Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience here! I am 5 ft. never rode before a day in my life. They accommodate short people like me and that was awesome! I had just got a bike and decided to try this place and I'm so grateful i chose here! I have major anxiety and tend to get very stressed in a test environment. The trainers were patient and professional. It felt natural and comfortable when they explained and put into action for each step for preparation for the test. I thoroughly enjoyed learning and not feeling like I wasn't going to be able to do it. They were encouraging each step of the way and got to know your strengths and weaknesses quickly and ensured they made sure to give proper tips for better execution of each exercise. Also, if you fail you can retest once at no cost, which slightly gave a bit of relief. Thank you for an amazing experience. I will have any of my biker girlies head here when they're ready to ride! Positive experience: I am 62 yrs old and wanted to get back to riding again. The class size was good and the trainers were professional. The class all male , mostly ages from 19 to 35 or so. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is the program was very rushed, trying to stay to schedule. They allowed us a 7min bathroom break. Lord help you if you were late! Lol..but in all seriousness, this class is about the quickest way to get some tips and get endorsement. The rest is really up to you!

Fantastic experience: At 52, I've waited 37 years to do this very thing... learn how to ride a motorcycle, and the people at MRT made it happen. The closest thing I've ever experienced physically to the two days at MRT was running a half-marathon. It was intense. I came home exhausted. I never imagined I'd not only pass the tests but actually be riding a motorcycle. Granted, I'm still nowhere near comfortable to ride on the road, but my coaches Mike and Megan made the entire process seem easy. I can't imagine having a better set of people teach me how to do anything. During the two days, they were actively monitoring our progress, giving meaningful, understandable advice, and occasionally reminding us to keep our eyes up looking ahead. I dropped the motorcycle on day 2 early in the training and Mike immediately took care of me and made sure I was ok before I resumed the training. The bike was fine so I was back out on the range; confidence completely shattered, but back. By the end of the day I had regained enough confidence to take and pass the exams. I had to take a full day to sit and think about the entire weekend experience, but I think they should be charging 10 times what the asking price is for the BRT program for what you get out of the program. You're having three professional motorcycle trainers watch over a small group of 12 riders. You get immediate feedback and assistance. You won't get that kind of student-teacher ratio even in an elementary school classroom. The program is tough. You have to ask yourself continually if you have what it takes to actually do t his. It is as much a mental exercise as it is physical because your body has zero experience doing this. I never felt pressured, I was never yelled at or ridiculed. I've ridden mountain bikes and road bikes all my life and aside from the sense of balance they gave me, I actually think they worked against me because I'm so used to front brakes on the left and rear brakes on the right. Time will tell if this is something I can really do and do well. Despite the physical and mental exertion as well as the sore left side from the drop, the experience was so overwhelmingly positive I would recommend this to anyone... but only if you go to MRT at Raceway Park, and only if Mike and Megan are your coaches.

Fantastic experience: Best experience! Instructors were great and knowledgeable. I am very pleased I chose them for instruction and licensing. They take care of everything. You just have to go to the MVC after completing the training.

Fantastic experience: MRT has top coaches compare to other schools specially Riders Education school in Piscataway. Me and my friend had very bad experience over there, we came for testing at MRT and I must admit Sue was very helpful. She gave us proper instruction what to do in testing and I nailed it with perfect assessment. More in that compare to Riders education all the bikes in MRT were pretty maintained and there were no issues. I also must say Robert is very nice guy and speaks with student with so much respect. MRT has better visualization in range compare to Riders education. I would 100% recommend to get training from MRT for motorcycle license. Thank you so much Robert and Sue !!

Fantastic experience: My instructors Mat, Donna, and Dusty were very knowledgeable and thorough. It was a pleasure to learn from them. The class was well structured, and designed in such a way that anyone can learn to ride. I highly recommend this course to learn essential riding skills. Lots of Motorcycle riding time was a huge plus as well.

