Fantastic experience: I loved sandy!!!! She was so sweet and nice!! She was a great teacher and if I messed up she would talk me through the whole thing to make sure I got it right the next time!! I learned so much from her she is so nice and I loved my experience with her and I would recommend her to everyone!

Fantastic experience: i absolutely loved sandy!! im a nervous wreck when it comes to driving, so when i booked my in-cars EVERYONE told me to book with Sandy and she did not disappoint!! She's the most helpful and very calming to be around! I really enjoyed talking to her and the time i spent with her!

Positive experience: I was reading reviews before meeting Sandy and they were making me all nervous, just to find out she is an absolute sweetheart. I loved having Sandy, she was never mean when correcting me and taught me great for my maneuverability! I 100% recommend her, I had so much fun:)

Negative experience: literally just don’t go here. was screamed at through out my entire in car by my instructor(barb) and stayed on her phone majority of the time and would lie to her student just so they would pass. would refuse to help me then scream in my face when i did it wrong. verbally screaming and saying crazy things does NOTHING for your students but hurt them. she insulted people as we were driving around and was constantly judging people for their different appearances. and i’m almost positive i would’ve got my license so much earlier if it wasn’t for this horrible, unreliable school. they are so so rude and don’t want to help you, THEY JUST WANT MONEY. they could give less of a damn what happens after you pay. so so so overpriced.

Negative experience: Sandy was an awesome instructor. My daughter really liked her. Unfortunately the processing time for the certificate so we can schedule her driving test is taking too long. My daughter wants to take the test and it's been a week since driving behind the wheel classes ended. She's so excited to take her test but can't until they process the certificate. We are really frustrated. Sandy was awesome though.

Fantastic experience: Barb at Medina has been absolutely fantastic. My son loves her. He said he learned alot while having fun. She is very patient while they were doing the in cars. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero I would. Worst driving school ever. Instructor sucked. Made my granddaughter cry. Got out of car during maneuverability and said do it yourself and had a cigarette. Took breaks on my dime. Tried to get issue resolved and the woman I spoke with was very rude and hot helpful in anyway. Not worth $500.00. Don't waste your time, your money and emotional health over this school.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I passed my exam. I lost 5 points for not turning right on red when the intersection was empty, hesitation (Sandy's advice for me was to simply never turn right on red as it is an option and they frown upon doing it and will mark it as aggressive) and 5 points for a "double stop" at a red sign, (during lesson I was told testers prefer to stop further back from the stop sign and then roll to be extra safe after 3 second stop and then go, my test person told me that it was only necessary when vision is blocked and is frowned upon otherwise). These were nitpicky, but these were things I asked during my lesson in order to perform well according to the test - especially as an Australian right on red is new to me. To give context, I am a 33 year old driver from Australia who is only taking my test to get my license in Ohio as my Australian license has since expired. The lesson was a one off to help me prepare for the manuveravility portion of the test and to shake off any bad habits I've learned as I have not been a learner driver for 10 or so years. At the end of my test I was given 5 stars for all categories and the comment stated that I am a very good driver. As the manager spoke to my husband so poorly and basically said there was no problem I would like to offer warning to you all. The instructor grabbed my wheel: - when merging into another lane - when driving through square 22 she held the wheel and DROVE the car from the passenger seat through ALL traffic light intersections - when approaching a fed ex truck on a 2 lane road, I slowed behind it to try and see if it was safe to move around it. She urged me to just go and I pointed out that I still could not see, she grabbed my wheel and yanked me into the other lane around the truck - when turning onto a 55mph main road, I had barely enough time to check ONE SIDE before she yelled and told me to GO GO and grabbed the wheel. She left no time to assess traffic and whether it was safe for me to go. This was at a stop sign. - when entering a roundabout she grabbed and pulled the wheel, when I explained that we have roundabouts in Australia and I'm very familiar she let go halfway through - driving into the Medina parking lot to do cone practice, she yanked the wheel left to turn down a small hidden driveway - during the maneuverability practice, she did the whole thing herself leaning across from the passenger side, and while very impressive did not teach me anything of value and when I finally got to try it once, she looked up from her phone midway through to yell at me for turning too much, slammed the brakes on her side and then proceeded to turn the wheel just as I was trying to correct my position within the cones. After this, I asked if I could try again and she said we didn't have time When driving on a 25mph road, she decided 23 was too fast and repeated "it's 25, you need to be doing 21, 22, 23, 24 miles per hour". I don't understand this, she can see the digital number on my dash. She often complained that I was gripping the wheel too tight, or would tell me not to brake as when she reached for the wheel I would instinctively brake feeling like I've lost control of the car. This is all happening while her phone is constantly going off, she's always looking at her phone, we stopped for gas during the lesson, and when driving through square 22 I felt her getting frustrated with me that I wasn't looking at all the homeless people around sleeping on benches that she was pointing out. There were many times we were stopped at a T intersection because she was so busy talking id have to ask "left or right?". The manager told me I should've spoken up and there should be no problem because I received a perfect score. Please please heed my warning, if I was a learner driver this would leave me terrified to ever drive again. Please don't do this to your poor children, the roads are dangerous enough!

