Fantastic experience: There are not enough positive things I can say about Neil, Meli, and the entire 1st Choice CDL Academy program. It is entirely structured for you to succeed. Aside from being great people who are very honest, professional, and easy to communicate with, they are invested in your success from the moment you walk in the door. The environment they’ve cultivated at 1st Choice allowed me to focus entirely on learning the proper methods without having to worry about negative social interactions. Everyone was friendly, extremely supportive and most of all really helpful. I really can’t recommend this academy enough, not just as an institution but also the people running it, they are great human beings and they actually care. Negative experience: This is a real review I came here on 4/16/2024 and had a horrible and RACIST experience. Won’t speak on anyone cause I know there will be repercussions but just avoid this place if you’re a specific type of minority.

Fantastic experience: Mr Niel is by far the best instructor you will ever come across. This isn’t a joke this is my honest an opinion as his student. Him and Mrs Melli are very patient and will work with you if you ever get in a hiccup. Mr Niel explains everything from pre trip inspection to maneuvers to public driving in the most simplest and easiet way possible. Watch his videos back to back and recite them like the Bible and when it comes to your actual test you will sound just like him. But using the steps and guidelines that Mr. Neil teaches, the information falls right into place when taking your test. Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with Neil and Meli, in only 2 weeks of training, (after a last minute decision of starting the course) I was studying the 80 hs course, the cdl test, and manouvers all together. And I was able to accomplish them all. It was lot of work but it paid off. I am civil engineer and I normally love to double check everything with makes me study a little more. It is very doable just need to focus on all Neil's requests and tecnichs. This course is a time saver. Loved. I passed on first attempt I have never driven a truck in my life before.
