Fantastic experience: Ms Shelley was very patient with me learning new driving techniques that I had never seen or used before. She always made me feel comfortable and if she didnt feel I was ready for something she let me know. She gave me the confidence to know that I can do the techniques even if they seemed difficult. She was patient and easy to understand. Made learning a lot more fun and easier. I trusted her to teach me well and she didnt disappoint.

Fantastic experience: We enrolled our son this past Spring with this driving school. Our son is partly deaf and wears 2 hearing aides. Kay was amazing teaching our son. She demonstrated more patience with our son then most teachers would have done. She took the time to explain class and drive time instruction. She treated him fair like any other student. And our son was very great full for that. I would highly recommend her to anyone out there of any age or whom may have a disability. Thank you Kay from the Hover family of Augusta WV.

Fantastic experience: My 15 year old son had his first lesson tonight. He is on the autism spectrum and we are preparing him to test for his permit. Miss Kay is amazing. She has a board with toy cars so my son could visualize the road and the questions she was asking. Most ASD kids think on pictures so it really helped him grasp what she was saying. I'm looking forward to seeing him blossom and gain more independence and confidence as he grows up.

Fantastic experience: My goal was to learn how to drive and get my license before turning 40, I had about 6 months to make that happen. Kay and The Road and You together, made it *possible*. I owe my freedom to this school. I didn't have to explain to Kay that I'm neurodiverse and learn a little differently than other people. She is such a skilled instructor, she intuited that and was able to transform her lessons to fit my understanding. I had a rough day or two in there, practicing without her by my side was difficult, but she was patient with me. With TRAYT, I was able to achieve IN 6 MONTHS what I couldn't achieve in 25 years. If you're struggling with learning how to drive the traditional way (parents, loved ones, siblings, friends teaching you) I would book lessons with Kay. It is such a relief to have this skill, and it's great to just be proud of something I never thought I could do. Thanks, Kay you're the best!!

Fantastic experience: My 17 year old son learned so much from Ms. Kay. She prepared him for driving with superior instructing skills and her motivation to impart safe driving habits onto the newest drivers on the road. We recommend The Road and You Together Driving School and Kay to every parent we know. It’s my hope they invest in their children’s safety and security. Kay taught my son many things that my husband and I would not have thought to articulate to him. After many years of driving it becomes intuitive. It’s hard to go back and break it down to teach someone from the beginning. And we aren’t all good teachers. Beyond grateful we trusted Ms. Kay to provide the driving lessons! Also, Kay graciously answered our questions and provided advice about the driving skills test long after our lessons concluded. She’s the best!

Fantastic experience: Found this driving school on facebook and I’m so happy to have Kay as my instructor. She’s so informative and she will help you to be more confident on the road. I chose to go with her on the interstate for the first time because she’s the only one I trust. It sure did take time but I wouldn’t be better at driving without her! Thank you Kay.

Fantastic experience: I went to this driving school after moving to downtown Martinsburg and only having street parking at my apartment. After one lesson I was able to parallel park and have been able to for the last 2.5 years. I'm very thankful for her guidance and recommend her to other people I know who have students who have to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: I came to Kay for driving practice, already having a license. I’ve never before met an instructor that is 100% engaged in teaching and observing, from the first until the last minute of class!! I was making tons of mistakes in the beginning but I was learning so much because she took time to explain what I was doing wrong and what the consequences of my mistakes are. Her driving practice classes are a cocktail of humor, firmness, personal stories, science and cool tricks to teach you to be confident and to stay alert and safe on the road!

Fantastic experience: Very good instructor here. Despite my anxiety from learning to drive, they knew when to push me without making it overwhelming. Good pacing on lessons. Helped me pass my driving exam in one go, develop the mindset of a safe, defensive driver and learn how to drive with confidence.

Fantastic experience: If I could give Kay more than five stars, I would. She was fantastic with my son, guiding him through the anxieties and fears that new drivers get and striking the right balance of giving confidence and encouragement and also pushing him when needed. She’s super knowledgeable and skilled - heck, I learned a lot by proxy! He passed on his first attempt to get his license, and I’d recommend Kay to anyone looking for a driving instructor.

Positive experience: Hi, I'm not sure how many instructors are with this organization, but my instructor was pretty good. I have anxiety and although she was very strict on mistakes I made, I have learned much more from her than other teachers. Your instructor's job is to lower your levels of stress with driving, if your instructor is not helping you with that, stop coming. She was on her phone on some occasions, but I think she checks on other scheduled students, and was still attentive to my driving. Also, if you are driving you must train your brain to deal with distractions anyways. She only checked her phone if she knew I was comfortable with the place I was driving. I recommend asking a lot of questions and always have a notebook with you. (I personally slipped up on practicing outside of the class, and I made my instructor a bit on edge/frustrated with me because I didn't practice enough, but other than that, its good.)
