Fantastic experience: Great school and instructors.

Negative experience: Very unorganized!!! Booked my sister’s driving classes with them, they pushed her dates for class back twice!! Misleading driving advice while teaching, bad communication when it comes to telling clients what’s going on!! Class portion was ok!!

Negative experience: We used them a couple months ago for my son. I am very observant and i’ve noticed that they are more friendly with caucasian families and men. I don’t do reviews but when It comes to my kids I take the necessary steps to put my two cents in. Besides that be prepared to pay and extra $90 that isn’t included in the fee. $15 for books and $75 for skills test. If you are late at any point it’s a $40 late fee but no one paid me when they were late for one of the skills session. (My doctor office CHARGE $20 FOR A NO SHOW & $0 late fee ) The problem here is that they schedule you when they are available not the other way around. Your child will need to be scheduled for 4 different driving sessions. I was never late just informing you. It took about 1 month after the class to finish up with everything. My son said they only drove around Zachary and took breaks at the gas station so they really aren’t driving the entire time?!!! also the lady was on her phone while he was driving and it made him more comfortable but as a parent Im paying for them to utilize their experience and my money to equip my child for the road. Thankfully he started practicing way before he was old enough to be licensed. This is why there are so many accidents. it’s bad enough that they can be licensed after a few hours of driving & I’m sure there are parents who don’t have the nerves to teach their kids to drive and put trust in the school to equip them?. No kid in the world will turn down keys your because they don’t feel ready. WE HAVE TO PREPARE THEM CARS ARNT TOYS Lastly In 2022 We used another driving school in Baton Rouge for my step son, it was $550 for EVERYTHING he drove 1 time immediately after the class was completed. They drove from Airline to Lamar Dixon and the interstate they took a picture and posted it to their instagram account for proof. THATS DRIVING CLASS! Good Luck and Peace be on to you!

Fantastic experience: I’m one proud Nana. We picked this school based on its location (needed something in the Zachary area) and I’m sure glad we did. My grandson was provided with a great classroom experience as well as driving lessons. Everything was explained thoroughly from the cost of the class, the expectations of the student, and the overall goal of becoming a safe driver. Ms. Bobbie (sic) AND the driving instructor were extremely helpful. We got our money’s worth and we are pleased! I HIGHLY recommend Zachary Driving Academy.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Coates is an amazing woman of God who has patience with all people who come in her place for business especially parents. She and her staff takes time to make sure you are straight and ready and will help you when you don’t understand. They are very encouraging and you won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: Long review but please read b4 paying for this class!!! The class supposed to be 495 but u have to pay ex 15 for book..then when u finally get to drive if ur as little as 5 min late they cancel ur drive and u have to pay an extra $25 they will only bring them to neighborhood right behind them so ur new driver doesn't ever go over 20mph no lane change, no merge, no highway, no real experience whatsoever for 500.00!!! then they charge another 75 for the road test my daughter is short and couldn't see over steering wheel and seat lift was broke they didn't offer anything to help her with that until after she was failed for not stopping at the white line of stop signs( she couldn't see) and for the way she back out (the lady told her never back her car unto the road)but this guy marked it against her that she turned it around in parking lot instead of backing into road I really do believe it's all about the money here if not i believe they would have offered the booster seat to see and redone the test but hey they informed me that when she comes back to retake road test they'll give me a discount

Negative experience: I took my 18 year old grandson there for a road test and when they got back my grandson was almost on tears, he said that Bobbi picked at everything she told him to do. Failing someone is one thing and telling them they need more practice I can except, but making a kid feel humiliated and putting down on them is another. And that is just to make a long story short. Never again, one star is to much

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough great things about the classroom portion of this school for Driver’s Ed! Bobbi was wonderful to work with. Waiting for our so. to be scheduled for the driving portion now. It’s hard finding a school in Baton Rouge that is professional and offers a quality program at a great price. It’s worth driving to Zachary for this school!

Fantastic experience: If you have children or even an adult family member that needs the services of a driving academy this school has top notch services. The instructors take their jobs seriously and not only focus on making their students great drivers they make sure the kids understand the responsibilities, potential dangers and rules of the road when driving! They don’t take what they do lightly! My son has officially has met the requirements to obtain his driving permit! Thank you Mrs. Coates and the staff at Zachary Driving Academy!

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter really enjoyed this driving school She said the instructor was very nice helpful, and Knowledge. About La.driving law. I would highly recommend this driving academy. To have a peace of mind of for your young person that’s ready to started driving

Negative experience: Well, if we could get a refund of $495.00 back that we paid for this sorry excuse of a business to teach teenagers to drive better, we would. This place is a farce, a joke. The class for her "temporary permit", that is ONLY legal to drive with them in their cars was another $30+ that the state collected. When she went to take her permit test, the instructor said, " If you don't have your seatbelt on, & you see you are going to wreck, cover your face and lay down in the seat". OK, she was suggesting that these teenagers wear seatbelts if they feel like it. The emphasis should have been on the law, not IF... Also, to even think you MAY be going to have a wreck is silly. Wrecks happen in the blink of an eye. Now that she passed her permit test, she goes 4 more days, 2 hours each to practice driving. Her first day on the road was spent with an instructor who brought her lunch with her. Total disrespect. The instructor yelled at her and criticised her the entire time she was driving. I would NOT recommend this driving school to anyone. I have never seen such a dysfunctional business that is supposed to be making these children be better drivers.
