Negative experience: I would give a 0 if it was an option. Had a ride a long scheduled at World Wide Technology raceway yesterday 8/24/2024. This was Christmas gifts for the family. I confirmed the event was on and we were scheduled on Tuesday 8/20/2024 and was advised that everything was set and we were good. Family all piled into the vehicles and drove about an hour away only to get there and be told by a little old lady at the guard shack that it has been cancelled. I called the number for the Rusty Wallace racing experience to hear an automated message stating the company is suspending services effective immediately due to the economy. They are telling us to take up the refund with the 3rd party vendor or your credit card company. That is hog wash. They have had my hard earned money for 8 month. You know $500 is a lot with the economy the way it is. Everyone knows the majority of the NASCAR fans are hard working blue collar people. Moral of this story/review, The Wallace name is a staple in the NASCAR world as well here in Jefferson county Missouri. This could have been handled much better. Bad enough to let down your NASCAR fans but here in your home town.. what a smack in the face. They sent no email advising of this information prior to people driving which cost more money or even send an automated message with the information. What a disappointment and shame on you. I get it business is business but NASCAR is already having issues with positive fan experience and you were a representation of NASCAR.

Negative experience: The event was not cancelled because it was never contracted with the racing facility. Was told that his company books events with no intention of having them. Got an email 48 hours prior saying they are out of business

Fantastic experience: Great day. 2 rain cancellations but finally pulled it off. Safe, memorable & good times. Well organized.

Positive experience: Bought for my son ( 22 ) 20 laps ran at Sandusky Speedway. I would highly recommend doing a ride along first if you have never driven a race car. Could see a big difference when people did. Son loved it.

Positive experience: Overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience, but not one that I plan to do again. The main reason is that after training, the communication needs improved. I got the ride along before I started driving, which was fun but the driver didn't really explain what he was doing along the way. Definitely not worth the $60 on a 3/8 mile circle track... maybe on a longer road style course. When they were strapping us into the car, they didn't really explain anything (and you can't look around because your head is strapped in). I had to ask to verify I knew how to get out of the car if I needed to on my own. When driving, the only instruction I was given was for passing or exiting the track. I was really anticipating that they were going to give us tips on things to do better to get faster / better laps. Even when a car was stalled exiting the track with a truck pushing them, I didn't get clear communication as to what I should be doing since it wasn't safe to exit the turn at speed any longer. You can't ask questions, because the radios are only one-way and everyone is on the same channel.

Fantastic experience: My son and I had an amazing driving experience in Darlington. Staff was terrific. Highly recommend the ride along and driving experience!

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. We were there a little early. We got to check the cars out in the garage. Then I went for the ride around, which was cool to let me know what I was in for a little bit but when I drove myself, I I’m not done yet!! But the six laps went by really fast. Next time I’ll get more laps. The car was a little hard to keep in line, but I guess that was because of my speed. Was a good experience for the summer will probably do it again

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly and professional. The ride along laps helped with the driving laps, would recommend that. Was a fun experience and the car was a blast to drive. Want to do it again at a larger track.

Negative experience: Pros: Staff is wonderful. Flexibility to change speedways and date was very accommodating. I appreciate that because it was an expensive package and my initial reservation needed to be changed due to personal circumstances. Cons: communication between spotter and driver in race car was HORRIBLE. It’s dangerous. I was driving by myself and couldn’t understand what spotter was saying to me. Very dangerous. I should have pulled off into the pit but didn’t and I take full responsibility for that. I was using the “new and improved” ear pods that I had to purchase for $15. They aren’t worth $1. Signage to leave Charlotte Raceway Once finished was very poor. I guess because they are familiar w/it everyone should be.

Fantastic experience: I drove the slower car 10 laps last year and drove the Extreme car (100 more horsepower) this year. There’s a world of difference! Drive the slower car first and then do it again with the extreme car. That way you really feel the difference in 100 horsepower more!

Fantastic experience: Treated my husband for an anniversary gift. Original date was rained and we rescheduled with a beautiful day! He was driving 15 laps, but once there they recommended doing a drive along to get a feel for the car. We both did a ride along! This was a bucket list item for me and I can not say anymore great things about this experience. Everyone was super nice and super knowledgeable. My husband had a great time driving AND left wanting more! Lol Just DO it! DRIVE FAST AND TAKE CHANCES

Fantastic experience: My sons bought this experience for me for Christmas. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The entire day was perfectly organized and everything ran as smooth as silk. The staff were courteous and did their jobs exceptionally well. I can't praise the experience enough and strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to have an incredible day!

Negative experience: Today I raced the Dover Downs track. It was the 5th time in doing this event. All of the others have been outstanding. I purchased 7 total packages today to take all of my employees. Along with that, I had additional laps left over from the 100 lap special purchased last year. Prior to racing with my employees, I asked to have the "extreme upgrade", I believe what is was called. For the 10 laps extra $150. My employees raced first and when I told the gentleman of the upgrade he put me in the same car as one of my guys just finished with. That guy, my employee, didn't purchase the upgrade. I was told it was a fast car. After my 10 laps I told the guy this car wasn't nearly as fast as the upgraded cars I have had in years past. I had throttle pegged. After my employees where done, I used 25 of my 100 lap package from last year again. I again said I would like the fastest upgrade possible. So I paid and additional $350 for the extreme upgrade again hoping to get a fast car. They put me another standard car and said they upped the rev limiter or Rpm's. I was also told they where short on cars. The additional 25 laps I did at 10 AM, I believe was slower than the 1st car. In my previous experiences I have never been passed by another car on the track except for the ride along vehicles. Today, full throttle, I was told left and lift 4 different times for standard cars to pass. The rev limiter never popped 1 time either. I was very disappointed that they charged me 2 times for a total of $500 and was put in a standard car with no upgrade. Previously with the upgrades, there was a very noticable difference and worth the money. The one time they let me drive the 2 seater, ride along vehicle for the upgrade and was a huge difference. I spent a total of $3100 today and feel I didn't get what I paid for. The Racing Experience has always been such a pleasant experience for me and very professionally ran. I feel that they shouldn't advertise and charge for the additional horsepower when those faster cars aren't available at that time.

Fantastic experience: For my birthday this year, my husband surprised me with a race experience! I got a 3 lap ride-along and a 6 lap drive. We ended up being the last person to go (had to wait for a small helmet). Even though it was really hot and the end of a long, busy, hot and humid weekend working in the sun with no shade... they all were very kind, helpful, informative, and friendly! They made my birthday gift and a major check-off on my bucket list an experience of a lifetime!!! I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone who has ever thought about wanting to feel what it is like to race to run as fast as you can and sign up!!! Thank you to my driver, pit boss, spotter, class instructor, photographer, and registration lady... you help fulfill a life-long dream come true! and a bigger thank you to my husband for thinking of it and buying the tickets for me to do!