Negative experience: Worst school with old motorcycles which don’t want to start. Staff don’t want to help you if any problem. Don’t be surprised if you get extra bill to pay after you finish class. It’s looks like so many fake reviews on this page.

I came in with 0 experience and after the 2 days i was able to successfully pass and was comfortable enough to continue practicing on my own. They were extremely helpful and gave the best feedback. I am 5"2 so I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to even do the course but they accommodated me. I will definitely recommend you guys to everyone, thank you for all your help.

Negative experience: Beginner riders BE AWARE!!! 2 days and $375 in the trash after attending this 2 day course. If you don't know the basics on how motorcycles work BEFORE attending this course, you will regret attending. For beginners: You'll benefit a lot more from YouTube learning how to ride then attending this 15 hours / 2 day course. I attended both days and learned the hard way. They teach their students everything BUT the basics. I WALKED AWAY NOT EVEN KNOWING THAT A MOTORCYCLE HAS MORE THAN 2 GEARS. I got on my 1st bike to practice and when I hit 60mph on 2nd gear I'm wondering why its not moving and vibrating excessively. Also they don't teach their students WHATSOEVER how to upshift and downshift smoothly. I regret going. My main focus was to learn how to ride and I didn't accomplish that. The bare minimum I can ask for is a refund for that waste of money. My coaches were Bob and Patrick. UPDATE after your reply: Your response has not answered any part of the first half of my review whatsoever. It is very clear from your response that you simply cannot apologize and admit that there's room and necessity for improvement in your services. Therefore you seem to be flipping the blame on me. Re: "our experience may have more to do with you than the course" For total beginners like myself, it is YOUR responsibility to teach YOUR students the BASICS enough that it is safe to get on and practice on their own. And YOU haven't accomplished that. You go through many excersizes along with safety features which is great, but a big part of the basics for beginners you leave out. Therefore I am letting beginners know that they'd be better off finding a better facility to learn how to ride. Re: "Unfortunately, everyone cannot ride a motorcycle, and everyone is not able to be successful taking classes, perhaps that is why you “walked away not even knowing that a motorcycle has more than 2 gears.” Again, you seem to be putting me at fault here, when it's YOUR responsibility to teach your students how to ride. I actually did very well on the excersizes and the entire course. So that wasn't the issue. Also keep in mind: unlike they advertise on their website "2 days to get your license" keep in mind that you cannot legally ride when you leave with their paperwork, you still need to go to DMV to get the motorcycle endorsement attached to your license before you ride. Additionally unlike they advertise "no permit required", during class you will be given a written test which you must complete. and although you don't have to take the permit at DMV you will be required to pay the small fee at DMV for the permit.

Fantastic experience: Great place to get training on being a safe rider . I went in without ever being on a motorcycle and after the two very informative days I am comfortable enough to get on and have a nice cruise . Matt, mark and Meaghan were very attentive to our whole group but also would call out individual errors or even great things they saw you do. All and all I can see myself going back to get even more training ! Their foundation for riding is awesome!

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. Bob and Brian were the coaches for my group they are a great DUO. They have lots of knowledge and make it fun at the same time. Lots of 1 on 1 coaching even though the groups have multiple people. 10/10 would recommended coming here to learn to ride!

They made sure that they delivered instruction clear and concise as well encouraged us to ask questions if there was something we didn’t understand. Fantastic experience: Donna, Matt, Nelson were my coaches for the 2 days. They were excellent at teaching safe techniques. There’s no free licenses given out here, so wouldn’t recommend this to an absolute beginner. Need some experience going slow before you get here. BRC was excellent in my path to license.

