Negative experience: So I went to go do my driving test today & Joseph the instructor failed me because I didn’t stop behind the stop sign, which I did & because I was in a 25 mph school zone going 26 mph & we’re just not gonna talk about how literally everyone who is failing is failing for the same reasons? Everyone is making the exact same mistake’s on there test? That school is such a scam & a rip off! I literally got robbed for $80 today because I know for a guaranteed fact that I passed that test but because Joseph the Asian who can’t even speak clear English but wants to be in the car telling someone how to drive said I failed I guess I failed. Do not recommend this school at all. Please go somewhere else if you don’t wanna get scammed for your money and time

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with this business. It seems they have a pattern of failing you on your first attempt and passing you on the second, which feels questionable given their steep $80 fee per test. A friend of ours tested this theory and, sure enough, he failed the first time and passed the second. The reasons given for both exams were inconsistent. The first exam claimed he failed to stop at three stop signs, including one in a school zone. Unfortunately, they don't allow passengers to ride along, so it's hard to verify. We're currently working on getting footage of the route. If you’re willing to pay $160 for your driving test, go ahead, but something about this place doesn’t feel right.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience ever. The instructor was very rude and racist to me. She made me feel like l was less human and lied that l was over speeding. Eversince l came to this country l never experienced any racism until l went to this place the way she looked at me and talked to me was very rude. I spend the whole day crying because of this experience and l will not recommend it to anyone. She did not even tell me her name but she was a young hispanic lady.

Negative experience: The instructors are over dramatic , I just laughed the way they were calling my name and I think she got salty because of that and at end of my driving test they failed me because of 2 reasons 1) I was not stopping before the stop sign , which I was doing , I was stopping before the stop sign , exactly at the white strip 2) I was maneuvering wrong while turing left which was my fault and she tried to grab my stealing wheel when I was still in my lane , again being over dramatic . I don’t think that they can fail me because of these two reason . Update Today is 10/08/24 I went to a different driving school and passed my driving exam in 1st attempt . I can clearly see the difference and would recommend people to avoid this driving school and also respectfully Mr/Mrs owner I was always ready to drive alone it’s just that your overreactive and egoistic instructor didn’t wanted to acknowledge that . It’s not like everything is wrong in this school but my point is that you have better choice to move forward

Fantastic experience: This was the first ever informational class I've taken on any subject that was enjoyable. My instructor, Chuck, was the reason why it was so enjoyable. He is very funny and makes sure that each individual in the class is familiar with the material before taking the test. I felt very comfortable in the classroom and would do it again if I had to.

Negative experience: WORST SCHOOL STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. 1st time i went there the lady closed at 3pm, i cant drive so i uber. I was like fine, i came back again. They not only made my test egregiously long 20 minutes but the instructor was incredibly rude to me. Infact the minute he failed me he was mocking me and all the other instructors were laughing straight at me. I have never felt more disrespected in my entire life, also considering i already paid them for the test that they were regardless going to fail me at. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. I recommend literally any other school

After the test he told me the few errors I had and then told me I had passed! I was nervous but they made the experience quick and painless.

Fantastic experience: Took me 3 tries to pass but they do test fair and square each time with a different driver, and they allow you to go out while you wait for your turn! Staff is also polite and kind!

Fantastic experience: The entire experience was extremely professional, and my tester was an incredibly helpful lady. I was worried after reading some of the reviews, but I think you'll find every place that administers tests has poor reviews from people that are upset they didn't pass. If you are a good driver, read the CO handbook section on the driver's test and you'll pass without issue.

Negative experience: Waste of time & money. They'll have you drive down random roads and fail you over the smallest mistake. The owner is an egotistical hot head jerk.

Negative experience: Paid 60 dollars to fail for going 26 after exiting a school zone, for the reason is because the very new law is that you have to go 20 m/h if there isn’t a speed limit posted and the lady told me after the fact?

Fantastic experience: Took a road test with Vanessa, and it was straightforward and smooth. Checkin process was easy, and service was quick as I got there at opening. Well maintained test vehicle as well, so it was close to what I was used to with cars I had driven. Appreciated ease of everything

Negative experience: Went in to take my driving test and got told my test was perfect but got failed anyways because I didn’t see that the school zone limit dropped from 25 mph to 20 mph and I was going 3 mph over 20 mph. I’m guessing the reviews are true about the Asian guy failing everyone because he was in the back seat and he failed me. When we got out of the car, the lady that was sitting next to me during the test went back to talk to him and I heard her say “no??” In confused manner as I was walking back into the place. If they are really scamming people for their money and failing them just so they come back at a $10 discount, then that is wrong and I recommend going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: My 16-year-old took her driver’s test here. We went during her lunch break, and it was a quick, smooth process. They were professional, and she was comfortable on the test, despite being nervous. When she came back, they offered a positive critique. I highly recommend.