Negative experience: I was excited to schedule this experience for my Dad for Father's day. Purchased a Groupon but quickly realized that this limited my options. Attempted many times to email Groupon's customer service to get a refund and never heard back. Their customer service numbers weren't actually affiliated with Groupon. I called the Rusty Wallace experience to see if I could apply the money I spent on the groupon to the package I actually wanted with the current promo they had running. I was told there was nothing they could do and was advised to purchase the package I wanted separately. There was definitely a user error made on my end. I was just underwhelmed by the lack of action from both groupon and the Rusty Wallace experience to remedy the situation. Seemed like no one really cared about solving my problem.

You're leaving a 1 star review because you made a mistake. You haven't done our experience but feel the need to do that. You bought the Groupon and you need to deal with Groupon to get a refund. Which our customer service dept. Informed you. We can't do anything about that.

Fantastic experience: It was awesome. If you are thinking about doing it........ do it...... and do more laps than you think you want. Get the faster car because it's funnnnnn.

Fantastic experience: So much fun! The instructors were very clear and made sure it was as safe as possible for new drivers. The 10 laps it comes with is a perfect amount for you to feel it out and really get to experience it!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time riding along and driving a stock car, it was loud and powerful, a lot to absorb in a short time. I had a great time and I was on an adrenaline rush all afternoon.

Fantastic experience: If you're thinking about it, DO IT! Save the $$$ to do the entire experience: ride a long, get the picture & the video! The entire staff from registration to pit road gave the best customer service I've ever had! (I'm 71 so I've been around). Do 20 laps - hold on & soak it in! Been going to Dover since the '70's. Took my 2 sons + son in law. They can't stop talking about it. Take a group of friends to share the experience!!!

Fantastic experience: My husband was gifted this experience and it was great. He really enjoyed it. He does recommend you get the ride along before you do the driving experience, because it helps you to get the most out of driving. Well worth the cost.

Fantastic experience: I purchased this for my grandson's 18th birthday. He very much enjoyed the ride along. Next time he wants to drive!

Frank Dixon 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic time driving 23 laps in the modified stock car on St Patties day. Super fun day. Kenny Slade held excellent class enabling me to equal the speed of the ride along driver a max speed of 62 mph and a 45 mph average on this half mile track at New Smyrna. The customer service really treated me well as well. I’ve driven at Richmond and Charlotte, but the short track is a lot more fun. A lot more throttle control and braking than the longer tracks. Next I wish they raced at a dirt track in Florida.

Fantastic experience: Purchased this for my youngest son as a gift. He did his ride & drive at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He absolutely loved it! Everything was well run and well organized (did have a moring rain delay). They do try to upsell you with laps, photos, videos, etc. which is to be expected, no big deal. "My" only gripe would be I don't think any of the cars (including gen 6) where running at 150+ mph. I used a stop watch knowing the 1.5 mile quad oval pretty well (raced it years ago), the speeds seemed to be well under the advertised 150 (even the ride along cars). The good news was all the drivers had an awesome time, they had no idea how fast they drove :) Put it on your bucket list as a fun way to spend some time on a track.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Rusty Wallace Racing at the charlotte motor speedway. This was my second time doing this, but first with Rusty Wallace and this group is waaaay more organized then the first one i used. Set time, very efficient check in and training class. I arrive around 10:40 for my 11 timeslot and i was checked in, through the class in about 30 min, and in the car by about 11:30. I did the 20 lap drive and the 3 lap ride along. Major adrenalin rush with both. Will definitely do this again.

Fantastic experience: 29 Feb 24 Since giving my original 2 Star rating and feedback about our experience with the VIP 10 Lap Experience, the manager, Aylla, was in touch with me right away via email. She apologized and explained a few things to me, while recognizing our frustration and disappointment in this "life time experience". Aylla immediately set in motion to refund my credit cards for the video and VIP experience. She also has sent me a confirmation to attend the experience again in November for 5 laps and honoring the previous package. She mentioned that she would be sharing our suggestions with the owner and would like our feedback after the November experience. Thank you Aylla for being on top of this. While we cannot get that day back, we are looking forward to this new day and appreciate you providing this excellent customer service to not only satisfy us, but it will also be rewarding for anyone going forward. ~Donya 25 Feb 24 My husband enjoyed driving a race car, but we did not get the experience we hope to of had or they described. There is NO VIP experience or process to insure what you pay for in advance. We cannot confirm that he drove the 10 laps (only counted 6). The video disk that we paid for did not work at the race track or at home. (Refund requested and Representative was aware of at the time). Having the video disk as a momento would have also resolved the number of laps that was actually driven. The location and easy access and opportunity to drive is what gave this 2 stars. We offered up suggestions via email to insure consistency for all for a better customer and driver experience for the future.

Fantastic experience: What a terrific experience. Bought 10 laps for my son's 18th bday and he enjoyed every moment. We added the ride along as suggested by the ladies at the sign up table. My daughter jumped in for a ride along experience herself. She said it was totally worth it. Everyone was friendly from the pit crew to the uniform clerk. As a first time experience, we were impressed with the orderly process and look forward to driving again in the future.

Negative experience: You asked for my feedback so here it is. The experience was not the greatest. First, I paid attention to the instructor in the class before the drive and then once I got onto the track I followed the instructions. I was having trouble hearing the spotter as I was coming out onto the track. I immediately dropped to the bottom of the track and got into the circle and stopped. They called a guy out to the car. I explained to him several times that I was only hearing part of the spotter's radio transmissions. (Maybe every third or fourth word.) He got a radio out of his truck and tested it. He said I was good and left. I still only heard every third or fourth word from the spotter. They sent my cousin, who did the experience along with me, out in the # 10 car. He had motor problems and the car kept stalling which put us into a caution status for several laps. They took him off the track and put him in another car. The kicker was that they sent someone else out in the same car who again had motor issues which kept us in the cation status. My wife was in the stands and counted the laps. The spotter shorted me of the extra laps that I paid for when I got to the track, and I spent the majority of my original laps in a caution state. I was not very happy about this... The track was very dirty with trash and debris all over the infield. I was not very impressed at all. Truth be told, I was rather disappointed. My wife seriously thought about asking our credit card company to initiate an inquiry to ask for our money back as the experience was not exactly what was advertised. I do not believe that I will be going through this "experience" again nor do I think that I would be recommending it to anyone...

Fantastic experience: It was a blast. The only issue I had was the steering wheel was at the exact same height as my eyes! I couldn't see without stretching to look over it or ducking my head to look underneath. Made it difficult to see the lane lines so I was uncomfortable going as fast as I wanted to. We are going to try it again next year and hopefully there is something y'all an do to help me with that. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. I would suggest everyone try this at least once.

