Cy Fair Driving School

Negative experience: They make you do the driving test in their cars instead of your own, which would be okay if they were decent; they're not. Enormous blind spots, creaking breaks, poor acceleration, etc. The instructor I had also gave vague, mutter-y instructions and even reached over to honk the horn at another car while yelling at them in another language, even though that car wasn't doing anything to warrant it. With everything combined, I would've honestly failed myself on that test. The person at the front desk said no one had failed in her time there, and I'm thinking that's not really a good thing. If you can't drive at all, go here and you'll still pass the test.

Negative experience: disgusting school, it seems that they are only looking for a reason to rip off money from students. due to a mistake by the DMV who opened the envelope with the test results and did not look at all the documents, we have to pay 50 dollars so that the driving school seals the envelope and puts a stamp! FNY. At the bank for the seal of the notary who pays for his membership every year, people pay only 15 dollars!!! Don't get close to this school!!!!

Negative experience: Don't be fooled by the high rating for this school The trainers ask the students to give them 5 stars. It is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life! They are a bad image of Islam! There is a man from Bangladesh who tests applicants for the driving test! He is harassed and bribed! He asked me for extra money to make me pass the exam! Nasty man Never stop talking! He is an ignorant man and does not know how to deal with people! You made me break down! I hope you close this school soon

Negative experience: Staff is not trained to give proper information. There’s another place on clay road that’s cheaper but I went here because it was closer and now regret it.

Positive experience: Seems like a mixed bag of tricks here. Call in prices appear different than what they have printed in the building. I wanted the student to get freeway time but the instructor decided he didnt have enough time. The second instructor wanted more time also, but despite all this the student passed the DPS Road Test anyways. You may need to stick with one instructor to get more value but you can finish quicker by using different ones. The fact they didnt bring the student on the freewway is the main reason for this 3 star review. A little unacceptable for 4 hours worth of driving time.

Negative experience: This is the worst Business I have ever come across. They don't answer the phone, and they don't even call back. I will advise you to choose another driving school instead of this place.

Negative experience: Horrible experience first of all there is no parking space outside it is only assigned for the specific stores and none for the driving school I kept going around in this narrow parking area with 3 attempts to find a parking spot but was unsuccessful then I had to park far away and walk because I had to be there in person and sign for my son’s road test . The test was scheduled for 12.30 pm we got there at 11.55 to allow ample time then after they took all his papers we waited and waited after until the examiner finally showed up at 1 pm to take my son for his road test. Filthy place, so unorganized and nasty plaza.

This place was amazing, I went in earlier today to get my road test done, I was very nervous and was scared of failing but after going in the older front office lady was very nice and easy to work with, and after 5-10 minutes of waiting the instructor comes out called my name and we went inside the Cyfair car, in 10-15 minutes we were done the instructor was amazing very patient, easy instructions, and all around an amazing guy. This was an amazing place if you are looking to get your license come here, quick and easy.

Negative experience: Stay away from this school, if you want to burn every Saturday morning trying to get appointments for practice and in less than 30 seconds all appointments are gone and no help whatsoever to get appointment, and when you complain to them they said oh well we already took your money deal with it, we tried 4 weeks to get appointment and when we got no luck we went to the office asking for refund, the receptionist called the manager , he informed her to refund some of the money, checking our cc statement next day to see that the refunded the money then charged us again the same amount, this is big time a fraud to charge the card again to take the money back without our authorization. Horrible customer service

Negative experience: I’m confused why this place has good reviews. I had an appointment at 2:30 for a road test. I emailed my papers and confirmed my appointment the night before since they specify this speeds up the check in process. I arrived 5 minutes early, yet I wasn’t helped until 2:52. The car used for the test was dirty and smelled a little funny. The brakes weren’t that great, I had to push my foot all the way for the car to begin slowing down. The man conducting the test was awkward, he didn’t communicate well. He just mumbled and made hand gestures when he wanted me to turn or gave me instructions. When we walked back into the building after the test, he went over to the printer then into the office and never communicated to follow him or anything. I followed him in, I figured he’d tell me if I wasn’t allowed in there. Then he began speaking with his coworker laughing and talking while he got my papers ready. I felt like a transaction not a valued customer. I wouldn’t recommend this place due to lack of professionalism, punctuality, communication, and cleanliness.

Positive experience: Instructor Johnny was a good instructor just a little confusion on timing (I had a 3:15 appointment that was rescheduled for 4:15 after I had been there 20 minutes but he didn’t get there until 4:30) and made me nervous by taking phone calls that he was not giving his full attention but overall a very knowledgeable instructor that helped me with my driving and this was my first lesson so I don’t know what the procedure is for inductors I however would not recommend the permit school before you have your permit in order to get one

Positive experience: Now that my son is done, honestly it’s ok. They charged a no show fee when we had a death in the family. They also didn’t take him on the freeway. Before I signed him up, that was the main question I ask and the only reason I signed him up. He also had one aggressive instructor. Other than that it got the job done .

Negative experience: I scheduled a drive by 8am. The people that came just ignored me and didn’t address my concerns about the instructor that is supposed to teach me. Yet I waited patiently in the cold rain and still I waited and was not attended to. They are not serious and just use kids phones to boost their ratings on google maps. Don’t waste your time here unless you just want to get your license and don’t want to learn.

Fantastic experience: Instructor Sam is the best. He makes sure his students are comfortable during their driving sessions , and teaches in a very easy and detailed way where his students can learn. If your looking to send your teenager to a driving school Cy Fair is the best. They are very organized in making appointments for driving sessions and are very friendly.

Positive experience: Place is pretty unorganized it appears that they book more than they can handle so they keep moving around appointments, and when my test finally started the instructor told me to look up Cy-Fair Driving School and he just wrote his name and gave a 5 star review. Overall, not the best place, but if you just want a quick road test done this place is decent.
