Pacific Coast Driving Academy - Driver Ed, Behind the Wheel Driver Training

Negative experience: Update: 8/10/2025. Regrettably, another week has gone by, and the certificate has not yet been delivered due to a clerical error within their system. I would like to add a star to my rating, as the owner contacted me to explain the situation. While I received a reasonable explanation and understand the circumstances, it does not negate the overall experience and the delays it has caused. The owner offered to personally deliver the certificate to my home, but I declined, as it is no longer necessary now that my son has returned to school. A reasonable discount was offered to compensate for the inconvenience and negative experience. Given the discount, we might consider the driving course with this company in the future, although my confidence in working with them is currently not very high. It's been two weeks and still no certificate of completion for the online course. Website claims that it arrives in a few days, its now been a few weeks. I called 5 days after completion and I was given a vague response of when i should expect the certificate. I allowed another few days and emailed the company after not receiving the certificate. I received an email response stating that they will issue another certificate and it will arrive 3-5 business days. When I expressed my greivance it was brushed off. This has set us back and this definitely makes me not want to continue business with this driving school. I will have to look elsewhere for the additional driving hours.

Fantastic experience: My son had an amazing experience with Israel, Paul, and Hector—all patient, professional, and encouraging. He passed his test on the first try and now drives with confidence. Great communication, great instructors, and a smooth process from start to finish!

Fantastic experience: I am having so much fun learning to drive with Hector! His patience, silliness, and fun personality are just out of this world! Every time I get into the training car, a huge sense of relief washes over me because I know I am being instructed by a very amazing guy. Thank you for giving me the confidence Hector and for coming all the way to my house to pick me up for each week's session.

Fantastic experience: George and Israel are great driving instructors. They helped me get back on the road and gain my confidence in unfamiliar places. They helped me out from square one and now I can drive all over the county.

Fantastic experience: Ismael was an excellent teacher and so patient with all questions. Even did a mock test and got very detailed and insightful about what I need to work on that the proctors will look out for.

Fantastic experience: Pacific Coast Driving school is the best! We worked with George, Eric and Jasmine. The best, most patient, and professional driving teachers. My daughter has Aspergers, ASD. We did not think she would ever drive. This school got her in a car and passing a driving test in only 4 lessons. I would recommend this school to everyone wanting to drive!! They were always on time and worked with our schedule.

Fantastic experience: PCDA was recommended to me by a friend of my daughter's and I'm so glad we used them. From the very beginning, my daughter enjoyed her driving sessions with George. He had a great energy about him and was kind, patient and encouraging towards her - very professional. The best part was that she passed her driving test the first time with flying colors. Highly recommend George and PCDA!!!

Fantastic experience: George is the ABSOLUTE best! Learning to drive can be stressful but he approaches lessons calmly and with a kind heart. I feel like he knew what scared me and addressed them immediately in an educational and lighthearted way. If you suffer from anxiety, George is the best instructor for you. I couldn't recommend him enough. God bless!