Shelly Parker 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: It was awesome so much fun everyone was very nice rode with a driver first then 9 laps by myself I loved it even if I did get in trouble for accelerating to much in the corners it was great had a wonderful time like to say thank you to everyone especially whoever was my spotter

Amy Thornton 1 year ago

Negative experience: This was such a huge disappointment given what it cost! The 1st car they put my husband in, had a mechanical failure 1/2 through lap 4.. He had to limp it back down pit row. The last time I noticed, they were pushing that car to the garage. The 2nd car he was put in already had smoke billowing out because it was over heating. So, it obviously didn't perform well. We also paid extra for an upgraded car. However, they put everyone in the same tired cars that were in rotation. So, what did we pay extra for? Where was the "upgraded" car? This was a birthday gift that he was very excited about. But, resulted in a huge let down. Between the overall cost of this "experience", gas money and a place to stay, it was a very expensive trip with nothing to show for it. I would suggest if you still decide to waste your money here, pick an early race time before the cars are absolutely worn out! Amy

Fantastic experience: What an experience! The staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone has a good time. I can only imagine the challenges they have but all you see is smiles and encouragement. You need to do a ride then drive as many laps as your budget allows.

Fantastic experience: This organization is top notch. I highly recommend. The staff are very informative and courteous. I did the Nashville track 1 1/3 miles and got the extreme upgrade.

Full Throttle 1 year ago

Negative experience: Several points of disappointment. I’m a happy go lucky guy and hate to write what follows. Had I paid the full price for this I would be very upset. I did the Ride Along for 3 laps. Bought a 10 Lap Package, when checking in, I got the oops, you only have 6 Lap Package, you will need to pay more for the 10 lap Package Upgrade that I purchased. I politely tried showing the lady my receipt which clearly had 10 laps. She was almost rude and was unhelpful. Later I did “buy” 4 more laps, not a clue what that cost me, no paper receipts, she said I would get an email, day later none. Equipment wore out; fire suits were ripped up. Not little tears, we are talking 1-3 foot long rips. Really ineffective as fire suits, more for the “experience”. Barely enough suits to go around. Helmets and visors all scratched up, affected vision. They had spot spray painted green and orange lines on the track, randomly every so often. This was the Driving Lane, had to stay in it or the spotter would bark at you. Problem was, it was just a highway driving lane width. There was a whole lot of track that could not be used and this seriously limited the speeds attainable. These lines were very difficult to see without dirty scratched up windshield and visor, add in dirty scratched up equipment and at times I and other drivers I spoke with afterwards, could not see some of these lines. In the Drivers Meeting a lot was emphasized about safety, which they should and the instructor did a great job, but to provide unsafe visual equipment seems to be counterproductive……but it did slow us down, so maybe that is the safe way to do it. No clue how fast we went, tachs did not work, so rely on the rev limiter, and no time slips. Use rev limiter too much and you got barked at by spotter. Signage to get anywhere, including to the track reminded me of cheerleader car wash signs. Cheap, flimsy poster board and magic marker…..but no cheerleaders. The guys doing all the work were great and helpful guys, overworked and tired would be my assessment. Whole experience was an experience carnival ride. Damm sure glad I didn’t pay full price.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely awesome time. I booked it for my 19 year old nephew who has always been a big fan of NASCAR. He was totally surprised when we pulled into the track. He had no idea. I kept it a surprise. Like every other fan he has dreams of driving someday. Guess I just fueled the sickness. Everything was perfect from the registration to the classroom to the ride along and then the drive. He got 20 laps on the track all to himself. Big big memories made. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. And to get to be in Dale Jr’s 88 car couldn’t have been more perfect. I was always a great Aunt now nothing compares to me. Thank you so so much for the experience.

Fantastic experience: I bought the driving experience for my father, for a birthday gift. And it was such an incredible, memorable experience to share! Everyone there was so helpful and excited for us as well! My dad had the best day! I added on the ride along for myself and Ricky was my driver, he did awesome! Positive experience: Charlotte Motor Speedway. I've driven the NASCAR Experience 3 times, Mario Andretti Experience once, and the Rusty Wallace Experience once. The Andretti Experience was the best and I would spend my money their first. RWE was lacking in a few areas but better in not as many. I did like that I could purchase as many extra laps as I wanted and they only charge per lap. I HATED that I didn't even get to find out how fast I was going. That's absolutely crazy! Both the others give you a certificate with your top speed. Who doesn't want to know how fast they went? The biggest issue with choosing on over the other is date availability. RWE was extremely limited in this aspect. I didn't hate it and the people were cool and professional. I just would rather drive on of the other experiences. Edit: Just to confirm, the experience wasn't bad. And getting a certificate shouldn't be a reason to choose one over the other. The scheduling was a bit disappointing BUT I understand actual race schedules, weather, and the other driving experiences have to be factored in. I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars with a suggestion that they give some kind of memento certificate that people can show off (I have my others framed in my garage). Maybe a certificate with number of laps and time.

Jay thanks for the review. We do not print out certificates with speeds that are bogus like our competitors. The speeds they print out on those certificates are not real. You can easily figure our your average speed if you had the video and just timed your laps. We have multiple dates at Charlotte. You were doing our 3rd to final date at Charlotte this year. We've already had run another weekend prior to this. We also run at a lot more tracks than NRE/Petty across the nation so our schedule is pretty full to squeeze in more that 6 events at a specific track for the year.

Positive experience: We thought it was fun. We enjoyed it. We redeemed at Riverhead Raceway. But.., We went on a Sunday. Apparently they had a race there the night before the place was a mess. Trash everywhere. No concession stands open. The cars were pretty beat up. One had a fender that was dragging, We paid through a Groupon. When I booked the event I then had to pay another $71.28 per person? I purchased 2. The day of the event we paid another $75 for insurance which was not needed. The cars go pretty slow. So paying for the event then two more fees later on, it is quite expensive for what we got. The track is so short. We would not do it again. The two hidden fees later on..not cool, that added another $146 to the original $269 .. had I known that I would have never purchased.

Negative experience: The driving experience fun! However if you are owed any type of credit from a cancellation or rain delay be prepared to show emails and receipts because they will NOT accept just your credit voucher. Myself and another had a credit but because their employees never emailed us this cancellation credit confirmation we were SOL. It’s awful we all work hard for our money and they should not fault the customer because their employee never sent the email and as a customer how are we suppose to know we need an email stating this!? We were told just bring the voucher with the original purchase price and you will be good to go...WRONG and when the owner was called to relay our situation he basically said too bad!

