Fantastic experience: Luis is a great and attentive instructor. I didn’t pass my road test today (nerves got the best of me), but I still walked away feeling proud of how far I’ve come — all thanks to Luis. He’s super patient, explains things clearly, and always made me feel supported, even on tough days. I’ve learned a lot and definitely feel more confident now. Just need a bit more practice and I’ll be ready. Really grateful for all the help I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher.

Negative experience: Do not use this company. The instructor (and owner) Luis is rude and unprofessional. Although his price is reasonable, he cannot be counted on to show up on time and he has a very bad attitude

Negative experience: BEWARE: THEY DOUBLE BOOK the day of the road test. Do not book them. The instructor cancelled on me 10 min before the appointment for the road test and hung up the phone on me !!!! How can you do this to students ?! Awful driving school, they will make you fail your test since you can’t cancel it the day of. Absolutely ridiculous behavior

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience in learning how to drive with Luis. I had very little experience when I first started driving with Luis. But with the help of Luis I was able to pass the road test on my first try! He is a very attentive, patient, and kind instructor. He makes sure you understand everything before going into the road test. Even when I made the same mistakes he would take the time to repeat himself, or reword it so I understood. I highly recommend him!!

Fantastic experience: I formerly had a license which I let expire while I lived in NYC. I took one lesson with Mercuri before my test, and that lesson is the only reason I passed the NY road test on my first try. There are so many ways to fail a driving test even if you know how to drive. Luis knew exactly what I needed to do, and he also has a great vibe and teaching style which made me feel much more relaxed before the test. (He even knows the tendencies of the inspectors who administer the test, so he can point out what to watch out for when he sees which inspector you get on test day.) I would recommend Mercuri to anyone, and I absolutely would not have passed without his help.

Fantastic experience: Luis was such a great instructor. My daughter was extremely nervous but he was very patient and just after her first lesson, she felt so comfortable and confident. He made sure to reassure her throughout all her lessons and because of his great teaching, she passed her road test on her very first try! Fantastic experience: Luis is absolutely amazing!! I am in my early 20s and was very new to the driving world so anyone could imagine how scary things were for me. All that fear went out the window after my first lesson. Luis was extremely and always patient even when I continued to make the same mistakes over and over again. You can just tell he genuinely wants to help teach those who don’t know, the basics and everything else we need to know. Every lesson was worth it and you will indeed laugh for half of the lesson because he understands we are already nervous. Overall, I had such a great experience and passed my road test this morning! (First try) I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Luis is a gentleman. The most polite, humble and very knowledgeable person. The professional advise that he gave me helped me getting my DL. He was very patient throughout my driving classes. He never ever tried to hurry to finish the class.
