Fantastic experience: Joshua has Aspergers. I had a tough time instructing him while in parking lots; he made me a nervous wreck (my issue). Thankfully I found Holly's phone number. Holly helped me realize Josh did not need to be held back just because he has a disability. Parents with kids/adults with disabilities may think driving isn't possible, but it is possible. If you don't try, then you will never know. I know I was a big part of the problem since I worried he wouldn't succeed. I had to change 'my' mindset. After a few lessons Holly let me know Joshua was doing great and could do this. There was no reason to hold him back. Holly was "extremely" helpful and encouraging. Josh has gained so much confidence with his driving and getting out on his own. I feel so much better knowing he is doing well. It used to worry me when he would step out the door to leave for work, but that has all changed for the better.

Fantastic experience: I was so thankful to have found Holly and her practice driving company! She is very informative, comfortable to be around, and is so kind as an instructor. She makes sure to tell you the truth and if you need to work on something, but does so respectfully as a teacher. I just got my license a few months ago, and I give my thanks to Holly for helping make that happen.

Fantastic experience: Kind of a late review, but she helped me get my license 2 years ago! She is so kind and patient with new drivers! I had bad experience with driving instructors in the past so this was definitely a breath of fresh air for me! I'm definitely recommending my younger brother her when he learns to drive!

Fantastic experience: I worked with Holly almost one year ago to get my license. She was great to work with, informative, calm, understanding, and knowledgeable. I went from knowing next to nothing about driving to being able to pass my test first try. Holly was very accommodating with my schedule and various issues I had. My friend recommended her to me and I would highly recommend her as well for any new drivers. Specifically, she understands the challenges for adult drivers, our needs, and gives practical advice for driving. She wants to work with you for your goals. Holly would even direct me through routes I'd likely use for work to start to familiarize me. Regarding the road test, she knew the routes for Mr. Rs (where I tested) which made things easier for practice and had great tips for parking. She also provided a test paper as well and written instructions of how to do various maneuvers and has years of experience in teaching (both driving ed and in working with students). All in all, I built up a lot of confidence in learning to drive, which use to feel like an impossible goal, and felt very prepared for the test/driving. I also felt her prices were reasonable (especially as you practice in her car as well). Thanks, Holly! ☺️

Fantastic experience: I was so lucky to have Holly as my instructor. (Hi Holly! You are probably wondering who this is It's my fake online name shown here…) She always managed to give feedback in a way that’s both informative and encouraging, and she would notice the smallest progress you made and highlight that in real-time. I was really nervous about driving, but after the behind-the-wheel lessons with Holly, I can finally drive with confidence! I just passed my road test today thanks to her . I really want to recommend Holly to my friends, but all of them can already drive, so I’m here leaving a review for anyone that’s still hesitating—take this chance, practice with Holly, you are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I had recently moved to Michigan from NYC where I never needed a license so it was time. Imagine a 45 year old getting their license! In any case I found Poore through one of the other schools who recommended them especially since I wasnt a teen . Setting up classes was easy and there was little pressure to sign up. Holly told me to take as many classes as I would need and would let me know if I needed to proceed with more. Signing up was easy and classes were smooth. Holly was great knowledge of what's needed to pass and was able to assess my skill. I knew how to drive but hadn't tested in years. Holly was also very patient and professional and always made me feel comfortable with feedback without judgement. After two classes I was able to past the test. Holly and Poores school was very professional and worth your time and money. Thanks again for helping me!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a Driving Instructor to help my daughter prepare for the road test and I came upon Poore’s Practice Driving during an online search and signed my daughter up for a few lessons. The instructor, Holly, was so amazing with my daughter. My daughter’s confidence has grown tremendously through this experience and she is getting better every day and very close to taking the road test thanks to Holly’s instruction and oversight. My daughter and I are so thankful to Holly for her careful and proficient driving instruction and for the confidence building she has instilled in my daughter. We could not be happier with our experience with Poore’s Practice Driving and Holly’s expertise.

Fantastic experience: I had an easier time during drive sessions than I expected. Holly was always very patient with me and always gave pointers as on what best to do in certain road conditions. Even for parking (especially blind side/parallel) where I had a lot of trouble in the beginning to get the car into the space without touching or crossing the boundary lines, she gave me helpful tips on to do correctly. So by the time of the actual test I was more proficient at it. She's a good communicator and always encouraging. In summary, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Holly was a great instructor for my 18 year old who hadn’t been able to get into drivers ed due to Covid limitations. She did a great job, providing feedback on what needed to be practiced and when she told me that my child would pass the test, she was right. First time! I absolutely recommend Holly for anyone needing practice driving.

Fantastic experience: I attended driving training sessions with Ms. Holly Poore, and the learning experience was par-excellent. Ms. Holly was extremely patient and very encouraging. She was very thorough in answering all the queries. She understood the specific challenge one faces as an adult when learning to drive in a new country, with new rules. The pointers she gave during our training sessions were very helpful during the actual driving test. Additionally, she was very punctual and ensured that I got adequate practice within my stipulated sessions, without requiring anymore sessions, before I appeared for the test. The pricing of training sessions is also very reasonable. She is an amazing driving instructor for adults , and I highly recommend her driving school, especially for those who come from other countries.
