One Way Driver Training School
"Over the years, six of my teens have successfully gone through the OneWay Driver Training School program. I can't tell you how pleased I am at how much each of them learned. Not only that, all of them are still safe, well-trained drivers today. It has been signficanlty more effective than "Parent-Taught" method my friends tried. -Michael B. (Lewisville, TX)

Experiencia fantástica: i went here for the classes to get my permit, i loved all the instructors they are hilarious and very nice and understanding, but also push you a little when needed. when i did my driving times i didn’t even know how to drive when i first got there, and by my second time i was on the road. they really did a good job on teaching me how to drive and were always so sweet and fun to talk to in the car. by the time I took my test, I was very comfortable because I knew everybody there and wasn’t even nervous. obviously i passed and had nothing but a good experience at one way. Thank you Debra and penny for being so funny and patient!
You are more than welcome. Keep driving safe
Experiencia negativa: The owner and secretary are so sweet but Penney is so unbelievably unprofessional. My brother took a course here and was told to fill out his application a certain way. When he got there to take his test, Penney was attending him and called him stupid for the way he filled it out. She had a very hostile attitude towards him and was discriminating against him. This made him very anxious and it mentally messed with him. He was afraid he would fail his test after all he has accomplished and payed. Luckily my mom was there to calm his nerves down and he ended up passing, but it still isnt fair that he was treated that way. One person could really mess up an experience, and Penney was that one person. Penney needs to be educated and learn that being hispanic is NOT a race but an ethnicity. As a hispanic we aren’t required to put a specific RACE and that was one of the main problems Penny had against my brother.
Unfortunately, the state requires that you pick both a race and ethnicity. I did not make this rule. I was simply trying to help him get his application done properly before going to the DPS that way it would not get rejected. He had originally had Indian marked as the race. I’m sorry if I offended you, but I was only trying to make sure everything goes through when you go to get your license. I am fairly educated. I did not create the application. In addition, he was 15 minutes late to his appointment and we still managed to test him. He came back in at the end and thanked us for straightening out his paperwork. He received a fair test and we never knew he was having a problem.
Experiencia negativa: I was enrolled in this school around 2022, and while over the actual school isn't the worst and is great at teaching there is one instructor I would warn about. Brad, is a tall older man who was my first instructor for the driving portion of the school. I acknowledge he probably has good intentions he is simply NOT fit to be an instructor. While driving he speaks the entire time, or re-state instructions way too many times in an almost frantic way. If there are any mistakes he seems almost panicked, and is simply an overwhelming, loud presence in the car. Not to mention if you turn while touching the bottom of the wheel for a second he will touch the wheel to remind you. Once again startling and distracting. I get this school has very a strict policy in their own road test with handling of the wheel but this was ridiculous. After my first lesson with him I told my parents, bursting into tears over the anxiety and pure overwhelming experience it was. (For reference we were simply doing turns in a neighborhood so there was no reason this should've been so stressful.) Lastly I would like to highlight one instructor, I think her name was Cindy, and she had red curly hair. She was like heaven to drive with, she was calm and still stern without all the distractions from Brad. She is the golden standard for driving instructors and I wish I drove with her each time. (She later told me she was a middle school teacher soo it made lots of sense why she was such a good instructor.) All this to say, if your driver instructors are always super nervous to drive with students maybe they shouldn't be an instructor. Us students can feel your anxiety and being rude solves nothing it's just adding gasoline to the fire (aka an already nervous NEW driver). I drive now, thanks to my father who has a very similar style to the woman instructor I mentioned above. But yah this was going to bother me forever if I didn't share my experience. Be warned future drivers, and parents!
I'm sorry you had a bad experience. If you would have come to me after that lesson we would have re done it. I wish you could have handled this then insread of giving my school a one star when you are mad at an individual. We have searched our records from 2021 2022 and did not find anyone by your name. We do have several good instructors
Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO HERE!! This place lacked many essential skills needed to run a drivers ed school. For one their inability to properly schedule is annoying, inconvenient, and a display of incompetence on their behalf. It is ridiculous that not only I have had experiences with scheduling miscommunication on their behalf, but other people I've discussed with have also had scheduling conflicts. No one should be paying money and driving their kid out to this school only to have to pick up them up immediately due to a scheduling conflict. They also will try to blame the scheduling miscommunication on you even though they are the ones giving out the wrong times! I have unfortunately have had nothing but rude encounter after rude encounter with every instructor at this school. However, I will say that most of my rude encounters were with Debra. The way she speaks to parents and students alike makes her such a distasteful woman to speak with, and shows that she is completely incapable of running a successful establishment. That being said, Debra is not the only one I had rude encounters with, a male instructor was particularly rude to me. On my first lesson at this school I was screamed at to the point where I was so stressed I began crying, and told the man that the reason I’m crying is because of his behavior towards me. It is completely unacceptable that a man of his age would yell at the teenager that he is supposed to be teaching, to the point where she has to explain to him that his behavior is inappropriate and unprofessional. With all that out of the way my final thoughts are: their teaching is subpar, their attitude towards their patrons is disrespectful and unbelievable, and I am more than happy I left this school early. Which is why I think you would be better off at a different drivers ed program or doing parent taught then spending your money here. Edit after the reply: Your first lie you DID NOT have anyone for me to observe after the scheduling issue. Also, your lack of reply on your own instructors behavior is evidence enough that you do not care about your students and how they are taught. I hope the holidays treat you nicely!
Merry Christmas! I gave you a refund because we couldn’t seem to please you. I did make a scheduling mistake and tried to get you to go observe while I corrected it. You needed to observe anyway. I never told you it was your fault. It would was your choice not to go observe. You said “. If I’m not driving right now I’m leaving. “. I didn’t say anything because I thought you might come back in a better mood. You didn’t. You said are you going to schedule me or what? At that point I decided to give you a refund. I know as a business owner I can’t make everyone happy. We do strive to do a good job. It’s done. Take the refund and go elsewhere.Hope you don’t spend the whole holiday on this because I’m not. I don’t think I’ve ever met such an unhappy teen.
Experiencia fantástica: My oldest went to this driving school 10 years ago.. She is 26 years old now. My 16 year old is currently finishing up driving classes, and my 17 year old will be signing up for the summer classes. As a bodily injury auto claims adjuster, I recommend the school because they discuss exactly what I DO NOT see daily on my job…defensive driving. Side note: if you follow the contract you won’t have issues scheduling classes. And for the person mentioning being yelled out, neither of my kids experienced that.
