Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Berkshire Driving School. Mariah is best in giving road test driving lessons. She prepares students or any first-time drivers very well. Covers all the steps and practices included in the actual road test. I passed my driving test with her proper guidance and teaching turns where I needed the most practice. She provides classes for Amherst, Hadley, Northampton, Easthampton, and all the neighboring places. Best place to have driving lessons and book for your road test.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to prepare for your road test! They were the first school to contact me back and Mariah allowed me to book a few appointments in advance within a timely manner. I went from never being on the road before in my life to passing my road test in the span of 2-3 weeks. She taught me everything i needed to know to pass the exam and was very patient when I did something wrong. She's calm and collected she wont yell at you only explain what you did wrong and what you should do instead. If i had questions she would always answer or often times answer question i didnt know i had but helped greatly especially in parrallel parking. I cannot recommend her enough, she's a good instructor and charges very reasonable rates, wonderful school highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I learnt from Berkshire Driving School how to drive in real situations. The driving test became easy to pass, and I am confident to drive on the roads after getting driving license. However, someone could be unhappy with the phone/email slow response from this school.

Fantastic experience: I owe everything & am so grateful to Fall's Driving School for putting me in touch with Mariah who owns/operates Berkshire Driving. I truly credit Mariah with the reason why after twenty years of not driving, I was able to qualify & pass the road test which does not get any easier into middle age. From lesson one onward, I was always made to feel comfortable, safe & confident!! Mariah was very patient & kind, caring enough after I'd been late for an appointment, she waited & even asked me if I needed to use the restroom, extending my time all to accomodate me at my own fault. I don't believe the negative reviews, because Mariah always answered every question I ever came up with, went over things as much as I needed & genuinely TAUGHT me operations & new improved technique, updated road rules, she demonstrated manuevers & helped give me feedback/tips on what I do wrong & how to improve, she's knowledgeable & her schedule was ALWAYS available to my needs. She let me book several lessons ahead & I actually ended up earning my license before Christmas, weeks before I'd ever thought I'd be ready to test. She believed in me and I actually struggle to drive solo without her, because she provided me with a feeling of strength & control on the road. So I try to remember her sitting by my side, and the positive experience!! I truly bonded with her & was shocked I passed, Mariah knew my safe judgement was sound & I had good perception/handling of the vehicle was that of not only a qualified driver, but that she was sending someone out there that respected & abided by the rules of the road, the law & my deep appreciation for the privilege to drive as well as the skills required, which can be demanding & stressful. Unfortunately I've since learned there are far too many speeders & those that want to run you off the road. Now I realize why I was passed, thank Mario in Greenfield for his mercy!! I am much safer a driver than many I've come across, so Mariah is definitely doing right by the roads & our community. She also gave me tips to help prepare me for the test, and extra lessons with a mock test, she filled me in on the challenging parallel parking involved for the test and had me perform a parallel park on a steep hill in UMass, she really did such a good job of readying me that I hadn't even realized it & didn't think I'd pass but got a Christmas present with a driver's license after being too traumatized to drive for years. If you are older or timid, I recommend her and if you are young, she will teach you the correct rules & build your confidence. The couple months I had out with Mariah are the most positive I've had in many years as far as service experience goes & I will never forget her for helping to bring my aspirations closer to fruition & reality for me. Now I can pursue school & the career I want, relocating to a region where bus services are not as fully funded and harder to perform clinicals without a driver's license & vehicle. I encourage anyone who feels ready, to try your best & keep at it!! Mariah helped me to where I likely wouldn't have succeeded as it can be hard to find a reliable school you're compatible with. Thank you Mariah & Fall's Driving School for sending me over!! She picked me up in Hadley and I had my license by the time I was set to move and even sooner in fact. :-) If you are a nervous driver & need refreshing, or brand new, I couldn't recommend Berkshire Driving School more!! Her prices are standard and well worth how kind & smart she is, it was well worth the money & she has even answered questions after not being a student anymore. Contact them you won't be disappointed!!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t really recommend going here they don’t really teach you anything new most of the time. I feel like i wasted so much money on lessons but didn’t gain anything that my family couldn’t have just taught me. They’re really not worth it just go to Nichols who will ACTUALLY teach you what you need to know because they actually want you to pass your road test without charging you for a million lessons not teaching you anything :)

Fantastic experience: First place out of the 4 i contacted to actually contact me back regarding personal driving lessons. Correspondance is fast; polite and professional. Helped my nervous child become more confident and he passed his test! Highly recommend this school.
