Fantastic experience: We appreciate all Steve taught our daughter. He provided us with directions on what to practice between sessions so we knew exactly what she was to practice. Definitely would recommend. Our son is signed up to start in November.

Fantastic experience: While I understand the concerns in the other reviews I've read; Mr Selz will set you up for a lifetime of safe driving. I attended this academy in 2012. I have never been in an accident, and I was only pulled over for the very first time just days ago (going 7 over, nothing crazy). I think of the things he taught me EVERY second of my driving. I've met so many people that had zero knowledge of driving and tell me how their drivers training taught them nothing other places. I will admit, Mr Selz was a little intimidating when I attended. But years later I regret not thanking him then.

Negative experience: I just learned that the instructor, Steve, teaches out of date practices which are unsafe. Examples... 1. He will require students to drive at 10 and 2(more like 11 and 1) when 9 and 3 is the correct position with all modern cars with airbags. This has been the standard for decades(See: NHTSA, or any other regulatory commission). 2. He requires students to drive hand over hand when turning. This has not been the correct movement for a long time, again for clear safety reasons. The list of poor/unsafe instruction goes on, but you get the idea. It sounds like there is no point in explaining his faults with him either. There are many options out there to teach your kids to drive. Pick a safe one.

Fantastic experience: I can say that I am 100% confident that my daughter is prepared to take on driving by herself, all thanks to Steve. He prepared her to be a safe and confident driver and make this nervous momma very confident in her abilities. And, he encouraged me to ride along with them so I knew and saw first hand what they were practicing and how it needed to be done!! (Game changer, I promise!!) He is very passionate about his teaching and expects you to know what you’re doing, and why shouldn’t he? These are our children’s lives we are talking about! This is also his full time career, not just something he does in the evenings for extra money. I loved the in person class instead of her plopped in front of a computer, playing on her phone instead of listening to the content of the video. I can’t remember the exact amount of the class off the top of my head, but I do remember it being about the same amount that I paid for my other daughter, at a different place we lived, 5 years ago. And I would pay double that for the confidence and knowledge she received with Steve. My child’s life is priceless!! I would definitely recommend this driving school to everyone! Thank you so much, Steve! I appreciate what you did for my daughter, and for me!

Fantastic experience: Best place to learn how to drive and learn the art of driving! Kinda pricey but the best place in town! Also a very funny and goofy teacher who makes learning the best!!

Negative experience: Would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. The entire course should take anyone roughly 4-6 months to complete. It took me 11 months to complete, mostly due to having to relearn things after long gaps in the program and the lack of communication on Steve the driving instructor's part, along with me leaving numerous unreturned voicemails to schedule the next lesson. When this didn't work after several weeks, I had to confront Steve in person to schedule my next lesson. This class was so long that my temps (which took me three tries to get) were about to expire when I took my DMV driving exam for my license. I passed my first attempt with the minimum score needed to pass. Had I not passed the exam, who knows what would have happened. Anyone considering this program, please look elsewhere. My advice for Steve: you really shouldn't be running this whole operation without employees, especially without a functioning receptionist.

Negative experience: Very bad. Never send you teenage to this driving class. He never had time to work with my daughter, told me that the parent need to work with her. We did, she passed her driving test and now he will not sign off on it. Do not pay the money. Not worth it