Douglas G 6 years ago

Negative experience: It's hard not to have a good time driving a race car on the track, but there are some customer service issues with RWRE that could be fixed to make it a 5-star experience. When we arrived at the track, nobody there knew that we had changed our times a week prior. Same thing happened the second time out. We had a reservation for Sunday, but a tropical rainstorm was coming (Sunday was rained out). We were able to switch to Saturday due to someone else's cancellation, but once again, nobody at the track was expecting us on Saturday. As far as the cars go, it's unpredictable. The first time the blue #12 car at Dover had a super-fast motor, but the transmission had only 2 working gears, 2nd and 4th. Leaving the pits in 2nd required a lot of throttle and clutch slip, then the spotter yells at me not to be so aggressive leaving the pits. Duh. The car also had some handling issues, felt to me like looseness in the front end. It was very hard to understand what they're barking at you on these speakers you slip between your ears and the helmet, which ruins your lap because you slow down out of confusion. I heard others commenting on this also. There is no 2-way comms, so you can't respond. The second time I had a GREAT handling car, but the rev limiter came on much too soon. I was reeling people in on every turn, only to lose them on the straights. Since I had paid extra for the so-called faster "COT car", once back in the pits I inquired about why the rev limiter was set so low, and the unnecessarily rude response was "you need to drive better". NOT HELPFUL! At the end of the second day, my wife wanted to get the photo plaque for me, but their printer was broken. Since her video did not come out, they said they'd send the plaque by mail, but all we got 4 weeks later were three pictures in a flat envelope (no plaque to put them in). The other thing we found displeasing were the smelly well-used helmets, and watching our sweaty firesuits being sprayed with freshener and then given to another person to use right away.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolute blast during my Rusty Wallace Racing Experience!! The ride along was a great way to get familiar with the track, as well as get a first hand experience riding with a professional driver! The extra laps during the driving experience were well worth it. it took a few laps to get comfortable behind the wheel, but it made the experience so much more enjoyable!! I will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I raced at Colorado national speedway in Dacono Colorado. I would highly recommend this for anyone who loves driving or racing. I recieved this awesome day from my fiancee. The drivers meeting was very informative. Then going straight to the car and on to the track with 20 laps or more will give you the "need for speed" and the rush of a lifetime! I will definitely be doing this again and once my boys are old enough we will be doing this together.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I did a combo of 5 and 20 lap experiences at the Colorado National Speedway and the entire thing was great. Staff was helpful and explained everything you needed to know and we felt very comfortable on and off the track in regards to safety. Additionally, the experience was efficient. The read ahead said 2.5 hours but we were both done in 1.5 hours. From the briefing right to getting suited up and literally right into the race car and on the track. Definitely recommend to anyone and we'll be doing it again, just on a bigger track.

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience which totally exceeded my expectations! If your thinking about going to a driving experience, then you will thoroughly enjoy Rusty Wallace Racing Experience! I attended on August 12th at Dover International Speedway. My 8 lap experience was a gift and I thought that it would be a fun time. I was wrong. It was Awesome! This is a bucket list event for any race fan to attend! We added a ride along with a professional race car driver before the event. This made the driving experience much more fun as you already saw what the car was capable of doing when driven by a pro. Everything was well run, from the girls who run the registration, to the professionally run instructions in the drivers meeting, as well as the pit crew. This was truly an unexpected bucket list experience! Thank You!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had the most exhilarating experience, 12 laps at Dover International Speedway with the Rusty Wallace Race Experience. From the start at registration, to the drivers’ meeting, to the car chief, everyone was helpful and extremely safety conscious. The experience allows for a wide selection of options to fit a person’s driving ability and has options from picture plaque and roof top video to document the drive. My only recommendation would be to place the camera inside the vehicle for a more realistic driver view and sound experience. For anyone that prefers dirt tracks, Rusty Wallace Driving Experience has dirt experiences, and if you really like speed, they have Drag Strip experiences. I am looking forward to having another Rusty Wallace experience at another NASCAR track very soon!

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at the monster mile the staff was professional and happy to help out . Did the ride along first the guy gave me some tips and a great ride . My drive was awesome the spotter tells you just what to do . I got to pass a slower car and felt comfortable after just a few laps . Will do it again .

Negative experience: If you have NEVER driven any kind of race car, stock car, etc. please do NOT waste your time here. No one is going to give you practical help, and then you’ll end up paying them more for nothing. I bought this for my husband for his birthday and we were so excited. He had never driven anything like that before but the only experience required was how to drive a stick. They emphasized safety and thorough instruction so I figured this was gonna be great. Uh, not quite. You spend 30-40minutes hearing someone tell you what to do but NOT showing you. Imagine if you had gone to drivers ed Only in a classroom. How well do you think that would have gone for you? So we thought that was weird but we were glad we paid extra for the ride along, thinking that is where he would get to see some explanation in action. The driver was SILENT. Not a word on anything his was doing, didn’t even do the same things the instructor did during his talk. Even writing that now makes me so intensely angry. So my confused husband finally has his chance behind the wheel, and ends up fishtailing on his first lap. He just had no sense of what it would feel like to press the gas on a car like that. The guy talking in his ear didn’t exactly guide him either. The car hit a wall and the backend got some damage, thus ending his experience for the day - their sucky but understandable policy. They then assess on the spot that the cost of the damage is $400 - based on what exactly, I’ll never know. So this cheap fun bday Groupon turned into a $700 waste of time and an awful embarrassing experience for my husband. Disappointing and scary. If this place isn’t going to really help people, this is much too dangerous for the inexperienced. I’m glad it wasn’t worse.

Fantastic experience: Had a really great time! The intro class was great and well organized. Customer safety was on point, and the racing was phenomenal. I was in car #77, at the Stafford Motor Speedway in CT. Would absolutely race with Rusty Wallace Racing Experience again. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Our group had a great time at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and we all thought that the experience was definitely worth the price. One thing that could be improved is the availability of properly sized gear. There was a shortage of S and M sized helmets and there were multiple people who couldn't get to ride as they didn't have the properly sized helmet. With that being said, we will definitely be back! Thanks for the overall great experience.

Negative experience: Awful, just awful. Customer service was rude and unprofessional. Quick to get me off the phone as soon as they could. They didn’t even attempt to solve my problem. My girlfriend bought these tickets as a Christmas gift. She bought them through Groupon and the tickets she bought through the Crusty Racing Experience were totally wrong to what we bought. She isn’t even able to use hers since the ticket she bought wasn’t offered through Crusty. And refunds? Forget it, they don’t do those. Now I’m sure the experience is fun and all. But they sure do know how to DRIVE customers away before you even get on the track. Ridiculous, never giving “Crusty Wallace Racing Letdown” business again.

Fantastic experience: My dad did this and absolutely loved it, so I knew I had to try it too. I got this for my boyfriend and myself and it was the ultimate date! We got the ride along, where a professional drove us around at 180mph and it was just as much fun as driving ourselves. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was super nervous, but all the staff members seemed well trained and were able to talk me through any worries I had. Overall, just an amazing experience!

Fantastic experience: Booked a 10 lap package at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Was a blast!! Would recommend for any thrill seeker. First impressions. They are not the most organized. Nobody really tells you where to go or what to do once you check in. Cars are a little dated. I was assigned a car (Dodge) and thought "this thing looks a little rough" however, it ran great. I was overall impressed. I had done a previous experience with another well known racing experience, and I would recommend Rust Wallace Racing Experience over the other I have done.

