Safe America Drivers | Safe America Foundation: Reviews
Positive experience: We actually had a very pleasant experience with the scheduling of the lesson and the drivers. Cherry was efficient and timely and responsive. Really liked Nate for in car instruction.
Negative experience: If these tools are teaching your kids to drive the way the employees do, we’re all screwed. Complete disregard for traffic laws, common courtesy, or common sense for that matter. Steer clear!
Negative experience: This organization is completely disorganized, unprofessional and unresponsive. I started trying to schedule my daughter's on-the-road training in October, and after dozens of attempts to schedule time, they were finally able to fit her into the schedule in January (more than a month after her birthday). After she got her license again, they called because they couldn't find her paperwork, which I submitted multiple times. Do NOT use this company!!!
Negative experience: While trying to schedule my driving lessons, we have gone through 3 instructors that have either randomly quit or never got back to us. The instructor I am trying to email to schedule with now hasn’t got back to me in a week and honestly I’m very frustrated. I would NOT recommend this place, but sadly for me my school uses this company in conjunction with drivers ed classes so my lessons have already been paid for but I can’t actually get anybody to drive with.
Positive experience: We have not had our sessions yet, but I am reviewing them right now based on their willingness to work with me and resolve some misunderstandings during the COVID situation and getting our appointments rescheduled. They are willing to work with me and make things right, and that goes a long way!
Negative experience: Everything went fine until the last lesson. My son was more tired that day and did not drive as well. Instead of canceling the lesson the instructor shortened the lesson by 30 minutes. We actually changed the time for the instructor from 11am to 9am. I called the manager regarding this and he said he would look into the matter and call me back. Never did. I called two more times and never returned my call. He instead just emailed my son certification for completing driving hours I wish i researched other driving schools. I heard from others that Marietta driving school is excellent. We wanted a few more hours for a refresher course before the actual test and will go there. Poor communication with this business I recommend using and please do your research.
Negative experience: The defensive driving class instructor really stank (definitely cigarettes, booze?). The presentation of the material was very disorganized, skipping a lot of important information.
Fantastic experience: Very professional and neatly run with great teachers! Learned a lot, and had a good experience!
Fantastic experience: The class was very enjoyable, there was allot of information that anyone could use. Went from the very basics of road rules to insurance, etc, etc. Pretty much everything you need to know to become a driver that's in touch with the rules of the road.
Fantastic experience: Safe America allowed learning about being a safe driver funny and enjoyable. The instructors are very helpful and the exposure to experiences from retired cops hands on is remarkable and sobering. Hopefully others have the opportunity to support this great non-profit organization.
Fantastic experience: My twins took the Safe America course - had a great experience!
Positive experience: This is my third child to go through the program, and neither of the first two have had an accident yet, so I'm thinking it has been successful. I don't think my son who attended recently found it overly entertaining, but he did show that he had a good knowledge of the facts when we took a defensive driving class together the following week. He was answering questions correctly left and right. I'd say it is a good investment.
Positive experience: My daughter just completed the classroom part of the class. She enjoyed the instructor's real life experiences along with the simulator car. She found the program easy to understand and learned valuable tools to carry with her.
Fantastic experience: Both my sons have received their driver education at SAF, and they've both learned the skills in the classroom, as well as the on-the-road instruction that has made them very good drivers. Good teachers, good curriculum. I highly recommend SAF to anyone needing driver's ed.
