Fred Myers School of Driving

Fantastic experience: I would like to share the experience I had with Fred Myers driving school. My daughter just passed her driver's test. She was very nervous. But thanks to the professionalism and preparation of Fred Myers driving school, she passed her test with no problems. I would like to say thank you to Scott Dossett for ensuring that my daughter was well prepared and confident for that very important day. I would highly recommend every young driver take the lessons provided by Fred Myers. It will make a difference

Fantastic experience: I didn’t get to meet Fred himself, but Scott was great. I learned a lot and Scott is very good at what he does. Very funny guy and has exceptional music taste. Didn’t know if I was going to enjoy my time there, but I’d say it’s worth going for.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely recommend Fred Myers School of Driving. Our son passed both his permit and driving skills test with no issues thanks to the instruction that he received. We were very impressed with the driving lessons. They took the time to work with him on specific skills to ensure his success with being a safe and careful driver. I think this is a great place to start the process of teaching young drivers. They responded quickly to emails, and it was easy to schedule both the classroom and driving portions of the training. An extra bonus is a discount on insurance, too! A big shoutout for offering this service in Paducah!

Negative experience: Waste of money. My nephew paid for classes and got zero driving lessons. My sister is having to take time from her job to teach her son how to drive after he paid to go to this so called driving school. Seems pretty scummy and like a scam if people are paying for their kids to get driving lessons and the driving school isn't actually teaching kids how to drive.

Fantastic experience: We were very pleased with Fred’s instruction for our daughter over ten years ago. Glad to know his operation is still available!

Negative experience: This was the biggest waste of money ever.. we paid for a teenager to have driving school and he was taught nothing!!! He had 2 classes and 2 driving days and then I was told there was no room on the calendar for him and was given a certificate and said he was ready to start driving.. He was not taught anything about the rules of the road or how to drive on the road... absolutely a waste of money, I would not Recommend this school to anyone..

Negative experience: I had 2 lessons with him. And he is the rudest person I have ever met. He tells people that they’ll never get a license. His mouth runs 100 times faster than a car does, and he uses words that discourages learners. Not only that, Fred Meyers is very discriminative!

Fantastic experience: All the workers there are very friendly and helpful. The classes were long but he made them interesting and funny! When we drove, he always made sure I knew exactly what I was doing before I could overwhelm myself. I’ve left his class learning things about driving that even my parents don’t know! I’ll remember his services and tips forever. :)

Negative experience: Honestly, it's no lie that he's one of the rudest people ever. 2/4 of my driving sessions with him, he made me cry!

Fantastic experience: Because of this class I passed my drivers test with no marks off. They're good people and could at what they do. Definitely worthwhile.

Fantastic experience: My son recently took this class. Between his classroom time and driving time, he received wonderful training. He went and took his driver's test and passed on the first try. He even impressed the inspector with his ability to parallel park. This was a skill that Fred taught him as I never attempted to teach him because I can't do it myself. The inspector stated that she could tell that he had received training. His test literally took just over 5 minutes to pass because Fred had taught him exactly what he needed to know. It was definitely money well spent. Plus, my insurance company offers a discount for the training he received so the investment is actually paying for itself.

Negative experience: He is one of the rudest people you'd ever speak with. When you try to reach him and make an appointment, he acts like he doesn't even care. He is a joke and frankly isn't very good at teaching you to drive. He tells you things like "you'll never get your license" Don't use his services!
