Negative experience: Didn’t use their service, but one of the instructors tried to cut me off in traffic and then flipped us off. Big no no. Edit: Obviously you weren't paying attention to the review at all. I DID NOT use your service. If you could have read the review before going off on it because your feelings got hurt by a one star review, you would have seen that I was not even using your service. The issue I was addressing was that I was on the road, driving like a normal, safe person, (nowhere near the median in fact, because I was in the right lane, get your facts straight) when one of your instructors, who was in the car alone, was obviously not checking his blind spots, something I assumed you all would teach. You obviously don't teach basic driving habits, because he nearly ran into me before stopping just in time. I also recommend you look back at that footage, as the instructor specifically pointed at me before flipping me off. I couldn't help but laugh at this short tempered attempt to get back at me for something I didn't even do in the first place. Obviously, you need to make sure you have your facts straight and you are talking about the same driver when you respond. Also, as far as your response goes, I looked through many of the responses you gave to many of the one star reviews, and I noticed a pattern. No matter what the situation, you seem to always find a way to reprimand the review writer without any regard to the fact that you consider yourself a professional business. I can't help but laugh at your pitiful failure to respond to my own review, and I encourage you to simply apologize.

Fantastic experience: 911 came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The business is run professionally and our Instructor, Michael Hamilton, had a calming presence on our anxious student. The feedback after each lesson was appreciated. We will use them again for our next driver!

Fantastic experience: My driver Shanon taught me and guided me very well through the few courses we had together. He taught me tricks on how to maneuver a car that I will continue to remember. He was always really kind and funny to be around which brought a welcoming experience to my driving courses. I do recommend 911 driving school.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with the Greenville 911 Driving School was excellent!!! My son found the classroom portion very informative and engaging. He did his driving sessions with Officers Matt Pittman & Michael Hamilton and thoroughly enjoyed driving with both of them. My son also completed his driving exam with Officer Hamilton. He felt very prepared and was able to pass it on his first attempt. Both officers gave me and my wife feedback after each drive. From start to finish everything went very smooth. This is a very professionally run outfit that I highly recommend to anyone that needs driving training for their young one!

I had three drives with him, the last one being my test, and he is very patient and a very good teacher. Scheduling was easy and everyone who works there is very friendly! Five stars isn’t enough!!

My kid was comfortable which was super important. We paid for the drivers test to be done by 911 and it went smoothly. Took to our local DMV and turned the paperwork in and my kid was set.

Negative experience: All the folks that work there are nice enough but the owner of this franchise is a inflexible and lacks all tools necessary for proper customer service. Due to unforeseen circumstances my daughter was only able to complete the 2 hours of the 8 hours I paid for. I was not looking for my money back just someone to spend a hour or two showing my daughter how to improve a few driving techniques and this greedy human that lacks a spine can keep the rest of my money. He would not return any of our calls and refused to have any discussion about the circumstances. In addition no where on the website does it state that you have a limited about of time to use the hours you pay for. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Super convenient that they offer the written test and driving test at their office so you just walk in to the DMV and get your permit and license without waiting!

The instructors were extremely patient with her and she is a much more skilled driver now. My son is almost ready for his permit and I will definitely be sending him there as well.

Fantastic experience: The best! My daughter went to another local company, my son to 911. My daughter was basically skipped through; had wrecks & was kicked off my insurance. My son was failed by 911 & had to re-take the drivers test. To this day he is the BEST most responsible driver and it’s been over 10 years. I would highly recommend 911. It makes sense that these officers would make sure they are good drivers.

Fantastic experience: We used a budget company with our oldest & did not see any improvement in our oldest child's driving abilities. Consequently, we tried 911 for our youngest child & saw vast improvements. To top it off, they offer the driving test themselves.

They took their time and explained the process and made my son feel comfortable while taking the paper test. I highly recommend! Staff was the best and very professional! Fantastic experience: The idea of having my teenaged daughter behind the wheel was one of the most nerve-racking experiences in my life. Then, after learning about 911 Driving school, their background, and meeting the instructors in person, I had complete peace of mind moving forward. I appreciated how thorough they were from start to finish, and it was impressive to learn that they had to stay up to date on the current traffic laws. My child's safety in the car, as well as even after she passed her test, was their upmost priority. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. If you are going to learn to drive, what better way to learn than from police officers... :)

Fantastic experience: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! All the instructors especially Shannon and Don have been so amazzzzing to my kids and the woman who runs the front office is so sweet!!! My son just got his license and my daughter is slowly but surely working her way towards hers! I'm not rushing her and either are they! They are patient with her weaknesses and so positive with her strengths and have given her the confidence I wasn't able to when I tried teaching her! Very happy with the way they teach.

Negative experience: I really wanted to give this program a good review, but I feel that I've given them more than a fair chance to respond professionally to our situation. Back in March, on her second drive, my child was treated very poorly by her police officer instructor. He made awful racist comments to her, carried his gun on his hip (why is this necessary?), and made her stop at a gas station so that he could get a DONUT (yes, for real). She obviously had trouble focusing on this particular drive (although she did great on drives #1 & #3- further evidence that the officer was the problem). The owner did give us a free drive to make up for this “bad” one, but I was told he would be watching the dashcam/ footage and get back to me. Then I was told that there was an IT issue and a new PC was being ordered for him to watch the footage. Then months went by, and still no action or follow-up phone call from the owner. Am I just meant to forget about this? Fade away? “Leave them alone?” I paid a decent amount of $$ to this program… for my child to be judged by the color of her skin. I trusted them with my most precious cargo… for my child to be made to feel worthless. I wonder what this police officer instructor would do had a complete stranger treated his child the way he treated mine. If you have a black child (or likely any minority), please do not send them out to drive ALONE with an ARMED officer who may or may not discriminate against your child. I would not take this risk again, and am very disappointed in their lack of action / follow through regarding this issue.

