The Next Street - New Milford Driving School

Fantastic experience: He was very fun to work with! I’ve learned so much in the time I spent with my instructor and I feel well prepared for my test! Would 10/10 recommend the New Milford Location for any new drivers!

Fantastic experience: I had a great driving lesson with Mark as it was very informational and rewarding and I now feel confident about every aspect of driving that was gone over in the lesson! He explained things exceptionally well and I feel very satisfied in my driving and in the lesson.

Fantastic experience: Had a good experience, was able to learn driving in a calm environment and that made all the difference.

Negative experience: If they give you a time to test for the road test DO NOT bother showing up 15 minutes early like they tell you to. We made the mistake of valuing their time and they didn't extend the same courtesy.

Negative experience: Charge you fees for every little thing, regardless if youve paid for it and give them thousands of dollars.

Fantastic experience: My son had a great in-car driving lesson experience with Ari Yiannoulis. He had an in car driving lesson, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 with Ari in Redding, CT. As an instructor, he was very calm and patient. He was able to explain new things to my son very well. They practiced different skills a number of times until he thought my son had a good mastery of the skill. My son said he found him very easy to talk to and he gave great advice on what to practice for his next lesson. He really enjoyed driving with Ari. My son made sure to schedule his next in-car driving lesson with him.

Fantastic experience: mark was a great instructor. helped me with everything to get ready for my driving test including pulling in parking, back up parking, parallel parking, and changing lanes. very great instructor and now i'm more confident with driving

Fantastic experience: I took the 30 hr course as an older adult. I thought it would be more targeted to the teens but it wasn't. Glen Dworkin was a great teacher. He engaged everyone in the zoom class. Was always on time and provided tons of examples to ensure everyone understood the lessons. I took one class with a different teacher as a reschedule and needless to say, I felt I didnt learn anything. He was more about being one of the teens friends and talking about sports rather than teaching the lesson. The same day I had a 2nd lesson with Glen. I explained my situation and he went through the lesson after class which helped me understand better the lesson the other teacher gave. I am so glad I took these lessons because I learned a lot of things I didn't know about before and learned things that you wouldn't learn by taking lessons with a friend or family member. I had my on the road driving lessons with Mark Edwards and he was the absolute best. Very patient, explained things in details, answered all of my questions, puts you at ease so you are not nervous during your driving lessons and went the extra mile to put all helpful details for parking methods, predrive inspection, predrive protocols, etc. Everything you need to learn and practice to pass the road test. I got very lucky with both instructors. It took me wks to throughly research driving schools and I am happy I took a chance with the next street. Scheduling your lessons was simple and straight forward. Rescheduling lessons was also very simple. The only downside with the zoom lessons is you are not aware of who is teaching the course when you schedule it but after I had that terrible lesson, I contacted support and had the rest of the lessons changed to who I wanted so I received the top notch lessons I paid for. Thank you to Glen and Mark. I am happy to say I have passed my road test and am a licensed driver thanks to the experience I had with the next street and the conitued lessons I had from family afterwards.

Negative experience: I paid for the 30 hour course with the next street which included 8 hours of driving. My son failed his test twice through the next street both times for very minor things. When asking the next street how they help they said that since we paid for the course, my son could take a mock test for $180, and that does not include the $150 retest fee. This program is money hungry, and claims to have a very high passing rate - but clearly they do not. I will not go through the next street next year when my daughter gets her permit it was a huge waste of money.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. This place was a mess - wrong zoom links, left us waiting for 30 minutes with no support available and no one answering phones. Mixed up the sessions and the names so had to do two sessions over again, which were impossible to reschedule. Also cost 3x as much as most places. Go elsewhere!

Negative experience: Teacher didn’t prepare the class at all, staff is rude and disrespectful and also gave me the wrong form for my road test, do yourself a favor and don’t go here, i’d give 0 stars if i could

Fantastic experience: Sarah was a great instructor and I enjoyed being in class every Saturday, even if classes were on zoom! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to finish their drivers ed.

Fantastic experience: I did the 30-hour accelerator course at the New Milford Next Street and was expecting long, boring classes that I would struggle to get through. But to my surprise, classes were interesting and entertaining! Next Street genuinely does make it as interesting as possible to complete Drivers Ed, and I was lucky to have Sarah K as my teacher. She told stories and asked questions and made class interesting, even in moments where it seemed impossible. I feel like I learned a lot during my course and I would definitely recommend this to other teens!
