Fantastic experience: The class where you sit is made fun but knowledgeable at the same time and it makes you listen and want to pay attention more and so you hold on to the information better

Negative experience: If I could leave a zero star review I would. They scheduled a class today that we made our weekend plans around. We arrived 30 mins early to allow time to register like several other kids in attendance, waited over an hour, and the instructor never showed up leaving 10-15 students without a teacher. I would definitely look for another place before considering this.

Fantastic experience: I took my Road test with a guy name Tony & it was one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. I would recommend their classes & road test to anyone looking to get their license soon.

Fantastic experience: My driving lesson with Tony was fantastic! As a newcomer to Charleston and an adult driver, Gail was quick to respond to my call, and Tony was fantastic and knowledgeable giving his driving instruction. A great company and highly recommend for adult drivers who need to pass their road test.

Negative experience: Beware!! Very unprofessional- good luck ever completing the course or getting drive times scheduled outside of school hours! Their communication is poor and when the do communicate it is very unprofessional. If you are thinking the no registration and cash only payments seem a little sketchy or indicative of an unreliable company maybe you are right. I should have stuck with my gut instinct about them and chase a more reliable company to start out with. I was hoping to save a little money and in this instance I didn't get what I paid for...I wish I had just paid more for a better company in the first place. The 1st time we tried to attend the classroom instruction the class was cancelled without notice. My daughter was able to attend the next class but was told the fast track option was not available. After we paid and left our daughter they said it would be weeks before scheduling drive times. During the class my daughter was told that if they annoyed the instructors they would simply not offer drive times and this is why they would only schedule the 1st one and not both). We were kind of in a bind at that point and just went with it. The only drive times they have ever offered to us are during school hours and even then my daughter had to wait 2 weeks to get a weekday 9 am time. Well at no fault of the driving school, the hurricane cancelled the drive time. Ok that cant be helped. However when we tried to reschedule after that apparently their car was broken and they were not scheduling anything (only 1 for all of the Charleston area?? Maybe that's why there are no drive times). I sent an email to the company complaining that this was not acceptable and please let me know what needs to be done to schedule something. There was no response from them so 24 hours later I sent an email to their affiliate company. My daughter was finally scheduled for a drive time (all 6 hours at once during the school day). However, I was called the next day by Brian (I think that is his name) who was very rude saying that they would not provide the driving portion at all and we needed to go elsewhere. While asking questions about getting my paperwork from then he interrupted me and tried to talk over me about how unreasonable I was being and threatened to just hang up without answering my questions about getting the paperwork. Ok so thinking we can just cut our losses and go on to get diving elsewhere apparently we cannot. Sc laws require the classroom and driving to be taken from the same school when the driver is under 17 (they should really know that being a driving school and all). So basically they are refusing to offer the driving instruction (because I complained about the drive times during school hours and how long it was taking -more than 30 days). We are out the 179 we paid to them and have to start completely over. If you are considering them because their website led you to believe they could complete the process quickly (we drive 7 days a week...blah blah blah), that the fast track was an option (maybe but not to the general public), or that you could get drive times after school (within the 1st 6 months) I encourage you to look elsewhere. Their communication is poor and when the do communicate it is very unprofessional. More than the money we lost trying to use their company I am upset that they play silly games and misleading information on their website. It is stressful enough on parents navigating through this transition in their kids lives not to have to worry about losing money on shady companies like this when trying to meet state requirements. I plan to look into formal complaints with the BBB and state agency in charge of their accreditation.

We stand by everything on our website, the hurricane has set us back by 2 weeks and our vehicle was damaged by the hurricane. Your daughter was re-scheduled and would have had all her driving completed within 1 month of having taken the class portion - considering that includes the 2 week delay from the hurricane - i doubt you will find faster service anywhere else. It was clearly explained to you that you have lost nothing at all, the class hours will transfer to any other dmv approved driving school in south carolina. That is SCDMV regulations. You were asked to stop shouting so that we could get a word in edge-ways and try to explain the system to you. You refused to listen. You have threatened us repeatedly. We do not condone bullies and we will not push other students aside that are ahead of your child, just because you are a bully. Honesty and integrity are very important to us and we treat our customers with great respect and do everything we can to provide the best service possible.
As a result of your attitude we do not feel that our company is a good fit for you. And as a result of your threats, shouting and attitude we do not feel comfortable moving forward.
At this time you have received what you have paid for, you do not owe us anything, we release you from the contract. We also do not owe you anything. So our business is concluded.
Feel free to contact Mr Powell from the SCDMV at 803 206 9739 with your complaints.
We welcome customers that have their childs best interests at heart and we will work with theses customers to give them the best possible service and ensure that their children learn and are safer drivers when they leave our school.
With the way you have treated our staff, we just do not have any staff that are willing to deal with you and your attitude.
Schedule the driving lessons with another driving school and you will be able to collect the SCDMV "Training Log" from the local instructor. Take this to the new driving school and your daughter will be credited with the 8hrs of class. All you now need to get completed are the 6hrs driving.
This has been explained to you, despite your shouting and abuse over the phone.
As a parent i just dont understand why you feel that abusing the people that are teaching your child to be safe on the road, helping you daughter avoid the dangers she will face as a teen driver, is a good strategy.
Perhaps you dont understand that there is no greater threat to any childs life than an auto accident. The statistics are there if you care at all. The statistics are also there that children "tune-out" their parents, so there is no person in your childs life that can make a bigger difference and impact the way your child thinks about safety while out on the road, than your childs driving instructor.
At the end of the day there is only one person that looses through your actions, your Daughter, Mrs Prine