Fantastic experience: I raced with the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience (RWRE) a couple years ago at Dover International Speedway. My wife had purchased a package for me and I had a blast. After racing with RWRE they email you very good specials and I purchased a 3 for 1 special. Over the next 18 months the staff at RWRE helped reschedule my friends and I due to weather and NASCAR mandated track updates. Yesterday was the day my friends and I finally got to race at Dover. Although it was a misty and cloudy day the entire RWRE staff worked hard to keep people smiling and when the opportunity came they dried the track and got cars going. Our experience started with Casey who was working the main reception trailer. She was extremely helpful and start the experience with a smile. We then wandered over to the garage area and spent time talking to one of the pro drivers that was conducting the ride alongs, Matt Mullins. Matt was so personable my friends and I felt like we knew him forever. He introduced us to the other pro driver Phil and the director of operations, Scott, they were also a blast to talk to. Our next step before getting on the track was to attend the driver's meeting hosted by Scott. Scott did a great job walking us all through the entire process including; safety, signaling , drive lines and how to execute so you enjoy the experience. My friends and I did the ride along with the pro and just like my first experience, we all found these 3 laps valuable in getting use to the sensation of speed and identifying the drive line. We all enjoyed our time on the track in our own cars. What sets this experience apart from the other experiences is that each driver has a spotter who is talking to you in your helmet, coaching you on your drive line, being your eyes and making you comfortable. We finished the experience smiling from ear to ear and wanting more. We spent 16 laps driving our own car but hours at the track. Driving was a blast but the entire Rusty Wallace Racing Experience team made it an great experience that we will never forget!

Negative experience: Just came back from Chicagoland speedway. Mostly a big disappointment. Not very organized, scare you into shelling out an extra $60.00. Would rather just have it included. Not the way to start a new experience. A large portion of the meeting was spent sharing stories of wrecks involving people who didn't pay the insurance, and chuckles about how they now "own that ladies house". Largly unprofessional. The pit crew was clearly untrained, and unaware of how the safety equipment worked. Did not instill any confidence to go fast. Feel like it was a big waste of time, and bigger waste of money. Glad to hear others have had better experiences.

Negative experience: Driving the car was a blast, but everything else was a complete operational disaster. Something that was supposed to take 2-hours ended up taking 5 hours. They are a bit slimy with the "extras" that they don't tell you about when you book. The operations staff was rude and uninformed. The picture printer broke. My first car broke. Took forever to get me in to another car. I didn't get all the laps I paid for. Too many issues to list. I would go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: OMG! This was so much fun I am still shaking the next day. Terry Allen of 1970s NASCAR fame was our safety instructor. He was terrifically helpful and gave excellent advice to all us novices. I CANNOT WAIT to do this again!

Fantastic experience: So far I've had 3 experiences with the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience, a ride along at Las Vegas and 2 driving experiences at Dover and each time they impress me with their professionalism and their commitment to make sure you have the best experience available. The instruction class for the driving is always informative and insures you have a safe time every time. And the driving experience is just plain awesome! Whether you go 40 mph or 100+ mph when you're strapped in that car you think you are your favorite Nascar driver and you can picture them passing cars and driving the track like you are! Great experience and recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I received this experience for my birthday this year. I did not really know what to expect. I can tell you now post-experience that it was well worth it! I really enjoyed the freedom to be on the track in the car, with me totally in control. The spotter on the track was talking me through passing and taking the corners correctly. It is overwhelming at first to be strapped in to the race car, but after a few minutes I got used to it. All in all, I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested to see what it is like to drive a real race car! Well worth it, and my adrenaline gets pumping even as I am typing this. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We booked a ride along and driving experience with Rusty Wallace Racing Experience using their 4th of July special at Texas Motor Speedway and it was worth every penny. I bought this package as a birthday gift to my boyfriend and he loved every second of it. The instructors were beyond nice and the experience overall was amazing. We already want to book another race after how well everything went this weekend. Everyone was very professional, and it was amazing how organized they are. Even though multiple people can be on the track at once, it was still a great personal experience in which we never felt in danger. I would highly recommend Rusty Wallace Racing Experience to anyone who has ever thought about trying racing.

Positive experience: Seriously amazing .... to have a chance to do this at Dover this past weekend 8/5/2017 was killer ..... the only thing was the communication from the spotter was really hard to hear and couldn't always tell what he was saying. If you did an ear bud that was take it with you or bring your own so you can totally hear would be best. The staff however was great, the car was so much fun... I will not lie, worried going in however got out of the car after 12 laps and said that was F'ing amazing ..... best birthday present ever .... hope to do it again some day.

Fantastic experience: Great experience for all heavy/lead right foot drivers. It gives us speedsters the required right amount of adrenalin rush in a controlled environment to help us avoid speeding or reckless driving tickets on the open road. Four years ago my wife gave me a 4-Lap Nascar Racing Experience as a Birthday gift. She was unaware of the severity of my speeding addiction or that I had been a full blown high speed driving addict since I was 16 years old. Got my license suspended 7 months after I first got it and I am not saying this to brag. A 4-Lap Nascar Racing Experience hit for a speeding junkie like me did not even leak a drop of adrenalin into my circulatory system. It had the opposite affect, as it caused me to speed at 80-90 miles an hour on the drive back home to quench my adrenalin thirst. For our anniversary, I asked her to buy me another Nascar Racing Experience with more than 4-Laps. She got me the 8-Lap racing experience hit. At the end of the 8-Lap race, I was hooked. For a speeding demon junkie like me, in my mind it was a real full blown race against all the other cars on the track, which required my body to produce and administer an almost full dose of adrenalin. I was hooked, baby. On every birthday and Xmas since, my wife has given me the greatest gift you can give a speeding demon junkie like me, a Nascar Racing Experience hit. A full blown racing experience full of heart pumping adrenalin. I sleep like a baby afterwards. Yes, like any drug, your body builds a tolerance and you will need a higher dose the next time to experience the same affect. On August 19th, I will be at the Rusty Wallace Richmond International Raceway to run 16-Laps for the first time on the track to top off my adrenalin tank for the next year. I have to admit that these Nascar Racing Experiences do not stop me completely from speeding but it does help decrease the desire to and avoid speeding tickets. I haven't gotten a ticket in over 5 years, so it is working for me. I highly recommend these Rusty Wallace Nascar Racing Experience for all those speed junkies out there. If you are a speeding or reckless driving junkie, then try it for yourself or give it as a gift to the speeding or reckless driving junky in your family, every family has one. They will love you for helping them with their addiction and for gifting them a Nascar Racing Experience fix. Any less than an 8-Lap Nascar Racing Experience fix/hit will not quench the speeding demon for the required 12 months period (next Bday). I am a die hard chain speed demon and so I speak from experience. This will become your speed junkie's new addiction. Depending on the severity of your junkie's speeding addiction, you may have to start with two or three hits a year and decrease by one dose each year until you are down to one hit of 8, 16, or more Laps per year. Trust me, here in Virginia, the cost of the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience is cheaper than the cost of one speeding ticket over 80. In Virginia, 81 miles an hour or higher is a felony reckless driving offense, which can result with a hefty fine and jail time. A Nascar Racing Experience in a close circuit track is safe and allows you to speed higher than 80 miles an hour legally and ticket free. Trust me, this way will always be cheaper. Save the money you would spend on a ticket, and on legal and court fees, and use it to buy a Rusty Wallace Racing Experience on your Bday, anniversary, or even for a Christmas gift. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I saw this on living social and thought this was a great Birthday Present for my girlfriend. The experience was amazing. We did the 3 lap ride along to get used to the speed and comfort of the car and then did 8 laps on our own in our own stock cars! The 30min tutorial was perfect as we have never driven these cars before. The experience was one of a kind and she is already looking up different tracks. We went to Dover International Speedway which is a 1mile track. We purchased the video and photo plaque for the best memories we experienced on this day. We can't wait to go back again. This is a definite must try!!!!!!

