a-Adams School of Driving: Reviews
Fantastic experience: My experience with A-Adam’s driving school was nothing short of great. The teacher (Mr.Rick) was an awesome person and was always understanding. I highly recommend this place for your own driving student (coming from a former student). Overall A-Adam’s was an exceptional experience and is well worth it. #GiveMrRickARaise
Fantastic experience: Mr. Rick is an amazing drivers ed teacher. He involves his students exceptionally, and makes drivers ed a fun place to be.

Negative experience: The company has a very good reputation, but the staff at the Arlington HTS location provides very poor service. Very poor service. I paid for the classes, but they didn't finish teaching my daughter.
Negative experience: Their instructors don’t know how to drive. I’ve had multiple experiences on the road where they ride my bumper, drive aggressively (speeding, cutting people off, etc), and are preoccupied on their phones while driving quite often. I would not send my child to this driving school. Their drivers are unsafe.
Negative experience: Very unprofessional. Cancelled several driving exams on us. The instructor told my son inappropriate stories while he drove. They gave erroneous information about the process of getting his ID After he completed the course and never sent to certification of completion to the DMV after he finished the course, which postponed his eligibility to get his license. Very disappointing service
Fantastic experience: I'm a college student with really bad driving anxiety and taking these driving classes really helped me be more confident in myself. My instructor was very nice and was not only very easy to talk to, but also was very helpful in explaining maneuvers and gave positive constructive feedback. Shout out to my boy Selmir!!!
Thank you so much. We are very glad you had a good experience. Let us know if we can help in any other way.
Negative experience: Me and multiple of my friends experienced our driving instructor covering the speedometer while we were driving so we “wouldn't look at it too much”. Don't send anyone here.
Negative experience: There is currently a 6 month wait to schedule the driving portion of the class, unless I'd like to take my student out of school to drive during the day. I think this should be posted on their website. I would have used a different driving school.
Negative experience: The worst school that can be in Illinois. People, don't go there if you want to save your health. My daughter’s first driving appointment was after 5 months after she got permit even though I paid $650 straight away. It's been 9 months since it started and my daughter still has 3 more hours of driving and there is no way they can fit it into the schedule. Today I was talking to Matt and he stupidly yelled at me and hung up the phone. The daughter also called, he shouted at her, and she was crying after that. I can even couldn’t talk, because he yelled all time. What is this? Bad school ever and customer service.!!!!
Hi, I am sorry you had a bad experience
however your family cancelled 3 lesson. She would have been done if they had not been cancelled. In spite of our staff getting screamed at, Matt was able to find a newly cancelled appointment to put her in. She will now be done in a timely manor. I truly hope this helps and wish you all well.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff, great school!
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with trying to even schedule the driving portion at this school. Please don’t waste your time they the instructors have specific duties and won’t or can’t answer any questions that isn’t pertaining to their job.
Fantastic experience: Great service and wonderful staff. Loved the way they helped us through the entire process of automobile education. No better place to learn to drive, highly recommend.
We are happy that you had a great experience with us. Thank you for sharing!
Positive experience: Getting the schedule is one bug deal. Expensive than other driving schools.
Negative experience: I'm sorry to say, but we are not happy with the instructions, especially with the driving portion. My daughter was never taken on the expressway, even when she asked for it. Also be aware that it is somewhat hard to schedule the driving in-car lesson, they don't have many instructors. We had to cancel frequently due to sport practices being constantly rescheduled (out of our control), but the wait for a "new" lesson was always very long. On the positive note the person ( maybe her name was Kathy) who emailed me my daughter's certification of completion from the main office was super nice and very helpful.
I am very sorry you were not happier with your experience. It is difficult to provide a student with a good program when she only goes 8 hours in 10 months. I see you cancelled 21 appointments. Never the less we want you to be happy. Let me know if you would like us to provide an expressway lesson for your daughter, 847-965-6565. Kasey
Negative experience: Class schedules were convenient so we chose A-Adams over the competitor that we used with an older child. Extremely disappointed in the driving lesson portion of the class. Had to wait a month for the first lesson and another month for the second. They won’t let you book the third lesson until you take the first one and so so on. It will be four months before we are done with the lessons each a month apart. They say it is 15 hours of on the road driving but the three hour lesson is your kid for an hour and two hours of observation, so actually it is 5 hours. Terrible program! Do not recommend at all! Don’t waste over $500 on this school.
Actually the Basic program is 6 hours of driving/6 hours of observation which is the program you signed up for and what we are doing with your student. It takes a couple of months do complete the program as we teach and then the parents practice in between the lessons. We are upfront with our students from the beginning. If you would like, give Kasey a call and she will get the last 2 appointments scheduled wit you.
