Fresh Green Light Driving School

Fantastic experience: From the moment I first made contact with these guys they were so kind and helpful and made me feel really at ease and confident about my test. I had tried two other schools that were really disappointing so was also able to compare the quality of the service and was just so happy with Fresh Green Light throughout my experience with them. Amadeo was such a friendly, experienced, caring and dedicated driving instructor and Tim was equally very warm and helpful when I called with some questions before the test! Learning to drive and doing the test can be so stressful so it makes a huge difference to feel like you're in good hands, and that's what I felt with Fresh Green Light, really grateful for the whole team who helped me pass! :D Thank you

Fantastic experience: Great instructors

Fantastic experience: FGL provided an excellent service and experience. We've put 4 children through their 30 hour driver education programs. Each child passed their licensing test with flying colors and, most important, all are good, prudent, drivers. I highly recommend FGL.

Positive experience: My son received very clear next-steps along the entire program, from advising about frequency for driving practice to what the student should prepare for day of road test and acquiring the license at the DMV. Some classes seemed a little repetitive, but that is not necessarily bad at all! The flexibility of not taking the classes in order helps but with that students can learn about concepts in an odd order. Still the way the class topics are designed, any class order taken is effective.

Fantastic experience: Classes were easy to schedule and the flexibility of multiple sites made it easier to get all the classes done in a short time. Driving instructors were patient and supportive. My daughter was in an accident in the driver's ed car. The company cud not have been more supportive and accommodating to get our needs met and our daughter to get back in the car. Will recommend this company

Fantastic experience: Flexible! There are so many more requirements for kids these days to get their driver's license!! Having the flexible class schedule that FGL offers really helped my son get his license in a reasonable amount of time. I loved the fact that he mostly took classes in the Westport location but he had the option to take them in the nearby towns when our schedule didn't permit the Westport option. Also, taking the test itself through FGL instead of going to DMV is a life-saver!! Very happy with the whole experience. Kathie in Westport

Negative experience: Waist of time. There are never any class times available and bad customer service. My daughter ended up getting her license 2 months after she was scheduled to because of the lack of classes. Do not pay for this. If I had my life to relive I would not even have my daughter do this for free.

Positive experience: I recommend Green Light over its competitors. Pick up and drop off locations for driving sessions is very flexible. The in class sessions are plentiful and you can simply drop in. The only down fall is that the schedule for driving gets so full you have to sign up in advance as possible. However, if the drivers test is imminent, GL does give priority to get all requirements fulfilled.

Fantastic experience: Encouraging & effective instructors; amazing flexibility for busy teenagers with rotation of classes & able to be picked up at home or other convenient location for driving lessons; incredibly helpful to be able to schedule driving test thru FGL & take test on familiar route that's been well-practiced during driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to submit this review because sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the instructors at Fresh Green Light for the amazing service they provide. The instructors have taught me that no matter how many times you may fail at something (perhaps backing in parking) it is always okay to try again and again until you get it right. They care about every single student and let's them know that if they need help they are there for them. In particular, John Doland of the Westport location is one of the sweetest people I will probably ever meet. He has gone above and beyond every single requirement his job had to ensure that I, along with many other students, were succeeding. From just genuinely engaging in conversation to taking me out for ice cream to celebrate my last drive, I can say that he has inspired me to be a better person and achieve more. John, along with the other Westport and Fairfield instructors, has made my time at drivers ed enjoyable (which is a hard feat) by engaging students in classroom in innovative ways and telling anecdotes.