Negative experience: I have been to several racing experiences, this was the worst. First off they suggested we pay an extra $60 for insurance as opposed to including it in the price. They definitely used a scare tactic telling us were liable for up to $15,000 payable that day before we left the track if there was an accident. This should have been known before we paid the initial price. Then there were not enough helmets to go around so we had to wait on pit road to hopefully get one from a previous driver. So of course it was smelly and sweaty. We were scheduled for 1:00 to 2:00 but didn't get on the track till after 2:30. So we had to stand in the hot sun while pit crews fumbled around. They were very poorly organized. While there were quite a few cars on pit road they could only manage to get a couple out at one time. Again poor organization while we waited in the hot sun. Several of the people in my group paid for the Ride Along but never got it because there were no drivers available. I paid $40 for a video but never got it. I did get reimbursed but I really wanted the video. There were ear phones in the helmet so the spotter could talk to the driver, however I could not understand what he was saying. He had a very harsh tone in his voice so maybe I was doing something wrong but I don't know what it was, so now I'm paranoid spoiling my good time. While we were there 2 cars had flat tires and 1 car had to be push started. While I understand the need for safety, the rev limiter was on the whole time. The whole event was very poorly organized. It appeared they were more interested in pushing as many people through as they could as opposed to making it a good time for fewer people. I have been a race fan all my life and have spent many many hours racing go karts and I was hoping driving a full blown race car at the Dover Race Track would be super exciting but I was wrong. Not a good experience. Maybe I was just there on a bad day but I will never do it again.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience! The Kenny Wallace DRE crew were great hosts and made sure each driver and rider was safe and had a great time. I've paid for 4 KWDRE experiences at 3 different dirt tracks and recommend it to anyone that wants to experience what it's like to drive a sprinter, modified or big block on dirt.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome experience! I drove a late model at Caraway Speedway in North Carolina. The whole team was very positive and helpful. I got up to speed very fast and quickly caught up to slower cars in my group, but the spotter was great at calling the slower cars to drop out of my way. And the car felt great! Taking the advise from the class instructor and the spotter helped me go faster on track. Overall, I would (and already have) recommend this to friends and family. And I plan on signing up again soon

Positive experience: I won this trip a year prior and was able to change my racing location to Auto Club Speedway from Medicine Hat Raceway in Canada. Great choice on my part. Fantastic experience: I had an all around great experience, but nothing came close to the adrenaline rush and pure joy of putting the pedal to the metal. What a rush! The training beforehand was very informative, the prep of the suit, helmet, and securing in the car was great, and having an ear piece with a spotter assisting you was extremely helpful. I purchased the 15 lap racing experience off of Groupon for the Houston, TX location and given it was a short track I recommend not purchasing anything less than that as I was done racing in probably 10 minutes. But what a blast it was! I look forward to signing up for the Texas Motor Speedway event hopefully in the near future to get the opportunity to run on a longer, faster track to reach higher speeds. I highly recommend trying it at least once, I'm looking forward to my next experience.

Fantastic experience: I drove on the Monster Mile (Dover International Speedway) with Rusty Wallace Racing Experience and it was a blast. Check-in was a little hard to find, but went smoothly otherwise. I appreciated the safety and instruction class at the beginning; it did a good job to prepare me for driving. My only criticism stems from the earpieces worn during racing - sometimes they are difficult to hear and it would have helped reduce confusion on my part if "checkered flag" had been said as I entered turn 1 rather than as I entered turn 2. Besides that though, I had a great time and would highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I've always been a big fan of NASCAR and this year me, my wife and kids got to see the races at NHMS in Loudon NH. While there my wife was talking to an older gentleman who told her about driving a car thru the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. So my awesome wife surprised me with 8 laps at Loudon, while I was a little nervous since I hadn't driven a 4 speed in over 30 years, the instructors assured me that I could do and that I would be fine. The hour long classroom was informative and definitely put me more at ease with driving the car. After the classroom that get you suited up and ready to get on the track. I did a ride along first to get a feel for the track, totally up to the individual, if you are a first time driver at the track I would recommend it, then it was my turn behind the wheel. My 8 laps went by way too fast, I wished I purchased additional laps as soon as I got out of the car. I plan on visiting other tracks and will look for RWRE when I get there.

Negative experience: After purchasing a racing package for my father for his birthday the track didn't have enough enrollment. Therefore the Rusty Wallace racing experience staff cancelled the event. Where my trouble started was when I tried to get my money back. Being a Canadian I'm not sure if there may have been some bias towards me in this process but here we go. After calling and asking for a refund, on July 22nd, customer service said it would be a maximum of three weeks until I would be refunded. Three weeks go by and I received nothing back on my Visa as a refund. I call customer service again and get told that the computer said I never put in for a refund. So for the second time I give them my information for the refund. Another three weeks pass and still no refund. Time to call Visa and put in a dispute claim so I can stop paying interest on the almost $400. (The people at Visa were very accommodating and helpful by the way). And it took Visa less than three weeks to get my money back. What a surprise! Do not book with the Rusty Wallace racing experience unless you know for sure you can live without the money if they decided to cancel an event due to low enrollment. I am never going to rebook now in the future and I will certainly tell as many people as I can to not to waste their time and or money with your business!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Fantastic experience: My RWR Experience was AMAZING! I went at the Colorado National Speedway on August 27th in the 10AM group. The pre-race instruction was basic but provided the necessary information to lap the car safely. The car was a Late-Model class. I drove the white #46 car, and it ran great! It was my first experience in a race car and it was better than expected. I wasn't counting my laps but I feel like I got several more than I paid for. Overall, a VERY AWESOME morning.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolute blast with this driving experience. From start to finish, the instructors, teachers and other employees were very kind and helpful. The entire experience was very structured with a good focus on safety. They make sure you feel comfortable before getting into the car. Will definitely give this another go next time they're in the Chicago area. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I had a great time! Everyone was in great spirits and it felt like a fun atmosphere from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. They spent roughly an hour explaining the rules and and explaining how to drive the cars on track. They told us things specific to the track and what to do in an accident situations. I felt very confident when I got into the car that I would be safe. I intend to do this again in the future and I will certainly get more than 15 laps next time. This track (Colorado National Speedway) has roughly 25 second laps and I think its a quarter mile oval. By the time I felt like I was comfortable with the pedals and steering wheel It was time to get off of the track :)