Fantastic experience: The class and driving lessons were great. My 15 yo son enjoyed all of the instructors and even had conversations with them lol! My only caveat is the scheduling. Schedule as early as possible and don’t count on lesson definitely occurring. I believe our situation was unique—quite a few friends and neighbors did not experience this—but every single one of our lessons has to be canceled and rescheduled by the driving school. It ultimately required a delay in getting his license and created a good bit of angst with both of us parents and teen all having full time jobs and weekend commitments. In the end we still loved our experience and totally understand the officers getting pulled for more important jobs/police dept shortages—but just know that as stated on their site this is not a short/guaranteed timeline and may require a decent amount scheduling flexibility. I wish there were some same day slots reserved for cancellations on their behalf or credit given after 1+ cancellations on their end. Son is driving and learned a lot and knock on wood has taken his new found freedom and skills very seriously after these lessons and real life examples from his instructors.

For instance how to look ahead not just at the autos just close in front of you. i came close being sandwiched between two semi trucks on I-85 a few years ago. With this course I learned how to avoid being in that situation again. i highly reccomend this course to anyone who wants to sharpen up their driving skills!

Negative experience: The driving portion seems fine and my kid has learned. However, they have cancelled his driving times on us twice and then wanted to reschedule one of the drives almost 2 months later. The second cancelled drive they wanted to reschedule 2 weeks later. This is getting to be beyond frustrating!

Fantastic experience: 911 was so good to us as the pandemic hit changing the way we live. At this point my daughter was enrolled @ 911 so we had to drop back and punt as she was worried about covid so we let her decide what she wanted to do in this unprecedented time. Well she wanted to delay her lessons. So 911 let us transfer her credits over to her brothers account to get his license and overall they were very helpful and the best.

Negative experience: I felt this driving academy would be best at putting my daughter, who was terrified to drive, at ease providing her with solid instruction however I was wrong. The initial instructor was ok albeit a little chatty with her but the instructor that gave her the test had her terrified. After taking the class she was still terrified to go in reverse and unable to parallel park. All in all I am not impressed with the training that she received so disappointed that when it came time for her brother to learn I sent him to a different school entirely.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Thacker was such a great instructor. He helped my daughter be more confident while driving which of course made this mama more confident about her driving. He had great feedback and insight after each lesson. I would definitely recommend 911 Driving School!

Positive experience: Have had two students take lessons here. The first experience was great from start to finish. Four stars because of scheduling issues. The second experience has been a little bumpy with getting driving times that are not at 5:30 in the morning or during the school day. Instructors are knowledgeable and staff is friendly.

Negative experience: We had a horrible experience here. I would not recommend this driving school. Parents, if you have a child who doesn't do well with strict, curt treatment, please find another match. My daughter went in today and was given a driving test with Brian. He was so incredible disappointing and unprofessional. Our test was at 7 am and he spent nearly 10 minutes while my daughter sat in the car to flirt with another instructor who also had a student just sitting in the car. He made no effort to speak to or create any rapour with my daughter. At the end of the lesson, he failed my daughter because of something another driving did at the end of the test that threw her off despite her doing all the other big things like parrel parking correctly. When I asked him if we could get feedback on her test he said he was trying to go over it with her when I approached but didn't do it because I was there, so we did not receive any feedback. I asked for a copy of the feedback and he said he couldn't give it to me and only photocopied the receipt. At this point he was unbelievably rude. I don't think I've been treated this poorly ever before by a business. I have to say I walked out of there truly shooken up by what transpired. I paid $55 for the test and could have gone to the DMV. I had hoped the experience would have been more professional. I am confident my dauther will pass at the DMV and will update with post once that happens. Parents, I urge you not to use this school. I am a high teacher in Greenville County and this place is just a terrible place. We have had the worst instructors. All very country, rude and intimadating. If you are looking for a program to scare your child into driving safely, this is it, but if you have a conscientious child this program is DEFINITELY not for you! You are paying money to be bullied by the instructors.

The staff was truly interested in helping her be successful and really worked with us and our schedule to help her finish her drives. We would highly recommend their services!

Fantastic experience: I signed my son (16 yrs old) up for driving lessons - the 8 hour course and 4 2-hour driving sessions and it's been great. He was struggling listening to me but the professional people at 911 are not only very knowledgibe but they can relate to teens so well. Well worth it if you have a teen learning to drive, they teach all the safety stuff I don't remember from way back when I was learning.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. This is my second experience with a driving school. We used a different school for initial driver training and 911 driving school is much better. The school is very organized. You schedule your driving lessons online. The parent and child are sent reminders before the lesson. The instructors are police officers and did a good job instructing. I specifically asked for a list of less stern officers because my child was very concerned about this and they worked with me. Also, as this is during COVID-19, I also asked for a list of officers willing to wear a mask and the school did so. The officers that instructed my child were very professional and my child and I were pleased with their instruction.

Fantastic experience: We used 911 Driving School for both our daughters. They were highly professional, calm, and friendly to our girls. They enjoyed their experience and are both safe drivers. I would highly recommend for anyone's children.
