Before beginning the California Motorcyclist Safety Program 1-Day Premier Course, you must demonstrate your riding ability by passing a pre-course, riding skills test. In this test, you will need to demonstrate you have the minimum skills required to participate in the 1-Day Premier Course.
You will not be allowed to participate in the 1-Day Premier Riding Course if you fail the pre-course, riding skills test, and your registration money will not be refunded, nor can it be transferred to the Basic Course.
If you are not confident of passing the pre-course, riding skills test, it is advisable for you to first consider the California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcycle Training Course.
The California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcyclist Training Course is designed for the novice rider with limited or no street riding experience. The course is aimed at establishing safe habits and building your riding skills. Pass this course, and you satisfy the DMV on-bike testing requirement for earning your M1 license.
Our Total Control 3-Wheel Riding Clinic is designed for those new to three-wheeling. Riders with three-wheel experience will sharpen their skills and reinforce the special techniques needed to navigate in real-world traffic.
The Total Control Intermediate Riding Clinic is designed to help licensed riders build confidence and internalize safe riding habits, with next-level instruction on vehicle control, emergency braking, obstacle avoidance and tighter, more efficient cornering. (Riders are required to bring their own bike.)
The California Motorcyclist Safety Program 1-Day Premier Riding Course is designed for experienced riders over 21 years old to secure their California, M1 motorcycle endorsement. If you are under 21, you must complete the Basic Rider Course.
This class requires an on-bike, PRE-TEST. If you cannot successfully complete the riding test you will not be allowed to continue. Your tuition will not be refunded.
…I took your class a year ago. Just wanted to let you know that it saved my life tonight. A lady pulled right out in front of me while I was doing 45, I was able to brake and maneuver out of the way missing the front of the car by inches. It all goes back to your training. Thank you.
…I took the class a couple of weeks ago. Today was my 3rd day riding on the freeways… A car swerved from the #1 lane straight across the lanes and crashed into the medium right in front of me. I remembered the words they put into my head (and skills they taught me). I slowed as quickly as possible without locking up the brakes, then swerved to avoid the car and then braked again after the swerve. I stopped, made sure the driver was okay, and called 911.
I highly recommend this class! Instructors make it knowledgeable and they keep you excited and hungry to just PRACTICE … Thank you for a first driver experience that I will never forget!

Experiencia fantástica: Rated beginners and intermediate: 1. Beginners: WILL pay itself off, too much to lose without proper theory, and without beginners range work. Instructors really good with all the necessary exercises, pulling off, turning in different curves at different speeds, breaking, swerving, slow riding in tight spaces, and counter steering, plus tons of safety tips. Nice people. committed to giving a good experience, there is effort made to give the students as much as possible, no corner cutting, wish I had done this before riding my first honda scooter, now prepared for my 500 cc, stay safe guys! (bring water/snacks is a good idea) 2. Intermediate course. What seemed as an add on actually turned out to be a REAL treasure of a course. Michael Cicerone is an AMAZING instructor, takes the group thru slides/theory and on course exercises that stretch you a bit but takes your understanding to next level, he instructs gently but effectively! A must add on, and after the course, Michael teaches all kinds of skills privately and prepares one to improve the art and skill of riding!
Thanks for the great review! We're thrilled you found the course so valuable and appreciate your feedback on the instructors and comprehensive training. Ride safe!
Experiencia fantástica: I couldn’t have asked for a better experience learning how to be safe, ride and operate a Motorcycle. From evasive maneuvers to roperating the clutch and leaning into turns, these were some of the things I was most nervous about coming into riding as an absolute beginner and the Staff with patience and care made sure I came out of this weekend with a strong foundation in rider streets skills and knowledge. Whether you have zero experience in motorcycling like myself or have had some experience I heavily recommend you jump on the weekend beginner course, take advantage of the discount on Insurance rates and have an absolute blast with your classmates & staff vigorously doing exercises on the Saddleback College Campus parking lot together, do it with a friend or go by yourself, you will 100% come out this course with a strong sense of confidence, friends and memories. I will most definitely be back for the Intermediate training once I pick up my first Bike. [By the way the beginner course waives the DMV riding test ;)]
Experiencia fantástica: I took this motorcycle riding class as someone who had always wanted to ride but lacked the necessary experience. One of the best things about this class is that it counts for the driving portion at the DMV, and you also get an insurance break for completing the course. The instructors were amazing, and they taught me the fundamentals of riding while prioritizing my safety. The course was repetitive, and I got a bit nervous and anxious on the final day. However, my instructors were incredibly helpful and provided me with the support I needed to overcome my fears. Angel, one of the instructors, even demonstrated one of the courses on the second day, even though we had already completed it. Despite my progress, I was still struggling, but Angel’s reassurance and encouragement helped me get back on track. Akbar, the other instructor, was also instrumental in helping me calm down and overcome my anxiety. On the second day, I was stalling and realized that my clutch was engaging in second gear. I had all the confidence on the first day, but I was overwhelmed by anxiety on the second day. Akbar’s advice of taking four breaths in and four breaths out helped me regain my composure. I’m not one to give up easily, but I was so embarrassed that I considered quitting. However, Akbar’s kindness, helpfulness, and genuine care for my well-being helped me overcome my doubts and finish the course. Don’t let his 6’3” stature intimidate you; he’s a great person who genuinely cares about his students.
Experiencia fantástica: Great motorcycle training experience. Amazing staff. Enjoyed the process.
Experiencia fantástica: George and Joey was amazing. They were patient and gave good criticism.