I was provided a thorough critique upon completion. I would recommend for anyone in need of Driving Skills testing, which was my need.

Negative experience: Before reading, sort the reviews by most recent and you will see a very clear pattern. After every negative review, you will see it is followed by 3-4 five star reviews. This tells me that they have family or friends going in to clean up their poor reputation. All fake reviews aside, let’s get to the gist of why you should not place your business with Mile High Driver Training. As you can tell by the responses by whoever manages their Google reviews, you’ll get a clear understanding as to how their customer service is. Take your business elsewhere. I was failed twice for “incomplete stops”. The first time, I thought maybe they were right, maybe I wasn’t coming to a full and complete halt. So I practiced and went back the second time, consciously ensuring that my vehicle came to a complete halt at every stop sign and red light, feeling my car stop. There were times where I couldn’t see traffic due to shrubs and had to pull up more after initially stopping in the correct position, but I always yielded and made sure I stopped when I could see properly. I was dinged for turning right on a red light after having looked both ways to ensure I was safe to go, apparently I didn’t stop all the way and I do take accountability for this mistake. I was dinged for the breaks being slammed at a dip that didn’t have a sign posted, my bad but i took appropriate action regardless. I was also dinged for not using my mirrors when I was in fact using them. After reading through the reviews from other people, this seems to a common occurrence. I didn’t raise an eyebrow when I learned that they have a 40% fail rate which is utterly ridiculous, it’s not like people go to take their driving tests when they’re not equipped at all to pass. It feels like they want you to fail here so you pay them another $80 you don’t have. I’d also like to address how rude and unprofessional the staff is. They seem to actually enjoy berating anyone that comes through the door, and throwing attitude left and right like it’s the highlight of their day. They also have no problem gossiping about clients and airing their personal business out to dry in front of everyone in the room. Don’t even try to breathe in their direction or ask them how their day is when they enter your vehicle and sit in your passenger seat. You will be met with bombastic side eye and general unpleasantness, further adding to the already nerve wracking and uncomfortable experience. I understand now after reading their comments here that they are not allowed to speak during the test, which is totally reasonable. But they will not bother to inform you of this and will instead be stone cold and rude to you for seemingly no reason at all other than being a person who is unlicensed. It is an accurate representation of their business. If you want to be treated with any dignity or respect I suggest you go elsewhere. Edit: I made a report to the BBB due to having not received any form of receipt of payment, nor any information regarding the results of my test that I could review with my own eyes. I also learned that they’re not accredited with the BBB. It’s wild that in their response they even failed professionally with their passive aggressiveness. Again, take your business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office was super friendly and ready to answer any questions about the process. Being able to walk-in for a test is a great option and the staff made the wait comfortable and enjoyable.

Negative experience: Old woman no customer service has. She ask me driving test want to do it English or Spanish. She came back we done for the day. It’s just 4:00. Please don’t go there

Negative experience: My examiner was unfriendly, and didn't introduce himself. My score sheet was reviewed to me by an office person, who wasn't even in the car. She informed me that I failed by 2 points, because I let the steering wheel slide through my hands back to center after turning (true), I wasn't "centered in my lane" (dash cam shows otherwise), and I didn't stop behind the line at stop signs (dash cam footage also contradicts this, showing otherwise). I was congratulated for following all traffic laws. After further reflection, I called back, and was told something different regarding my score sheet. If course, I was invited back to retest. There's no way I would reward unprofessional and unscrupulous behavior by coming spending more time and money with this business. I opted to retest elsewhere, and passed with no errors, despite changing nothing aside from my grip on the wheel. This examiner also informed me that it wouldn't be possible to accumulate enough errors to fail due to letting the wheel slide back to center through my hands. Take your business elsewhere.

Negative experience: There was a long wait, they only take cash ($80) and they fail almost everyone on purpose to make you come back and pay more. Terrible place if you want to take your drivers test or permit.

Negative experience: The absolute worst experience. The moment I stepped in this place a very unprofessional staff Vanessa was rude. I asked her for help and got nothing but attitude. Decided to let that go because I just wanted to do my test. Waited patiently for almost 2 hours and during that time heard Vanessa get very annoyed with the customer that was before me, she walked behind the counter and told Karen, “see, this is why I don’t like helping Latinos!” Was a shock because she’s a Latina herself, I felt that was very inappropriate and disrespectful. It’s like she got offended anytime a customer walked in there to get service or ask questions and definitely was not afraid to express it either. She even accused me of being mad because I failed my test, (not the case at all) which by the way wasn’t a shock after reading some of these reviews. There’s a lot more I could say but if you decide to do business here you’ll see for yourself. On the plus side the owners were very helpful and understanding when I made a complaint.