Fantastic experience: Two days ago, the only thing I’ve ridden on two wheels was a bicycle. I had no idea what a clutch was, other than hearing horror stories my friends stalling in older sports cars. Today I earned a perfect score on the endorsement test! The coaches are above and beyond “above and beyond” These guys know what’s up and you will have a BLAST learning! Would give more stars if google would let me!! Fantastic experience: Took the Basic Rider Course this weekend with MRT. Highly recommended this course. The instructors were amazing. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable on the skills and safety of operating a motorcycle. I will be signing up my two boys next week to take the course. Fantastic experience: I was referred by a friend and I would absolutely refer a friend to attend this class, my coaches were Mark, Bob, Megan, and Sue, they were all informative, approachable and helpful! I'm a mildly seasoned dirt biker but I feel their tips will absolutely make me a better rider on the road once I turn my paperwork into the MVC, even if you've never been on a bike this team will provide you with the knowledge to be successful on two wheels!

Fantastic experience: My name is Jordon, I had the absolute pleasure to deal with Donna, Nelson(?), and Mat. Donna made sure our classroom was welcoming, didn’t make a single person feel left out. She ensured everyone understood everything that we went over and left the door open to answer any questions. Nelson(?) was an absolute beast when it came to giving constructive criticism. His word play was phenomenal. He’d pull your card, however, he’d explain to you how to fix your mistakes. Without being rude. Mat was an extremely knowledgeable gentleman as well. Very witty and super personable. Made sure that everyone was having a blast and cracked jokes anytime he saw fit. I gave these guys a run for their money both days and boy, can they keep up. I knew how to ride prior to showing up but I left my ego at the door and allowed them to teach me more than what I had previously known. Do not be afraid to speak, joke around, and have fun. They want you to do that. Everyone is there to learn, and have a good time. You’re on a bike, sittin’ in the sun all day. They’re off a bike sittin’ in the sun all day. Everyone was hot and sweaty but we all managed to have an absolute blast. Do not second guess on where to go. This place will 100% take care of you. They want you to be safe and not a single time did I question whether or not that was their priority. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with everyone there. I will very much recommend this to anyone looking to get their endorsement. Thanks so much for being yourselves. You guys are awesome.

Fantastic experience: *If you get Brian as your riding coach, you got the most challenging coach. He runs the program like a Drill Sergeant, he uses a lot of foul language, cracks jokes, yells and will make fun of students. He gives off retired cop vibes. Sensitive people may be offended, but I thought he was an effective instructor and his humor was great. He definitely wasn't as easy, relaxed or sweet as some others like Donna, Sue, Mat or the others mentioned in other reviews here.* With that said, it was a great experience overall especially after passing the skills test. The multiple choice written test, taken on Day 1, requires you to get an 80% (answer 20 out of 25 questions correct), the written test was a lot more forgiving than the motorcycle skills test that takes place on the end of Day 2. Many people didn't pass their written test when initially handing their paper in, but were allowed to fix their mistakes. The skills test was a lot more pressure, which caused most people to perform worse than they did in practice. I do think that they were a bit more lenient than what you would see at a skills test at the DMV, as many people didn't get their speed up enough and were allowed immediate second tries. Good way to get your license and learn proper riding & safety that some riders on the road lack. Some who failed their skills test were allowed free retries, which is nice. I recommend MRT if you want to really learn the basics in two days and possibly get your M endorsement, it probably isn't the easiest school to offer MSF courses, but it is a very complete one.

