Wow I cant believe they let people loose on the track in their cars.

Positive experience: I had a great time and what an experience to drive Daytona. BUT when I went to get my picture, plaque and video I never received the video back from the trailer. The first person I dealt with at NASCAR Racing Experience was accommodating and was asking around trying to find the video, but then it was given to some else and I was told there was nothing they could do, not even refund the price of the video.

Fantastic experience: What a HOOT!!! My daughter got this drive for me knowing my love of racing through my 74 years. At 6 ft 270, I was afraid I'd have problems getting in and out but they picked me a car that was reasonably easy to access and the driver's seat fit me perfectly. I think my spotter, a great communicator, let me make 11 or 12 laps and I was never passed by any car other than the pro giving rides. I did pass 3 or 4 cars myself. My speed was 114 mph and I clearly would like to go back for 115 mph.

Positive experience: We went to Richmond Raceway and the directions should have been better. Found the track but directions should have indicated to go to the main entrance. We arrived at 12:15 for a 1:00 appointment. My son didn't get in the car until 3:00. Said they were overwhelmed by the number of drivers but they schedule how many drivers there are at each appointment. He had a wonderful experience driving and it was fun to watch him but just wish it was a little more organized.

Positive experience: Rev. limiters are used to keep people from wrecking the cars, but it takes a lot away from the driving experience. On my eight-lap drive the forward-facing camera in the car was aimed too high--all I can see in the video is the catch-fence. Make sure you take a good look at the video before you purchase it!!

Fantastic experience: It was awesome !! One of the best gifts my family has given me.To experience a real stock car help to satisfy my need for speed.

Fantastic experience: Every time we get to go to a track and enjoy the track and race is Awesome! Our last track was Texas and I have to say it's true everything is bigger in Texas!!

Fantastic experience: went with my grandson we had two separate cars enjoyed the ability to drive on a race car track over 120mph where you can really appreciate how actual nascar drivers feel when going 200mph+. I felt apprehensive getting too close to car in front of me, eventually that feeling went away and was able to enjoy the experience more. if you ever have the opportunity to go on the richard petty experience do it you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed only that it has to end.

Positive experience: I had a good experience and the people were extremely helpful and friendly. Daytona track is a great track to experience driving around a high bank track. My only gripe would be the limit of the RPM of the car. (5000rpm) The car seemed to struggle at this RPM, which limited my speed. They said my top speed was 150mph. I didn't believe it because of how the car struggled at the 5000rpm limit. I would have given 5 stars if this wouldn't have been the case with the car.

Fantastic experience: I had driven this package at Talladega Speedway in the recent past and, hands down, it was the most exhilarating experience I've ever had! The staff, from the introduction, through the training and on the track, were friendly and helpful and well experienced. I surprised my wife on her 35th birthday with the same package I bought, 6 laps on that awesome track! We were going camping above Talladega and I told her I wanted to stop by the museum at the Speedway for a quick visit, it worked out great! She would tell you the same thing with an emphasis on exhilarating! It was the best $400 I've ever spent. You got to do this!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Gift was purchased as a retirement gift. Day of event, several family members attended to watch the recipient race. Event was disorganized. Recipient was supposed to have double drive time, but only received half of the time. Waited for a long time to get someone to help. After they reviewed tapes, they realized he didn't get his allowed drive time. They wanted him to suit up again and wait to get another turn. This was unacceptable. Unfortunately $600 on a gift was wasted. Recipient and family spectators were all disappointed and cannot recommend this experience.

Fantastic experience: The driving experience was one off the bucket list for sure. It was something surreal to sit in the car at 170 miles per hour. Next time, more laps, or driving the car myself. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Negative experience: Bad experience with management. Kept we waiting for two hours for the first when it was raining and then postponed after multiple requests. In the next appt kept me waiting for hour and then when my turn came sent another person who was back me. When I confronted the management does not respond politely.

Fantastic experience: I've done 3, 8 minute experiences and loved every minute of it. It would be cool to learn more of the technical aspects of the cars, the set-ups and more general information. I've been a NASCAR fan for over 55 years. I also, would like to drive the Indy style care as well.