Fantastic experience: My wife purchased a Rusty Wallace Racing Experience for me as a gift, something I've always wanted to do. In my day job I own a business selling, restoring and servicing Antique British Sports cars and I'm fortunate to be able to drive all types of these cars daily. And usually fairly aggressively so I was looking forward to this experience! When I arrived at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the staff was first class, checked me right in and sent me off to the drivers meeting. Larry conducted the meeting in a professional manner, giving the other drivers and myself all the information we needed and answering all of our questions. Larry mentioned that the laps we had purchased would probably not be enough. After suiting up, I opted for a ride along first with a professional driver which was well worth doing! That ride gave me a feel for the track, how the car would handle and the correct racing lines to look for. There was a slight wait for the right car that would fit me and then pit crew strapped me in and checked radio communications. Fired up the engine and with the go ahead on the radio eased the car down pit lane and out on the track. The laps I did were fantastic! The car was great! And Larry was right, I wanted more laps! I highly recommend the Experience and I'm looking forward to doing it again!

Positive experience: I was driving in Evergreen Speedway. Overall experience was very good. The only problem I had is that I didn't get familiar enough with the car and there is no chance to do this during the drive, because of limited visibility through the helmet (you can just see the windshield). When they asked me if I see the gear marked with green tape, I said yes, but I did not notice that there were 2 gears. When I started my race I had problems with shifting the gear, as I was pulling the wrong one. I was about to leave the lane to have them fix it, as I was pulling as hard as possible and that gear was not moving at all. Accidentally I touched the second gear and this was the right one to pull. There is no need to change gears during your ride, you should do this only once, when you enter the lane. I also had some other issues during the ride, but I won't describe them here. Basically I just thought that everything will be as in casual car, so I just paid attention to the things like: taking nice picture, how to unlock the belts and escape the car in case of fire, etc., but was not able to do all the basic things in the car, so I drove a little slower. The advice is - make sure that you get familiar with the car before starting your drive... That's why I would like to do that ride again, this time I would make sure 10K times that I know where everything is upfront, instead of just jumping in and assuming that everything is easy and obvious. One thing I didn't like on their side is that you have to sign that you release all the claims even if the harm is caused by heir fault. Though I'm not sure if such thing is legal and relevant, as if you caused any harm, you are always responsible and have to pay for it, no matter what others have signed. Thanks

Fantastic experience: I went to the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience at Evergreen Speedway in Wa. today and it was a BLAST ! Everything I expected and more. The car I drove was great. The training was just perfect. They really do a great job of getting you prepared for your ride. I'm definitely going to do this again, only next time I'll purchase more laps. I would recommend this for anyone with a desire to drive a fast race car out on the track. LOVED IT !

Positive experience: My car had mechanical issues which didn't allow me to get the full racing effect like I did when we did the Richard Petty experience. Didn't feel like I was out there for the full 16 laps that was paid for me to do either.. Would have been nice for them to have two-way communication radio's so that I could have told someone on the radio what was going on. My overall experience here was poor when I can compare it to the Richard Petty driving experience. If your just looking to get in a car and drive around this will be ok for you, however you won't feel or get the "full" driving experience that you should in the cars that they provide. I understand the importance of acknowledging clients the dangers of getting in a car, however, in the meeting they do before they let you suit up, the coach they have uses "scare" tactics of what will happen to you if you cause damage to one of the cars while your on the track. He didn't make the first impressions of the drive very inviting or encouraging to have fun and get the full effect of being in the car. I didn't 100% dislike this experience but I don't feel I got my moneys worth from this experience. I would choose to do Richard Petty driving experience again over the Rusty Wallace Experience.

Positive experience: Let me be, clear: They let you drive race cars, for real, on real race tracks. I drove 8 laps at the Iowa Speedway on beautiful Saturday afternoon. So I'm sure it is difficult to for people to be very critical; if you just drove a race car over 100 MPH, you most certainly enjoyed yourself! Having said that, I had a few issues. Let me start with a helpful tip to prospective riders out there; those race cars are small. If you are over 6 feet tall, you are going to have trouble fitting into these car, and you may have trouble getting in and out. We had a guy that was right at 6'4" and I don't know if he ever got to drive. The RWRE only has a couple of cars big enough for the big guys. I would recommend RWRE develop a better process for assigning drivers to cars. The process was very disorganized, and I stood out there for better than 2 hours waiting for my turn to drive. I would suggest something similar to what restaurants use, get the drivers checked in, hand them a buzzer, and that way we don't have to stand out there in the sun, just waiting. I really didn't like this part at all, and it nearly ruined the experience. I would also have liked to have a 2-way radio; the spotter during the driving was great, and I really got a lot out of it, but it would have been very nice to be able to ask a question. The cars were well worn, but they had it were it counted. If I was a real race car driver, I would say that the cars were a little tight; that is, they understeered in the corners. But then, if you have a bunch of novices driving your cars without a kill switch, better tight than loose probably. One last thing, everybody asks you the basic question: how fast did you go? I have no idea. The cars don't have a speedometer, and you don't get any kind of report card or anything, just the guy on the radio saying, "You did good!" I would really like some kind of report card or official time or something! Having done this once, I would strongly recommend any one doing this purchase more than 8 laps... I can't speak to ride along program, but I don't think I missed it. But I could driven 40 laps, and it wouldn't have been enough!

Negative experience: Just got back from the Iowa Speedway and Rusty Wallace Driving Experience. My 2 son's and I have done several driving experiences, including the Richard Petty a couple of times. I must say this was the WORSE !!!! Do not recommend it. I am a CEO of a business, and I have to say: I hope I NEVER treat the people around me like we were treated today!!!!! The spotters SWEAR at you. They don't let you do all your laps,(we paid for 16 laps They called me in after 11 and my son's after 10) that you, by the way, paid for. We complained but no one would listen and they use scare tactics in the meeting room. Its all about the money !!!! I am a very unhappy customer!

Fantastic experience: I brought a racing package for my father in celebration for Father's Day. I will try to keep this review short and sweet. THIS WAS A PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! Being able to see how excited my father was by the end of his experience, it truly was a once in a lifetime experience. It filled my heart with a lot of joy. Thank you very much! Everyone was extremely friendly. We loved it! We will be coming back! I plan to gift my boss and my boyfriend the chance to experience the race cars as well. Thank you for a wonderful day!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I did 12 laps on the 0.88 mile Iowa Speedway track - it was a Father's Day present from my wife/kids. What an absolute blast!!! I will definitely do it again. And next time I'll probably do one of the even more expensive packages for even more laps of fun. Is there ever such a thing as "enough" when it comes to driving fast?! It's hard to find anything negative about my experience, but to offer up possible improvements... this could have even been better if 1) the GoPro recording was somehow tapped into my headset feed (and maybe add a microphone to me for it too???) and 2) there was a printout at the end detailing my lap times, top speed for each lap, etc, much like my kids get at our local go-cart place. Lastly, I want to highlight how great the entire crew was for this event. Very helpful, very positive, very eager to please! Great job all around. I'll end it with this... thank goodness I didn't get a speeding ticket on the way home that day!

