Lebie Driving School: Reviews
Negative experience: Horrible driving school.
Negative experience: Very bad experience with lebie.. He canceled my appointment without informing
Fantastic experience: I needed a refresher course in driving because I had not driven in 2 years. The Lebie driving school provided me with an excellent instructor, Matthew. He was prompt and patient with me and reminded me of the rules of the road that seasoned drivers have let lapse. Thank you .
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much
Negative experience: I am not a customer of this school and based on what I witnessed this morning on Hog Island Rd by the airport, I would never part with hard earned cash nor risk the wellbeing of my child. I drive professionally and have since 1990. This morning after dropping my trailer at our hub, I was on my way back to my terminal. A vehicle came up from behind very quickly, following right on my tail occasionally peaking out looking to pass. The speed limit on this road is 25 MPH. The first attempt at passing me could have easily lead to a headon collision as a truck was coming from the opposite way. Their next attempt was successfully executed, however it was done on a double solid yellow line and on a blind curve. There were at least two persons in the car and as it passed I saw the sign on the roof displaying the name of the driving school and their phone number. I can not be sure if the student or the instructor was behind the wheel at the time but either way, the instructor demonstrated a complete and utter disregard for the safety of the motoring public, pedestrians, the student and him/her self by driving in such a reckless manner or allowing (instructing?) the student to perform such a risky set of maneuvers. I tried to get the phone number from the sign but the car had passed me and was out of sight before I could get the full number. Upon arriving back at my terminal I decided to search for the school's number on the internet and alert them to what I witnessed. Unfortunately, I soon realized that this is a small enterprise run by two brothers per the reviews on their info page. I decided that calling the school would be of no use so I decided the next best course of action was to leave a review so that potential clients and parents of potential clients could be made aware of the lack of professionalism and the unsafe methods used to train new drivers. In my brief interaction with this school I learned that they feel speeding, tailgating, and executing unsafe passes over double yellow lines and on blind curves are acceptable behaviors while operating a motor vehicle. I've seen the end results of bad drivers and if you or your child (if you're a parent) want to learn to drive safely I could not recommend using this school based on what I witnessed. We have far too many unsafe drivers on our roads already. Save yourself and/or your insurance premiums and look elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: Instructor was wonderful very knowledgeable and patient I passed on my first attempt I recommend them to people with high anxiety about driving they're very prepared for it
Negative experience: I made an appointment with Mr. Johnson 2 weeks ago for a lesson today 9/12 @8am. I called him Tuesday of this week to confirm and he didn’t know who I was or what I was talking about. I explained that I called him previously to schedule a lesson for 9/12. After a couple of mins he said he found the appt so we confirmed. 8am this morning Mr. Johnson hasn’t come or called so I call him. I tell him again that we had an appointment for this morning, In the middle of me talking he hangs up. I call him back and he’s says my instructor called him at 7:30 saying the car broke down. I asked why didn’t anyone call to tell me? I let him know it was very unprofessional. He proceeds to tell me it was unprofessional when I cancelled with him before. I explained I never cancelled with you and this is my first time ever having an appointment with you. He then gives an address that’s not mine and ask if that was me? I told him it wasn’t then he starts apologizing saying he has me mixed up with someone else. I will never ever deal with him again and will be posting this on Social Media.
Fantastic experience: My first time i drove with mr.johnson, great instructor, gave good advice that were easy to understand and made me feel at ease on the wheel. My second practice was with mr.thomas, he was an excellent instructor, i love the way he used soccer analogy in Congruent to driving, since i play soccer, it made me understand things much easier. He was also great with the support when we want for me to take my test. Without a doubt Lebie driving school is the best in dcc. If you want to spend your money wisely and get your license in the most optimal time, Leibe driving school is the place to go! The instructors are very certified in what they do and your bound to get your license!
Fantastic experience: I had 3 2-hr lessons with Freeman and Johnson, who are also brothers and owners of Lebie Driving School. My instructors taught me street driving, right and left turns (and when to signal), completing stops, highway driving, and the infamous parallel parking. Both instructors taught me new and important information, especially in defensive driving and the mathematics behind driving. I passed my driver's exam on my first try, and aced parrallel parking based on what Freeman taught me. Their pricing is by far the best in the city (they are cash-only to note), their a flexible driving school as far as scheduling lessons, and you can even rent one of their cars to use on the day of your exam. I highly recommend their school because they truly set you up for success. Thank you Freeman and Johnson!