Negative experience: My wife bought me this as a present. It is difficult to schedule as times are very limited. Twice I scheduled the drive months in advance and twice they called me the day before to cancel because of the threat of rain. I had to wait a year to reschedule as all the times for the current year were used up. I scheduled a drive in NH. I live in NJ 4 hours away. There was a threat of rain so I called to move it because I did not want to make an 8 hour round trip for nothing. They told me that I could not change the day. That was in 2018. I never found out because they never called me whether or not it was rained out. My wife wasted $500 for nothing. This is very bad in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: The best day of my life! (Don't tell my husband and kids, they think births and weddings were better) My driving experience actually was a great family day out. It was my 50th birthday gift from my husband and my oldest daughter, her husband and 3 children accompanied me. The Richard Petty Driving Experience crew had something exciting for all of us. I had my lifetime dream of driving over 165MPH at Talladega, including a preliminary ride-along to show me the ropes. There were laps around the track for the kids in a van. They were ages 5, 8 and 11 so this was exciting for them. While I was waiting my turn to drive we decided to treat daughter and son-in-law to an early Christmas gift if ride-along laps as well. Even my husband, who is not a race fan, decided to try a ride-along and was smiling ear to ear! My own drive was the big deal. Hubby purchased the DVD from the in-car camera so I can re-live the drive regularly also. And I hear myself once again saying, "I can't believe I'm driving Dale Earnhardt's lane." The biggest thing everyone should know is that the Racing Experience staff are some of the nicest, most helpful folks on the planet. They really make this experience the 5 STAR thing it is. The people who work for the company earn 5 STARS in every area.

Positive experience: I got this as a Christmas present for my husband, he had so much fun driving the stock car. I would have given it 5 stars except for the price. I suggest that you give more than a hat and jump drive with a video of him driving. At least they could have afforded to let him keep the Nascar lanyard he had to wear while driving. I love Nascar but that was actually pretty cheap of them not to allow that.

Positive experience: Had a great time. The instruction was good and the spotter allowed me to perform at my best. The bad, we ordered a video and when we got home all excited to show our friends it would play but was not clear enough to see what was really happening. I phoned and expressed by disappointment and was told they could not do anything about it. Very disappointed. They did not offer any thing that would ease the pain. I understand they could not offer me another ride, but they could have offered a refund for that part of the package or a free video on a future ride. They are very cold folks when it comes to offering a remedy that would at least make me feel a little better. I have shared experience with a lot of my Nascar buddies and told them not to buy the video part of the experience.

Fantastic experience: This was the funnest experience yet for me! Driving the car was very exciting and the whole crew made it a fun learning experience, I highly recommend it for anybody that is interested in nascar or not , this was a blast!

Positive experience: I did the Richard Petty twice. Once in Vegas the other in Delaware. Vegas was fun but Delawares 1 mile track is not as interesting. My top speed was less then impressive. My CTSV is much more intriguing. B for the experience, C for the thrill.

Negative experience: The track personnel were more interested in stuffing me into the car whether or not I could reach the pedals, which I could barely reach. I had a hard time pressing on the accelerator because of this. So from my view point the loading crew wasn't taking enough time to be sure i was properly seated, just get me in and going. The video that was supposed to be recorded failed and did not exist. Not rushing out to get another chance to waste my money

Fantastic experience: We were at the Daytona 500 and had a blast. We had field passes so we got to see some of the stuff in field. It was awesome being able to see up close how things in the back ground actually works for these races to take place. It was neat to feel the power of the cars as they drove by. We Thank Johnny Morris for making this possible for us.

Positive experience: Las Vegas Experience I had a ride along and my husband did the driving experience. We got double the laps and would recommend everyone to pick double the laps. it goes by so fast but well worth the money and time. Come be one of the +165 Miles an hour Club!!!

Positive experience: If you'r into adrenaline,do the ride around with the pro driver. The self drive is very slow in comparison as the cars are constantly on the governor. You may go faster on your drive to the track.

Positive experience: I have been on 3 rookie experience drives over the last 10 years. First 2 were following a Petty driver with no one in car with me. last ride was 2 years ago in Las Vegas and they put an employee in a 2 seat car with me. He told me when to slow down or speed up. It ruined the whole experience for me because I was not in control. I was going to ask for my money back, but decided not to. I will never do the ride that way again, not fun at all. I hope you have changed this in car with you thing. If not I will find another way to go.

Fantastic experience: Staff was very helpful and informative. It was a fantastic experience and my next one will be driving an Indy Car. My wife and I have both done the Nascar experiences and they were fantastic for both of us.

Positive experience: Over the years, I have participated in the Rookie Experience three times. Given my competitive nature, the first two experiences (Concord & Bristol) were great fun, as we learned who the fastest drivers were on that day. My last experience was at Daytona, and they no longer shared the fastest driver information. I was only able to compete against friends, as we personally shared information.

Positive experience: I participated in the Mario Andretti Racing Experience, driving an IndyCar, twice during 2018 at Dover International Speedway. The Andretti program has a great team that provides an exciting and fun experience. Prior to actually driving an instruction/sales session is conducted providing the details necessary to operate the car, understand the track dynamics and to keep you safe. My only disappointment with the drive is the speed limiter which activated to quickly for my preference. Years ago I raced go-karts and sports cars so I enjoy speed. Obviously, this is a personal observation which would not apply to everyone. Overall, a really memorable experience and if you like IndyCar racing you will enjoy the Andretti offering. You can also purchase a video of your in-car experience which is fun to watch and show to friends. Next stop for me is the NASCAR Experience.