Fantastic experience: Iowa Speedway - the entire team of employees were enjoyable to talk with. Being in the final group of the weekend several of the employees gave us their time after we were done driving, and didn't rush us out so they could get everything packed up. The spotter did an excellent job of communicating how to change my line to go faster. Looking forward to a Kenny Wallace experience in Knoxville on dirt.

Fantastic experience: I did my second trip this past Sunday. If you loved driving go carts as a kid this is for you. Last year I did the racing experience at Millville, NJ and drove a formula style car (not sure what it is actually called). This year I went to Dover Speedway with the Nascar type cars. This is something I will definitely do as much as possible. Everyone should do the ride along with a pro driver first. It gives you a chance to see the track a few times and also realize what the cars can do. The guy who was instructing me through my headset really made the day for me. He let me know when I was doing something wrong but also told me "go go go pass him" when the time was right. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming from the check-in to the class instructor to the guys working out on the track. I'm going to try to do this once a year if time allows.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. It took about 4 laps before I started getting comfortable with the track but after that I started to really enjoy myself and was able to experience the power of the car. The only thing that I believe could make it better is maybe having a lead car for the first lap or two so you know exactly where you should be on the track. Now that I do know my line I would definitely like to try it again.

Fantastic experience: We purchased this driving experience as a gift for our 81 year old Dad's birthday. He loved it. He had always wanted to drive a NASCAR. We all enjoyed our day tremendously. The whole Rusty Wallace crew was so nice, fun, and really did everything they could to make everyone have the best time ever! So friendly and helpful and accomodating. We would definitely recommend the Rusty Wallace team!!

Fantastic experience: had bought 6 laps for myself, my son and grandson as a Christmas present. We chose to use our coupons the first week of July, which gave us perfect weather for our outing. When we arrived we watched other drivers make their laps around the track at Michigan International Speedway. We went to our drivers meeting where everything was professionally explained on what to expect and how to make the day safe for everyone involved. We were then outfitted with driving suits and racing helmets. Everyone was so helpful and acted as if they were glad we were there. We had decided to upgrade to a ride-along. This was well worth the money, as he was able to show us how to lift going into the corners and drive out, maintaining optimal speed. It was truly a thrill to allow someone else to drive and watch the wall coming at you at over 160mph. LOL Words cannot express the rush experienced during that ride. Upon completion we were immediately taken to our respective cars where we were strapped in and given last minute instructions. We had such a good time on the ride along that we upgraded to 10 laps. What a rush to be able to feel the rumble of those horse waiting to get out of the gate. I have never experienced as great a thrill as driving around that track at full speed. It was truly amazing. After the 10 laps we were brought in and directed to go view our video. I still get a rush watching the video and seeing my marks come at me at full spped. I can't help but smile as I write this, of what a great time we had. My son and grandson are still facebooking about the experience and how much fun we had as a family. What a wonderful way to bond together, and no one else understands what we are talking about, because they have never had a Rusty Wallace Experience.

Fantastic experience: Before I tell you how AWESOME this was, let me tell you about the pre-race. I arrived at the track and was equally excited and nervous. Very quickly the staff had us into the process of check-in and getting to the classroom. From this point on, they removed all the anxiety. From the pre-race training, to the ride and drive prior to my drive (which is sooooo worth the extra money), to getting in the car, to the radio communication while driving, to the last lap... these guys hold your had as much or as little as you need. Now the drive - driving out of the pits and shifting through all four gears as you accelerate into turn 1 and 2 is amazing! The experience of going 150 mph into a banked turn with a spotter talking you through it is nothing short of amazing! Passing another NASCAR at 150 mph is amazing! Thanks for such a great experience!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Having raced Street Stocks on up to Late Models and some sports cars, I thought this was an over all great experience with an emphasis on fun and basically what I was looking for. I just wish the rev limiter was set a little higher, the car was capable of more and I got tired of being smoked by the ride along cars. LOL. It did give you a good idea of what driving a race car was all about and sure brought back memories and awakened the competitive spirit in me again. I felt well informed and safe. The staff was great. The only glitch was the video camera was not placed on my car and my 22 lap session was missed. However, Tanya (I think that was her name) in registration worked out a deal and I drove an extra 10 laps with the camera. She was great! I also did the ride along to get a feel for what they wanted you to do. Well worth the extra $80. I must say, I did have some nerves but after a lap and a half, I felt right at home again and was bumping up against the rev limiter quickly. The spotter was great. I may have caused him some grief however as I was anticipating him clearing me to pass, I closed up on some cars pretty quickly and he got on the radio to let me know LOL. Sorry What I want to know is how do I get a gig doing the Ride Alongs? ;)

Fantastic experience: The RWRE is a great time for people of all experience levels. I have driven in the NASCAR cars at both Atlanta and New Hampshire and I drove the open wheeled formula cars at Atlanta. All of the experiences have been well organized and the staff very professional. You can expect some time waiting in line before you get in a car but that is to be expected and the staff does their best to keep you comfortable. I also use that time to talk with other people about to get in a car to do a little trash talking or just find out how nervous they are about the experience. The highlights: the professional staff, the experience of being on the track with other cars, the instruction given to prepare you for driving, being at the tracks where professional drivers compete. The low-lights: the experience can be pricey but there are frequent special deals, the cars have a rev limiter and (for me) it could be set a little higher (I hit the limiter in the middle of both the front and back stretches. I know this is for safety but it was frustrating.) I highly recommend RWRE for anyone who enjoys driving fast.

Fantastic experience: It is a real racing experience! My first time in a Nascar and oval track was much easier with a professional ride that explained to me all car and track details, doing my driving much easier and enjoyable. Safety is a top priority for Rusty Wallace's team starting from instructor, crew members and spotter. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I bought my husband the 10-laps where he was the driver because lets face it no man wants to go fast and be the passenger! He loved being able to drive a real race car and GO FAST!! It was a smooth day from registration to the end where he got off the track to get out of the car. We bought the plaque for him as a souvenir to put in the basement since it truly was a great experience!

Negative experience: I got this for my boyfriend. We did Tom petty last time. Theirs good and bad. The good is most of staff was super cool, you get to drive alone. What I wasn't thrilled with is the video, it's only outside car no audio u can't hear the throttle or anything. They had video camera inside car so irritated me more. Plus we got no speeds info. How fast he'd go. I have to time a lap (figure ) his best lap, go on line find how long track is go find convertor then do the math. I didn't pay for a math class and he was dying to know 19hrs later I figure it out. Roughly!!! It just could be better.

Thank you to the staff for making it a great experience!