They really take the time to make sure you know what you’re doing and prepare you for the outside riding world. Huge shout out to Brian for helping me when I was struggling. Negative experience: Hello! I am writing this review only to make those interested in this program be aware of injustices. First, I would like to make the exclaim that I already have my M endorsement on my license and taking this course was just a refresher. After all, I am fully invested in getting as much safety training as possible and sharing these wonderful tips learned to existing riders when needed. MRT training is intense and thorough as it should be and much appreciated however, I am giving this company a 1 rating and I would have given them a zero if it weren’t for the content of safe riding and for some of the instructors who gave amazing feedback and people I met there. Let’s get into it! One of the final exam instructors provided incorrect feedback which impacted my score, which is one of the founding factors for my overall rating of MRT. I experienced something I thought I would not experience in 2024, but unfortunately, I did - injustice. The reason I came to this conclusion- one, I was the only black woman in my class and the only one to received an unfair evaluation due to lies. I’m all for owning up to my mistakes-shoot I had nothing to lose in this refresher course, however, my treatment was by far totally wrong. I had been lied on and told I did something I know I did not do. First, the final evaluation instructor I spoke of in the beginning made several statements indicating he could not read his own writings and had a hard time making out what he actually wrote. Then when he finally got to my final evaluation on what the occurrences were, two items were totally invalid statements. When I brought this to his attention and challenged my score it was my word against theirs. I asked them to prove all of the errors and they could not. Then the excuses started when I brought up other riders I witnessed make mistakes and at this point a back and forth on which I had no interest in doing. But there was one crucial point, another fellow student mentioned they did not see or witness what was recorded on what I had supposedly did wrong. Moreover, let’s get back to injustice or is it discrimination which is why I bring it up and if so how this is a major concern for many reasons but I’ll share two factors in my experience with MRT- first - from day one there were comments made about specific drivers, I won’t go into the whole conversation for many reasons, but I’ll say this, the comments made in a joking manner against a group of people were wrong and this made me uncomfortable and further made me think about what other groups of people are they making jokes about. Second- I had the privilege to watch the other students before and after my evaluation and I personally witness others make errors but one of my female classmates made errors on the same obstacle in the final training evaluation I did, and this is how I knew something was really really wrong- low and behold at the end when her results were read -she had a perfect score. Wait a minute! This is ludicrous. Out of this same students mouth after lining up behind me to prepare for the next obstacle stated with her own mouth she knew she messed up as she exclaimed to her friend who was taking the course too and they both were behind me. Please tell me how in the world did this person receive a perfect score- There is absolutely No way. By the way, the other female was not black. Is this discrimination or a lack of training? How could I refer someone to this organization? The instructors did not know I had an M endorsement until the end when I shared this information. One of the instructor’s last words to me was, “what does it matter you got your license” and my response was that it makes a whole world of a difference when someone intentionally lies on you-so it does matter.

Fantastic experience: I can most definitely say that the courses are beginner friendly. My instructor Bob made sure I understood every exercise from beginning to end. Whenever I made a mistake, my instructor Vicky corrected me in a way that was easy to understand. The educational videos breakdown, life lessons on what to do and what not to do. I will 100% recommend using their service for a beginner trying to get their motorcycle license.

Fantastic experience: So much fun! I took this course because I’ve always thought about riding and finally decided to try it! I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before but by the time I left I had all the knowledge to continue safely practicing on my own! I ended up getting my own bike after getting the license and love it. The coaches Matt and Donna were fantastic! They went over every point very thoroughly and if you needed some extra help they were right by your side! As a girl I was nervous about possibly being the only one there because I had went to the class alone. Don’t let that stop you! Everyone is so nice and there were more girls taking the course! Overall a great experience I’m very happy I did it and even made some friends too! Highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Two of us went together ! We had Mike and Daniella wonderful coaches. They made sure to keep us together in the same class (just mention it before the class that you’d like to stay together). It’s seems a bit fast pace but they always give opportunities for questions etc. and they have roughly 12 people per class so it has to be to keep everything on track . This was a challenging yet amazing experience . If this is something you’re interested in doing what are you waiting for. Just do it ! Ps : I’ve never rode a motorcycle before at all and I passed !

Fantastic experience: The team including Megan, Robert, and Matt are awesome. I had an outstanding time and fun getting to learn how to ride a motorcycle and getting the license through MRT. It would be great if they updated their videos to a newer version. Current videos are pretty old.

Fantastic experience: Daniella and Bob are wonderful! As someone who had zero knowledge going into it, I’ve never even driven a manual car, these two made learning fun and low pressure. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. Tip: go into it light hearted, ask questions, and participate and it makes it way more enjoyable. Also you make friends with other riders!
