Sartell Driving School: Reviews
Negative experience: I have not used their service but….yesterday one of their red cars passed us on Benton Drive in Sauk Rapids where the speed limit is 35 MPH—we were driving 35 and the car passed us like we were standing still; I could not even tell if there were one or two people in the car. If this was an instructor alone; who hired you to teach driving? If this was an instructor and student? You fill in the rest.
Negative experience: Signed my child up back last December 2022,she took the classes finished them was told to call back in two months to schedule her behind the wheel. When called back in Feb told to call back in June. Called back in June and was told she be put on a three month wait list and they would call us. Here we are In January a year later and no call. She is now 18 and there was no point paying $500 to do nothing. Rip off. Shouldn't be taking students that you can't get driving.
Fantastic experience: Kind staff!
Negative experience: My son had finished his class here and the instructor ripped up his blue slip from the state do that he could take his written test. There excuse was since we're not doing the behind the wheel with them that he don't need it I had to deal with so much bullcrap to get him a new one.i DO NOT recommend this place at all they are a joke!
Hi Chad, unfortunately the state requires you to get the blue card from the school you are doing the behind the wheels with. It's not that we were trying to make things hard for you but its the states rules and we are required to follow them. Also the state does not issue the blue card the school that you are doing the behind the wheels with does and its purpose is proof of being enrolled in a behind the wheel course, which is required before he can take the permit test, that's why the school he signed up with for BTW has to give it. Sorry it was difficult for you but we literally have no choice.
Negative experience: Terrible service. I've called and left voice mails so many times in 1 whole year ss of today waiting for a call back to schedule my child for some road time, a whole year and no call back. How is my child supposed to get their driver's license without 6 hr behind the wheel time with the instructor? My child will be 18 before they'd get back to me, paid for everything and got no service. I want my refund now
Fantastic experience: our kids are student athletes. The instructors were incredible and working with our schedules. They were great with answering phone calls and emails. The global pandemic has been a big issue around the world, but Sartell driving school has done an excellent job at making sure our kids are compliant and lots of road knowledge. I highly recommend them!
Negative experience: Don't waste your money with these people. They will keep you waiting and waiting even after you've paid them everything. My daughter had to wait a FULL 6 months before they could schedule even one behind the wheel. We called and called but conveniently they were always "out of office" even during their office hours. They scheduled people who hadn't even paid the full price yet before they scheduled us. Of course they won't tell you that there's a huge waiting time for behind-the-wheels. Crazy. We have never had this problem at other driving schools. I need a refund. Use a different driving school.
We're sorry for the slow down in scheduling. Unfortunately we have 4 instructors get Covid and for a small company 4 people are a lot. We have hired more people who got licensed (a 2 month process at bare minimum) This should make huge improvements to scheduling.
Negative experience: Our instructor came late and ended it early. The first session took the student to a parking lot to adjust the seat mirrors etc. However, because the supervisor was out, she had to answer phones and took 10 phone calls while we were paying her. When I called, the instructor had nothing but negative things to say about the student. The owner then called me and was unprofessional in that I had to beg him to listen to our experience. We were paying them to "Tutor" and "Practice" with the student and that is not what happened. We did not finish our paid sessions with them and they tried to short change the refund. I wouldn't suggest anyone use this school.
Its unfortunate but you can't threaten to leave a bad review if you didn't get your way. All I asked is for you to pay for the lessons you took.
Negative experience: The entire staff is very helpful, kind, and professional, except for Mary. She called me with a very rude tone. She fussed at me for mistakenly sending the wrong address during a weekend I was moving. I am also new to Minnesota. I had to tell her multiple times in the conversation to calm down and it was a misunderstanding. I then had to ask her not contact me again being disrespectful. She really embarrassed a good driving school. Yes she apologized I did accept her apology. She was still speaking to me in a very rude and sarcastic manner
We're sorry you had a bad experience, however, Mary was trying to explain why calling 9 minutes on a Sunday to give the driver your new address doesn't work. We still pay the driver for the time she wen't to your old address. That being said she did apologize many times when you said you felt disrespected. I'm sorry you didn't or couldn't accept her apologizes.
Fantastic experience: Every one that helped out so very professional
