LA Excel Driving School

Fantastic experience: This driving school is amazing my son passed. My husband and I were teaching him old school. I couldn’t find any openings anywhere but LA Excel made it happen. There are always new laws or things we didn’t know come up. I scheduled the 3 day class which includes 6 hours total. It was well worth it! He drove up until the day of his test. He is sharp and comes on time very professional.

Positive experience: I don’t know how to describe but it went okay I guess but the instructors are friendly but it’s kind of confusing to drive a car since im so used to Tesla cars

Fantastic experience: We were very happy with Excel Driving School in Murrieta. Lyonel A. was excellent with my elderly dad. We had somewhat of a special situation where my dad was summoned by the DMV recently to conduct a behind the wheel drivers evaluation. As a family we decided to get him professional training for this evaluation so we contacted Excel. Lyonel was very professional, on time and patient. He gave excellent feedback and hopefully improved my dad's driving skills. We highly recommend Lyonel for anyone that needs a driving lesson.

Positive experience: We signed up our son for this program two years ago, paid for the program, and all we received was an outdated online pretest program with zero support. The owner told us it was not his job to help our son successfully pass the written test. When we alerted him that the DMV test had many questions that did not pertain to his outdated online training course, he then alerted us to go to DMV and get a current study guide/handbook because he didn't have one and encouraged us to train our son ourselves to read the book and refused further service until our son could pass the test, which was not his responsibility. We feel we received NOTHING for our payment in full and are completely just out the money. We would select a ZERO star if that was a choice, as that is what we received for our money. NOTHING! The owner was a complete jerk on the phone when we asked for help for our son to prepare for his driver's test. We recommend everyone find another driving school. This one obviously doesn't mind collecting your money and doing absolutely nothing for it. UPDATE:. I raised my review to three stars, as the owner did follow through and gave my son behind-the-wheel lessons, even though a couple years had transpired. That actually was very honorable of him.

Fantastic experience: Both my boys used LA Excel one got it on the second try because she told him I told him and then drive test person told him he didn't look over his shoulder good enough (kids) second one got it first time! I have referred many others to her because of my experience. Carolyn was amazing always on time worked around sports, hectic schedules and all to get their lessons in.

Fantastic experience: I used them for both my girls. Great instructor. Great customer service. They pick you up from your house for the lessons which is very convenient. I highly recommend LA Excel driving school.

Fantastic experience: Could not be more happy with LA Excel Driving School! Lyonel was very prompt, reliable, and was very pleasant to deal with. We had a very unique situation, (the student was an older driver whose license had been suspended due to medical issues, that have since been corrected), and Lyonel was one of the only instructors that would agree to give her lessons. He was very kind and professional throughout the whole ordeal, and he certainly played a huge role in her getting her license!

Negative experience: Do not have satisfactory customer satisfaction. Car driven by student driver and instructor for first two lessons was old and run down looking. Did not adequately prepare student for DMV road test. Will not return and suggest you find another driving school.

Fantastic experience: I called LA Excel Driving School for my daughter to have a behind the wheel course before taking her driving test. They were able to fit her in-between busy schedules. She came back stating she learned some valuable knowledge she didn't know before the class. Thank you Carolyn you are an awesome instructor.