Negative experience: I’m 25 and finally getting my driver’s license for the first time, and my experience with Sandie, the so-called "instructor," was an absolute disaster. I’m furious just thinking about it. I expected to get some help prepping for my test, but instead, Sandie treated me like I was about to wreck the car at every turn. Anytime I tried to do something, she’d grab the damn wheel like she was saving both our lives. And don’t get me started on her literally driving the car from the passenger seat—through intersections, lane changes, all of it. What the hell was the point of me being there?! At one point, we got stuck behind a truck, and when I was trying to see if it was safe to pass, Sandie just took the wheel and yanked us into the other lane like my safety didn’t matter. Same thing happened at a stop sign—she’s yelling at me to "GO GO GO" and practically ripping the wheel out of my hands before I could even check for traffic. It was reckless and beyond frustrating. Oh, and the speed limit? I’m going two miles under the limit, and she’s losing her shit, telling me to go slower, like I’m some kind of maniac. Meanwhile, her phone is blowing up the entire time—texts, calls, you name it. She even stopped for gas during MY lesson. Like, really?! By the end, she barely let me practice anything, and when I asked to try again, she straight-up said no. The manager’s response? “You got a perfect score, so no big deal.” Yeah, sure, except for the fact that Sandie nearly got us killed and didn’t teach me a damn thing. Bottom line: stay the hell away from Sandie. She’s a controlling, reckless mess who shouldn’t be allowed near anyone trying to learn how to drive. You’ve been warned.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time or money!!!!

Negative experience: This place is terrible. With my first to go through, during her behind the wheel training, her instructor (the only one in Medina) took her to a parking lot where they “chatted” for about an hour. She asked my daughter questions about the most random topics that were totally unrelated to driving. For my second child, first, she did the online training and it took an entire month for her to get her certificate of completion. Then, when we signed up for BTW training, we were repeatedly accused of uploading an image of documents. They were not. My husband is in cybersecurity, for god’s sake, and knows how to upload a scanned .pdf. After several days of back and forth and rescanning and reuploading, we said forget it and we requested a refund. Instead of refunding the full $436 we were charged, they refunded $419. It was the worst customer service and the email I received in response to my complaint was unintelligible but repeated that we were lying about the documents. I’ve never had such poor services from any business ever.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. Scheduled my son's drive time. She had us meet her at a different location then turns around and never showed up or response to us. Then the next week comes and she told us he wasn't scheduled to drive even though he was. Go on the website and someone canceled it and never told us about it. Called to talk to a supervisor and never got a call back. We have had 3 classes scheduled and my son hasn't done a single one so far. They had no problem taking my money but now I can't get my son in to drive with an instructor. The absolute worst way to conduct buisness.

Fantastic experience: I have no idea where the negative experiences came from, or maybe things have changed, but Sandy was nothing but helpful, instructional, communicative, pleasant, etc. My daughter was already knowledgeable and somewhat experienced behind the wheel before her first in-car with Sandy. I took her out a lot to get her some experience beforehand. There was some confusion regarding location at the start of the classes-piece, but that got resolved timely. Constructive criticism: I agree with other reviewers in that the call staff are a bit abrasive when you call the main number and try to ask a question. That's definitely some room for improvement.

Negative experience: I can’t speak for the in-person classes, however, I would not recommend the online driving course. Our daughter finished her classes on July 6th. It is August 1st, and we are still waiting for her certificate. The first time we called about the delay, we were told it would take up to 2 weeks (business days). After the 2 weeks, we called again and we were told mail is slow, give it another 3 days. After 3 days, we called again, and we were told we should have it by now, so they will send out another certificate. They also told us the earliest we would receive it would be August 12th. The only way for us to receive it sooner would be to pay an additional $25. The frustrating piece is that our daughter is unable to begin her in-car lessons until she receives her certificate of completion. She worked diligently to complete the online courses to schedule her in-cars before school began, and due to the negligence of this driving establishment, she will not be able to do so.

Negative experience: The lady “monitoring service” who answered was so absolutely rude to my daughter twice when she called. I called and asked our question again. She argued with me and was speaking over me. Do not send your kid here. Disgusting. The question was if their drivers were backed up as the schools located near us are. And finally I got the answer to my question which was that she had no idea. I couldn’t even deal with her. If you’re that miserable at your job then you shouldn’t be working there, especially with teenagers.

Fantastic experience: Did my in-cars here and the instructor was just absolutely amazing. I got in very quickly. I passed my driving test first try (which was due to the ability of the instructor to teach me how to do all the little things right). They are fantastic; absolutely recommend!

Negative experience: They have no way of communicating with their teachers there are no phone numbers to get a hold of the in car driving instructors and they do not give out their personal cell phone numbers. They also lost my sons online certificate and I had to purchase it again in addition to losing the paperwork I had to wait six additional weeks for the paperwork to get filed. As if Covid didn’t make things nearly impossible due to the fact that they would not allow in car driving instructors during the pandemic. Also the DMV will not allow any extension due to an issue with the school. I have already paid for the online course and certificate twice because they had lost it now I will have to pay for a temporary permit again. My sons temporary license is expiring in two weeks and we still are unable to set up an in car driving instructor.

Negative experience: I was told they were only booked out til May when I called them for behind the wheel. So I got a package with them. There is not 1 day in May or June that it will let me book!

Traci Donoughe 5 years ago

Negative experience: I emailed pro driver about a week ago for more details on a package I was looking at. I specifically asked about when I would be able to schedule behind the wheel training. All they told me was that they were scheduling for the end of November and December. I paid for the package, had to enter my receipt into their website for some unknown reason, and then wait 2 days. At the end of 2 days, I tried to schedule a lesson. It told me I had to enter the receipt information again so I did, but I also messaged them through their website. A few hours later they said it had been taken care of. So I tried again, but it said that I had to schedule a class before I could schedule behind the wheel training. I emailed again and was told kind of rudely that I was doing it wrong. So I tried it again. I went right to November and tried there. It said they were booked. Okay, I thought maybe in the 2 day waiting period and the 1 day issues that I've been having, November filled up. So I went to December. It also said they were booked. Of course I messaged again. Now she tells me that October was booked and the dates for the next two months haven't been loaded onto the calendar yet. I'm fuming. Why do they think it's in their best interest to waste my time? I'm busy. I don't have time to play "let's see if pro driver can bother to be honest".