Negative experience: Really bad service!!!!!! The people are not friendly and unpleasant. The feeling that they all have extra hours after work in the DMV. I wanted to pass driving test. They gave me some papers to read, then it turned out that if you don’t pass, you have to pay another $15 at the DMV, you can’t sign up online. I live 2 hours from any DMV, I don't have a car and I always have to ask someone to ride me. The school does not talk about risks. The instructor is also unpleasant. When I called on the phone, they tried to end the conversation, referring to the fact that they did not understand me, I am a foreigner. In general, they just shake money out of people without warning about the risks, very bad service. I do not recommend I work in a large organization, we have a lot of foreigners coming for the summer and they all need a driver's license. I thought to establish contacts with this school, but no.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience here yesterday! (5/19/23) Everyone was super nice and friendly and I felt no pressure from my driving instructer the entire time I was doing my test and everything just went so smoothly. It's the first place that I've been to that doesn't take appointments and only takes cash but that's no inconvenience at all because they have an ATM inside their building and I'm usually an early bird so I was there when they opened. I really enjoyed going here for my driving test and I recommend anyone who still needs to take theirs to go here!

Fantastic experience: Karen was so wonderful! She instructed both of our kids. She is patient and kind, yet firm when needed. She truly cares about the kids and getting them ready to safely take on the responsibility of driving. Both kids took the exam and passed on the first try! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Negative experience: Do. Not. Go. Here. This was a miserable, anxiety inducing experience. The person giving my driving text (Ari?) refused to speak other than giving directions (ex “please turn left at the stop sign”). This did not feel like the customer service deserved after paying $80 in cash. Additionally it has been related to me that they have a 40% fail rate. Don’t go here. If I could give no stars I would.

Negative experience: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!! The very first they will tell you is that they only except CASH!!! Don't worry they have their very own ATM right inside the waiting room right next to the counter! I was failed for not having 2 hands on the wheel WHILE SHIFTING GEARS WHICH IS ERRONEOUS, OUTRAGEOUS AND IMPOSSIBLE!! The dashcam video from the so called driving test dictates what a SCAM this company is!! Video shows that I absolutely should have passed the driven test!!! Read All the horrible reviews before getting SCAMMED by Mile High!!! If you become a victim of their SCAM contact the BBB AND THE STATE!!!!

Negative experience: How many don"t go here comments do you have to read for you not to come here! This place is a huge scam I did my test their and the instructor said you drive so good but im not going to pass you I was shocked. I went to another place I told the lady there how I went to a driving test place that was a scam(aka here) before even saying the name the lady already knew what I was talking about. They will just take your money! Edit: I didn't receive any corrections you guys are just a scam but thank you for trying to take the credit!

Negative experience: So one week before I did my driving test with them and they failed me and they told me to join their class so that they can teach me well by listening to them I just joined the class and they charged 200 $ for 2hours and teach me nothing other than yelling and making me more scared. So if you (Mile High) don't know how to teach students please study that first and do this it will help other people and also try to learn how to behave to a student who came to learn driving. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: They were all very willing to work with me and they are super nice. You do sometimes have to wait a little but I had no problem with that as they were working very hard. You can tell they actually care.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my experiences here. I took the test last year and they failed me and I came back to take the test here today and my examiner wasn’t even able to tell me what I did wrong but somehow he told me I only got 22 points - unbelievable! I won’t be returning to this location in the future and don’t recommend this to other test takers. Sleazy business practices to get your 80 bucks, feels like a scam to me.

Negative experience: Horrible staffing for a place offering drivers test across the street from a DMV. Can't belive I waited 3 hours to take a drivers test with six people ahead of me because they only had one driver instructor. I can't see with them charging everyone 80 dollars to do a drivers test that they can't hire some help. Also door glass was broken looked ghetto like it wasn't even open.

Negative experience: Horrible place to go. They only have one driver instructor but three cars they can use, also they just take you through all residential area no highway driving. So if it snows don't go here they can't figure out a better driving driving path but through every area that wasn't plowed. Will not be returning for any service to this run down place

Positive experience: Experience may vary, my only suggestions are that you request a receipt for your cash payments, and record your driver's test on your own phone, so that you have a reference for any notes your tester may have. One honest perk is you may use your own vehicle if it meets safety standards! Take a look of shared photos from other reviewers, it will give you an honest view of client/service relations. Friendly reminder that this is a private business and not a state funded entity, it is the client's responsibility to make sure their needs are met fairly.

Fantastic experience: The guy who teaches it is great, and he will definitely give you all the information you need to pass the exam. If anyone wants to pass the written test, I recommend coming here first, I tried studying on my own but I kept failing, When I got here, I tried and passed and it was only there for a few hours. Thank you guys so much. (sorry I kept forgetting to review this place)
