Fantastic experience: Ladies and gentleman hear me when I say this! The Lewiston Idaho academy is second to none! My experience there was AMAZING! The instructors (Steve, Joe, and Scott) are very respectful, patient and will do everything within their power to make sure you receive all the tools needed to become a safe and successful driver. They All have played a MAJOR part of my successful completion of the academy. 11/05/25 and I am forever grateful! Hey if y'all are interested in getting your CDL what are you waiting for? Get down to Lewiston they will help make your dreams come true! God Bless you all…you got this!

Negative experience: Be warned... This school will not teach you how to drive a manual truck. There will be a restriction on your license and You'll be missing out On the best driving opportunities Do not Take their in house financing. It is easy With guaranteed approval. you will be contracted to swift for at least 13 months + the 2-3 months of yard / mentor training. they will garnish your wage for the cost of the school for the 13 months. Then paid it back over the next 12 And call it a sign on bonus. If they don't Hire you When you've completed your train or Fail. You will be liable for the full cost of the train Whether you have obtained your CDL or not. Do some research And find scholarships and grants or worker re education Programs That will make your CDL training Little to no Cost to you. I cannot stress this enough Find a school that will teach you to how to drive a manual. The restriction on your license Will limit your ability To find work With your CDL. If you want an easy school that will pass you With a high chance of job Placement As soon as you obtain your CDL Drive for swift. I have met some great people at swift that really care about their drivers. They are very understanding And forgiving To new drivers And we'll always try their best to get me home on time. But the manual restruction That the swift training program Leaves on your license Will be The biggest issue Your face After obtaining your CDL and completing your swift contract.

Fantastic experience: God is good just got my CDL A, passed my state test with flying colors. I had a great time at the Swift Driver Academy in Lewiston, Idaho. Great instructors that really care about their students, I had an awesome time even though weather was so hot. Now I'm going to start my mentorship at Knight Transportation in the upcoming weeks.

Fantastic experience: It's a tough industry, not for the thin skinned. I graduated from the Acedemy in Texas; I worked hard, studied hard and when an instructor yelled at me while driving... I thanked him. They are stimulating stressful moments. That's the job like it or not. Dirt lots are all over the country... Work through it.

Negative experience: I was driving with instructor and a student in the sleeper the instructor I won’t say any names but he tells me I will be taking a turn over the bridge into clarkston so I slow down signal and when I get to the turn I start to make it like normal and he starts yelling at me saying I don’t care what you think you don’t know what your doing and when I say yelling his spit was hitting me in the face ! I made the turn safely and correct didn’t cross the yellow lines not a safe school only care about numbers they can run threw like cattle that’s why a person died a couple years ago when new driver didn’t use run away truck ramp and hit car at the bottom of Lewiston grade . Don’t go to school there bad people

Negative experience: I never ended up attending classes. Signed up with a recruiter and I was scheduled to show up on Monday. It is now Friday and they told me just right now (via Email) that I need to have 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches of hair on my head for the hair follicle test or don't bother showing up. I can pass any drug test but I shave my head and I can't magically make hair appear on my head. If I could I don't think that I would have considered truck driving school... Maybe they should have told me about the hair requirement prior to today? Or that I have to have my permit already... Or that I have to have my Medical DOT exam already...

Negative experience: Stay FAR AWAY. 6750 FOR THE CLASS AND USE OLD BROKEN EQUIPMENT FROM 2013!!!!! DIRT LOT FILLED WITH POT HOLES AND CONES. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. AND THEY WHISPER JOKES AND TALK ABOUT THE STUDENTS IN A NEGATIVE MANNER. ALWAYS YELLING AND SHOUTING AT THERE STUDENTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Negative experience: WORST TRUCKING SCHOOL EVER! Drove all the way from Portland to Lewiston ID for nothing. Now me and 3 of my friends are headed back home with nothing. They said they’ll pay for gas to come and to go back but they left us empty handed. They said class starts at 5 and we show up 4:50 ish and they write us up that we came late at 5:10 then next day at 5:02. You get sent home if your late 3x. The Supervisor is messed up. He think he knows everything. If your a color person I highly wouldn’t recommend you to go to this place ever. The minute you step in you feel like you don’t belong there. They don’t treat you right. Worst school I’ve ever went to be honest. Never thought I would say this but the instructors are racist. DO NOT GO!
