Q Driving School: Reviews

Negative experience: Big waste of money. The instructors were absolutely so disrespectful. I was called names multiple times (for example, a dumb little girl) and they’re not good when it comes to driving either. They will belittle you and make you feel ashamed of yourself. They will also make you cry. This driving school is definitely not worth $500, and I suggest people go to a more professional place that won’t belittle you, yell at you, and call you names when you make a small mistake. Also in my experience, while I was driving next to a rocky wall, one of the instructors yanked the wheel and told me to drive closer to it almost hitting the rock wall. DO NOT take this class.

Negative experience: I attended Driver’s Ed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but my experience was not affected by the pandemic itself. Rather, it was marred by a lack of professionalism from the owner. My brother, who attended two years later, had a similar experience. During our driving lessons, the instructor frequently made inappropriate and unprofessional remarks. He would talk to the boys about drinking and relationships, while undermining the girls, claiming that certain behaviors “weren’t for ladies.” On one occasion, while driving through Omak, he pointed out homeless people, and told me and the girls in our car that they were our boyfriends. His teaching methods were also disturbing. During one session, he repeatedly yelled at my friend while she was practicing parallel parking. He often resorted to shouting and belittling students, which crossed the line into verbal abuse. At one point, he pulled over the car to scream at a student, threatening to keep their $600 without hesitation. The student wasn’t being disrespectful, he simply asked what he needed to do. There was a particularly alarming incident when I was driving, and the instructor suddenly grabbed the wheel and jerked it to the right to park without giving any warning. When I tapped the brake to avoid hitting a parked car, he yelled at me, calling me a “stupid girl” and insisting he knew what he was doing. What was even more troubling was his behavior after he would upset the girls during lessons. Once we were in tears, he would act like “Mr. Nice Guy,” trying to act all friendly and apologetic, knowing full well that we were likely to speak up about how poorly we were treated. During my drive test, I made a small mistake, but Mr.Q was calm and polite when informing me I had failed. He told me I could return for a retest in two hours. However, when I came back, his mood had worsened because another student had failed before me. Throughout my retest, he continued to lash out, yelling when I stopped at a red light and turned right, claiming I had hesitated too long. After the test, he even screamed at my mom, saying I had no clue the rules of the road. My brother had his own negative experience. The instructor would repeatedly grab the wheel, jerking the car, and when my brother pointed out that this wasn’t proper, Mr. Q pulled over and screamed at him in front of other students, calling him names and cursing him out. Overall, this experience was not only unprofessional but also harmful. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My daughter took her drivers Ed through them. We had no trouble with Mr.Q at all. The kids he got snappy with were the ones who were constantly making jokes and not taking it seriously. Driving is serious and needs to be taken seriously. He expects them to come to class prepared. They are almost 16 if you are responsible enough to drive you should be able to sit through class and not act like an idiot.

Negative experience: Bad. Don’t recommend unless you want your mental stability to go down. If I could give negative stars this would have all five.

Negative experience: Firstly, I would NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone beware. Although there are a couple of positive reviews for Q's Driving School, my experience with Mr Qiudwai speaks for itself. This was my first driving test in a new location where I was bound to make a couple mistakes as everyone does their first time. Mr Q repeatedly belittled me, yelled directly in my face, took the wheel while I was driving by force did not provide clear instructions, made personal attacks, and more throughout my test. I did do poorly from my nerves due to his unprofessionalism and me just needing more practice, but he completely made the situation worse with his little comments like "you already know you failed, I don't have to say it" and yelling "YOU DO NOT KNOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD directly in my face" and other side comments that where made to deliberately undermind my confidence. For a first time driver stay far far away from taking a test or lessons from this instructor. So so unprofessional, there is a reason why he was fired from multiple school districts, overall such a terrible driving test experience, save yourself from a traumatic driving experience.

Negative experience: What they teach is truly informative, and they do things by the book. However, the instructors are completely inconsiderate of the students and are entirely unprofessional. I was on a group drive with the husband who was yelling and yanking at the wheel while the student was driving. If the student was recklessly driving, I truly believe it landed on the fault of Mr Quidwai. The instructors constantly act like they hate their job and talk in patronizing ways. I STRONGLY encourage you to take another driving school. The only positive experiences I had at this school were with two driving instructors who were not the husband and wife.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school. The instructors are a little sharp in class but seriously have great personality. Don't freak out when u see the rough side of their personality, they have to be harsh to get the point (no nonsense) across. Driving is not a joke. It's serious stuff so they are too
