Fantastic experience: Mrs. Stewart is the best driving instructor ever, they are very nice and they give us candy and gift cards and make sure we are well treated. They are very calm and relaxed and more than willing to help and go out of there way to do the best job in the world

Negative experience: I've called numerous times and never get a phone call back. I wouldn't say poor communication I would say NO communication.

All of our numbers ask customers to text us for reply. I am not sure which number you called. If you called any of our instructors numbers we ask customers to not leave messages we can not answer our phones while we are with students. We do however encourage the dozens of telemarketers who call daily to leave a message. Try texting us.

Our main number does connect to our Secretary and she normally responds within 24 hours for those who cannot text and must leave a voicemail.

Fantastic experience: With all that COVID is preventing right now, Mr.R’s driving school is still doing all they can to accommodate each person they can while following state laws. There is much outside of their control but they were still very friendly and accommodating. My daughter is in Segment 2 now and we keep referring others to them as well!

Negative experience: No communication about a cancelled class until we showed up. Registration was confirmed a week earlier. Instead, we were told to go online and re-register for a future class, but they are all full.

I anticipate a few of these complaints we have three locations and the same problem everywhere. So take this as a generic response

Covid requirements in Michigan limited our classes from 36 students down to 9 students. Many driving schools in Michigan have shuttered their doors as a result. We have scrambled moving classes around to deal with the cumbersome requirements and unprecedented demand. A week ago we sent out notification by text that the class dates had been moved forward a week and that multiple class times would be offered. If the text came back undelivered we would follow up with an email. (we have stopped using email as primary because both customer junk filters and server junk filters were eating them)

We sent out a private link in that message where customers could pay a deposit and select their class time. That way customers who had previously signed up got preference. We sent out a total of 65 messages for this particular class and filled most of the spots we had available. As stated in the text we sent after August 1st we moved the link to a public page. A few folks showed up who did not get or did not understand the text we sent. Perhaps the phone number they gave us was incorrect, perhaps we were filtered out. (Techies Please opine). At that time we had 3 august slots left (gone now) however at this writing we still have both September and October slots open. I anticipate since these only went public on Sunday that they will fill within a week or two.

Fantastic experience: My son took Segment 1 in the fall & is currently in Segment 2. He was happy with the classes and his drive time. And like the instructors. We live in the Clio school district.

Negative experience: After signing up on line, I received an email confirmation. Something looked odd about the confirmation, so I called and left a message. No return call, so I texted the number provided and communicated with "Mr. R" directly, confirming the registration, class time and dates. After the text confirmations, I cancelled the reservations I had and proceeded with the week. 5 days later, I show up for the class with the student driver. There are at least 30 people outside, due to restrictions classes are capped at 9 students. When we reached Mr. R at the front of the line, we were informed that we were not registered and asked if I had reviewed the email sent yesterday where we were now required to pre-pay and sign up for different times because there were too many people signed up. Mr R did not require the state mandate of wearing masks for all in line and was not wearing one while addressing the individuals or the group. Not sure what happened to calling people to ensure your last minute email was received. Not only were plans cancelled, you put us all at risk due to not following proper precautions.