Negative experience: Honestly I’ve done quite a few driving schools and racing experiences, and this one was by far the worst. They immediately tell you that the package you purchased may not get you to race speeds and try to upsell you, and that goes on for a while. I bought a $400 package which hardly got me to Honda Civic speeds let alone a Indy style car should hit. The rev limiter hit 1/3 the way down the straights and have you braking so early it was pathetic. Total waste of money. I wrote a letter about this to the Andretti Experience asking for a full refund and never heard a word. Don’t waste your money on this terrible excuse for a racing experience.

Fantastic experience: This was an experience of a life time!! It was such a thrill to grab a hold of real NASCAR steering wheel at the Daytona International Raceway!! I took that baby into the turn one and kept looking for the straight. With the pedal to the medal coming out of the turn I felt like I was in a rocket. I had a smile from ear to ear. Staying in contact with the spotter is key. He will guide you. I did eight laps at an average of 153+ mph!!! In the tutoring class they tell you there is really no reason to let off the pedal. This is my 3rd experience, each at a different track and it was the best in regards to the spotter. They have improved over time and so has my overall speed! Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: What an experience! Initially, I was nervous. But my fears subsided when the class started! Everything was explained in depth. The staff was tremendous. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Then came the driving experience...phenomenal! I highly recommend this experience!

Positive experience: I was super excited to attend the Mario Andretti Racing Experience! Both my mother and father were race car drivers but I had never been behind the wheel on the track. The staff was great and provided good instructions as to how the day would go. When it came time to get in the car, I noticed there were several cars with the same number. I would recommend using different numbers for each car to prevent confusion when listening to your pit crew. While out on the track, I would hear car 43 and was unsure who he was referring too. I was having a great time, increasing my speed each lap as instructed by the pit crew. However when it was time to hit the maximum rpms, the rev limiter wouldn’t allow it. I was only able to do 4700 rather than 5000 as the crew told me to accelerate to. When I mentioned to the pit crew I couldn’t go that high he gave me instructions but it was clear after several attempts the car was not set up to go that fast. I am really disappointed after paying $900 I wasn’t able to go 150+ as promoted. When I got home to check out the video I paid $200 for, it was really poor quality and didn’t include my entire experience. I’m really disappointed with the whole experience and won’t pay that much to do it again.

Fantastic experience: I did the Richard Petty driving experience at Daytona. It was one of the best was experience of my life time. I would recommend every able NASCAR fan to do this at least once. It will give you a totally different way of watching the races. I will do it again but try a different track. Well worth the money.

Fantastic experience: I gave my nephew one of these gift packages when he graduated from college. He still raves about it several years later. And I've done the ridealongs three times (at three different tracks) and always really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the experience!

Fantastic experience: The NASCAR experience provided me with the dream of a lifetime. The employees in Las Vegas were polite, professional, and as safety oriented as they should be. The car I drove operated as smoothly as a race car should, and with the spotter giving me directions over the radio, I was able to drive it 146.32 mph. Going into a steeply banked turn at that speed is something you will NEVER forget. Trust your car!

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience to drive an open wheel formula car at over 150mph with full confidence the car could easily take the corners of Autoclub Speedway at over 200mph. There is nothing in the world like this. After I got out of the race car I was ready to turn around, jump in and do a whole bunch more laps! Join those of us who have expericenced massive speed in an open cockpit race car with total confidence, while listening to your friendly spotter watching and giving you pointers as you progress, turn by turn!

Negative experience: I purchased a Groupon deal and tried to schedule a time to use it at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. I left messages multiple times and nobody ever got back to me. Piss poor customer service to be sure.

Fantastic experience: One of Arts bucket list dreams was to drive a racecar and this affording him that ability. He got to drive good ole 88. He was so happy and proud. The staff was AMAZING with him. Every single step of the process was crystal clear and the staff assisted with everything. Absolutely unforgettable.

Fantastic experience: My husband did the Rookie experience and loved it, we was worried he wouldn't be allowed to take full advantage of the speed/car but the team there were excellent they encouraged him and taught him how to drive properly to get the best out of the car/track, would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had had a great time (in Las Vegas) driving at Richard Petty Experience. It is my second trip there, and will not be the last. I intend to drive more sessions, as I drove the EOL recently. All of the personnel there made it a great experience and made it a priority to look out for my safety, when driving 150 mph.
